Olde Naples Hotel Opens Tammy Fender Holistic Skin Care & Spa

Olde Naples Hotel Opens Tammy Fender Holistic Skin Care & Spa

Naples, FL, September 30, 2026 –(PR.com)– Olde Naples Hotel has opened the new Tammy Fender Holistic Skin Care 7 Spa, adding a major wellness component to the luxury hotel that debuted this spring in the heart of Naples’ historic Third Street South district. Open to hotel guests and the local community, the new spa brings holistic skincare pioneer Tammy Fender’s more than 25 years of plant-based skincare expertise and personalized treatments just one block from Naples Beach.

Designed as a quiet retreat within Olde Naples Hotel, the spa complements a stay shaped by the relaxed pace and walkability of its Old Naples setting. Warm tones, natural textures and tropical greenery create a calming backdrop for treatments, while the hotel’s rooftop pool and courtyard, nearby beach, and surrounding shops, restaurants and galleries offer additional ways to slow down and experience the neighborhood.

The Naples location is Fender’s third spa and features customized face and body treatments pairing her botanical skincare formulations with hands-on techniques and advanced wellness technologies. The menu includes Fender’s Signature Holistic Facial Treatment, a 60-minute experience incorporating healing plant extracts, oxygen therapy and reflexology, along with new services such as 90-minute Neuromuscular Therapy and Buccal Facial Massage.

Fender personally selected the Naples team, bringing together world-class specialists in skincare, bodywork and complementary wellness practices. Long before holistic skincare became mainstream, Fender was developing an approach that views skincare as part of overall well-being. Drawing on her experience as an aesthetician and her study of herbalism, aromatherapy, cutting-edge holistic therapies and traditional healing practices, she became known for both her award-winning botanical skincare collection and transformative spa treatments.

“Naples is a very special community, and Third Street South feels like a natural home for what we do,” said Fender. “There is a wonderful connection here between history, nature and a more intentional way of living. We wanted the spa to reflect that spirit and create an experience that feels personal, restorative and rooted in a genuine sense of place.”

That sense of place extends beyond the spa. Olde Naples Hotel stands on the site of the original Naples Hotel, the city’s first hotel, which opened in 1889. The new hotel pays homage to those roots while reimagining the property as a modern-day gathering place in a neighborhood long associated with tropical landscapes, intimate courtyards and the restorative appeal of the Gulf Coast.

The opening also expands Fender’s relationship with Opal Collection, which includes Tammy Fender Holistic Skin Care & Spa at Opal Grand Resort & Spa in Delray Beach. Earlier this year, Opal Collection began introducing Fender’s luxurious Essential Collection of plant-based shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and cleansing bars as in-room amenities across the majority of its hotel and resort portfolio, extending the partnership’s wellness focus into the guestroom experience.

Tammy Fender Holistic Skin Care & Spa at Olde Naples Hotel is now open to hotel guests and the public. For treatment information and reservations, visit OpalCollection.com/olde-naples-hotel/spa.

Has the word 'holistic' lost its meaning in the beauty industry?

Has the word ‘holistic’ lost its meaning in the beauty industry?

The term “holistic” is widely used across beauty, spa and wellness, but many therapists argue it has become diluted through overuse in marketing. Kathy Scott explores what holistic beauty really means, how the definition has evolved and whether the industry risks losing the term’s original significance.

In beauty and wellness, “holistic” has become one of the most overused words in the room. That is not entirely a bad thing, as it reflects a shift in client thinking.

People are asking better questions and looking beyond quick fixes, showing more interest in sleep, stress, nutrition, hormones and long-term skin health rather than just surface-level results.

The issue is that as “holistic” has become more marketable, it has also become more vague. It is now used to describe a wide range of services and philosophies, many of which differ significantly in training and depth of practice.

When one word is stretched to cover everything, the public loses clarity and practitioners lose distinction.

I say this as someone who identifies as a holistic skin practitioner. My background includes homeopathy, massage, reflexology, beauty and skin, and I came to that title because no single label captured the way I work. My practice sits at the meeting point of beauty and complementary therapy.

What does holistic practice really mean?

Holistic practice goes beyond adding a few wellness questions to a consultation form. It involves working with the whole person rather than focusing only on the visible symptom.

Skin is influenced by far more than products and procedures, and factors such as lifestyle, stress, emotional wellbeing, habits and daily rhythms all play a role.

But for me, genuine holistic practice extends even further. Alongside the physical and emotional aspects, there may also be an energetic or spiritual dimension.

These areas are harder to measure and do not sit neatly within a conventional clinical model, but they are part of many traditional holistic disciplines.

For those trained in that way, this is an integral part of the work. Not every practitioner will work at that level, and not every client will want it, which is entirely valid.

But if we are going to use the word “holistic”, it is worth recognising that, at its deepest level, it has historically meant more than symptom management with a lifestyle layer.

Why is the term ‘holistic’ being used differently across the beauty industry?

Over the past 18 months, I have paid closer attention to how the term is being used across the industry, and a few patterns have emerged.

First, “holistic” is now being used to market services that would never previously have associated themselves with that term. Second, it no longer means the same thing from one business to the next. And third, it has become a buzzword – shorthand for “we care” or “we look at lifestyle too”.

This is where the issue begins. If a clinic describes itself as holistic because it asks about sleep and stress or recommends supplements, that may reflect an effort to see the client in context but it is not enough to claim holistic practice in the fullest sense of the word.

This is not a criticism of therapists or clinic owners who are evolving their services in response to changing client demand. The industry should evolve and take greater account of the wider factors that influence skin health and wellbeing.

However, there is a difference between being holistic-informed and being a qualified holistic practitioner. One may involve expanding consultation style and knowledge of lifestyle factors, while the other is rooted in a deeper framework of training, philosophy and professional boundaries.

What is a holistic skin practitioner?

This lack of clarity matters for clients, who deserve to know what they are booking into. At present, the word “holistic” offers very little certainty.

One practitioner may be offering an integrative, whole-person approach grounded in years of complementary therapy training, while another may simply be incorporating a broader consultation style alongside a conventional treatment menu, and others using it to signal something natural or wellness-led.

Holistic practice is not defined by the questions you ask alone, but by what you are trained to recognise and hold in the client in front of you.

Physical symptoms may sit alongside emotional or deeply personal layers, and understanding how to respond, where your role begins and ends, and when to refer on requires both training and experience.

Why training and regulation matter in holistic beauty

This is also why education and regulation matter. Too many short, poorly regulated courses promise professional identity without delivering professional depth.

When complex modalities are condensed into a weekend certificate and sent straight into the marketplace, the public is left to assume that all qualifications are equal, which is not the case.

Practitioners who have invested years in study, practice, supervision and continuing professional development are right to question the impact this has on the credibility of their field.

If we are serious about standards in advanced aesthetics, we should apply the same level of seriousness to holistic practice. Regulation, transparency and training quality should not matter only when a treatment involves a needle.

They also matter when a practitioner is working with vulnerability, trust, health narratives and the broader wellbeing of the person in front of them.

Is holistic beauty evidence-based?

I also believe we need to challenge the assumption that holistic means soft, vague or less effective. Done well, holistic skin practice can deliver significant and lasting change.

It simply works from a broader understanding of the person and often from a different philosophy of care.

It asks not only what needs to be treated, but what needs to be understood. It respects the process as well as the outcome. And for those of us who work this way, that is not a weakness.

This is not about ownership of a word, but about responsibility in how it is used.

Has the word ‘holistic’ lost its meaning?

If “holistic” is to remain meaningful, the industry needs to be more precise about what it describes.

Clearer distinctions are needed between holistic-inspired branding, holistic-informed consultations and fully qualified holistic practice, and the training behind the title should be recognised and respected.

If every business can call itself holistic, regardless of depth or training, the word risks losing its meaning entirely.

Beauty industry leaders unite to champion more holistic approach to skincare, wellness

Beauty industry leaders unite to champion more holistic approach to skincare, wellness

MANILA, Philippines — A new collaboration between leading players in the beauty and wellness industry is generating discussion across the sector by challenging the traditional divide between oral supplementation and topical skincare.

Bringing together expertise from both categories, the initiative promotes a more integrated approach to beauty — one that recognizes the complementary role of internal wellness and external skin care in achieving overall skin health.

The campaign is spearheaded by two influential female entrepreneurs, Maureen Estrada of Nuwhite (Oxina Nutricosmetics) and Glenda “Miss Glenda” Victorio of Brilliant Skin Essentials, who have each built strong reputations within their respective segments of the beauty market. Their collaboration reflects a growing industry shift toward solutions that address beauty from multiple dimensions rather than relying on a single approach.

At the center of the initiative is the idea that wellness and skincare are not competing categories, but complementary elements of a broader self-care routine. By encouraging consumers to consider both internal support and external care, the partnership seeks to spark conversations around more comprehensive and balanced beauty practices.

This strategic alignment represents a disruptive shift in how beauty icons engage with their audiences. Rather than maintaining the status quo, Estrada and Miss Glenda are using this campaign to address the disconnect between cellular-level wellness and surface-level repair.

By merging Nuwhite’s focus on authentic and transparent product development with the massive retail energy of Brilliant Skin Essentials, the collaboration presents a unified front that forces a re-evaluation of current beauty regimens, positioning any single-track routine as an incomplete measure.

The TikTok 6.6 Bonggang Birthday Sale collaboration will feature exclusive content, livestream appearances, and special promotions designed to engage beauty enthusiasts and digital audiences nationwide. Fans can also expect high-impact moments that showcase the chemistry and shared values between Nuwhite and Miss Glenda.

“This collaboration is about bringing together strong brands and even stronger women who inspire confidence and positivity,” shared Maureen Estrada, CEO and Founder of Nuwhite. “Working with Miss Glenda allows us to create something fresh, meaningful, and culturally relevant for today’s generation.”

Skincare enthusiasts may view this as a bold movement, particularly as these two powerhouses have previously competed within the same market categories. However, this strategic campaign is designed to demonstrate the power of synergy over competition.

By combining the high-absorption innovation of Nuwhite with the market mastery of Brilliant Skin Essentials, the initiative provides a professional-grade conceptual alternative to the fragmented and often contradictory routines that currently dominate the local market.

Throughout this campaign, beauty enthusiasts can expect a series of initiatives that showcase the impact of this “Inside-Out” philosophy. The partnership serves as a definitive argument that true results are best achieved when internal antioxidant support and external skin repair are utilized together.

As this initiative unfolds, the alignment between Nuwhite and Brilliant Skin Essentials stands as a provocative reminder that the most effective beauty solutions often come from the most unexpected alliances.

Today, Nuwhite continues to lead the beauty and wellness industry, proudly carrying its legacy as the first brand to introduce 200mg S-Acetyl Glutathione in the Philippines. As the industry evolves, Nuwhite remains committed to setting higher standards through innovation, premium quality, and a growing community that empowers confidence and self-care.

Nuwhite products are available nationwide at Watsons and online through www.nuwhite.com.ph, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.

The Holistic Path to Wellness: Fitness, Self-Care, and Living Well

The Holistic Path to Wellness: Fitness, Self-Care, and Living Well

There’s something about feeling good that’s hard to pin down. Not just physically, but across the board. Your energy levels out, decisions get easier, small problems don’t snowball. Most people experience this in fragments, maybe a good stretch of days here and there. Then it falls apart. The issue isn’t usually motivation or willpower. It’s thinking about health as separate checkboxes instead of seeing how everything connects. Better physical fitness often brings mental clarity along with it. Managing stress properly makes gym routines easier to maintain. Once you recognize these links instead of treating each area in isolation, wellness becomes less about nailing perfection and more about finding what genuinely works. Here’s how fitness, self-care, and mindset fit together into something sustainable.

Understanding Holistic Wellness

When stress hits, shoulders tense up. This happens to everyone, even when they don’t realize it. Poor sleep destroys your patience. Skip a meal and suddenly working out feels like climbing a mountain. These things aren’t separate problems needing different fixes. They’re linked in ways that become clear once you pay attention. Taking a whole-person approach means noticing these connections. Good sleep does more than provide rest. It sharpens decision-making, stabilizes moods, and influences weight management. Exercise goes beyond building fitness. It burns through stress hormones, sharpens focus. Relationships affect measurable health outcomes. Stop trying to fix each issue separately. Make choices that support multiple areas simultaneously. Small shifts build on each other because everything influences the rest.

Building a Strong Foundation Through Fitness

Moving regularly does more than tone muscles or drop weight. It generates energy reserves for daily demands, keeps emotional responses steadier, builds resilience for handling pressure. But here’s what really matters. The program you actually do consistently beats the theoretically optimal one you abandon after three weeks. A solid foundation typically needs:

  • Strength training for muscle maintenance and bone health
  • Cardiovascular exercise for heart function and endurance
  • Flexibility work to preserve range of motion
  • Recovery time for your body to adapt and rebuild

Showing up three times a week that you can actually maintain beats planning five sessions that end up overwhelming you. Location plays a surprisingly big role here. When your workout spot fits conveniently into your routine, excuses start to disappear. Choosing a local gym like Lane Cove gym, or any gym near your home or office, removes that “it’s too far” barrier that kills most good intentions before they even start. How far you travel to exercise often determines whether it becomes a lasting habit or just another item on your to-do list.

Self-Care Beyond the Basics

Actual self-care doesn’t photograph well. Sleep matters more than expensive skincare. Eating balanced meals without making it a whole moral thing beats rigid diet rules. Handling stress before you hit the wall means using your vacation days and declining requests that drain you dry. Sleep influences immune response, cognitive sharpness, conflict management, and countless other functions. You can’t supplement or hack your way around needing proper rest. Nutrition shouldn’t be complicated. Focus on whole foods most days, get adequate protein, stay hydrated, stop treating carbs like the enemy. The anxiety around eating perfectly probably damages you more than flexible eating ever would. Setting boundaries qualifies as self-care. Protecting your time and energy isn’t selfishness. It’s maintenance so you have something left for what matters.

Confidence, Intimacy, and Personal Wellbeing

Confidence and intimacy rarely show up in wellness articles, even though they clearly impact overall health. How you feel about yourself shapes everything else in your life. Real confidence isn’t fearlessness. It’s having stable enough self-worth that other people’s opinions don’t constantly dictate your choices or sense of value. That foundation shifts how you handle boundaries, take risks, build connections with others. Sexual wellness deserves space in these conversations too, partnered or not. It links to stress relief, body confidence, and general life satisfaction. Getting educated about this dimension of health is practical, not indulgent. Resources like Pleasure Chest provide actual education and quality products that help people explore this aspect of wellbeing with real information instead of fumbling around in the dark. Including intimacy in wellness discussions treats it like the legitimate health component it is instead of something separate or shameful.

Creating Healthy Habits That Stick

Why do most wellness programs crash and burn? They demand massive changes immediately. Overhaul everything on Monday, maintain crushing intensity forever, then feel like garbage when regular life makes that laughably impossible. Change that actually sticks works differently.

Want better hydration? Fill one glass every morning before touching your phone. Need more activity? Walk for ten minutes after lunch. These seem pointlessly small. That’s precisely why they succeed. No heroic willpower required. No perfect conditions needed. Once they run on autopilot, you can stack more on top. Setting realistic goals requires brutal honesty about current capacity. Stressful season? Maybe just maintaining what you’re already doing is enough without adding new pressures. Haven’t exercised in years? Start with walks, not bootcamp classes. Consistency crushes perfection every time. You’ll miss days. Everyone does. What matters is returning to your patterns without the guilt spiral.

Mindset: The Missing Link in Wellness

Someone can nail every physical aspect and still feel miserable if their self-talk is vicious. Mindset isn’t forced positivity or pretending everything’s fine. It’s how you treat yourself when things get rough. Relying on motivation means you only take care of yourself when you feel inspired, which definitely won’t be during the times you need it most. Building systems that function without motivation keeps progress moving through hard patches. Routines that work regardless of your mood create actual stability. Resilience builds through practice, through dealing with challenges and proving to yourself you can handle difficult situations. It’s not about being bulletproof. Research backs this up consistently. Self-compassion produces better outcomes than self-criticism for creating change. People who respond to setbacks with kindness improve more than those who tear themselves apart. Harsh inner dialogue doesn’t motivate improvement. It creates misery, which usually leads straight to quitting. Chasing progress instead of perfection lets you actually move forward instead of staying frozen.

Designing a Lifestyle That Supports Living Well

Wellness can’t exist in a vacuum separate from actual life. Job demands, relationships, finances, family obligations, your current life phase, all of this determines what’s genuinely doable. The goal isn’t cramming your life into some perfect wellness blueprint. It’s building practices that work within real constraints and limitations.

Balance keeps shifting based on what’s happening:

  • High pressure work stretches might mean abbreviated workouts and basic meal prep
  • Raising kids might transform fitness into active playtime and self-care into stolen moments
  • Health struggles or loss might reduce everything to basic functioning, and that’s perfectly valid

Work, relationships, rest, recreation all need breathing room. When one dominates too long, the others deteriorate. They don’t need equal distribution, but each requires minimum attention to keep things from collapsing. Your methods need evolution. What worked at 25 probably needs adjustment at 45. What was doable before major life shifts likely needs modification after. Willingness to adapt your approach enables long-term sustainability instead of rigid attachment to outdated methods.

Making Wellness Last

Holistic wellness isn’t a finish line you cross. It’s continuous attention to what’s needed and actually responding to it. Fitness that energizes instead of depletes. Self-care that genuinely supports function. Mindset that permits being human with all the messiness that includes. These elements working in concert instead of battling each other makes the real difference. No universal formula exists because everyone faces different circumstances, obstacles, priorities. Starting from your actual current position matters more than starting from where you imagine you should be. Building gradually gives changes time to root properly. Adjusting as circumstances shift keeps everything relevant to your life. Sustainable wellness isn’t flawless execution. It’s consistently doing enough of what actually works within the messy reality of daily life. That’s what living well looks like in practice, and it’s far more accessible than most wellness marketing wants you to believe.

The expansion of the holistic wellness industry has brought with it an unprecedented amount of consumer choice, making reliable advice more essential than ever. A report from the Global Wellness Institute found that the wellness market surpassed $5.6 trillion worldwide in 2023, with holistic health representing one of its fastest-growing segments. The report also noted that consumers increasingly seek clarity and expert-backed information to help them navigate products and practices safely. TheWellnessVerse has been developed with this need for guidance at its core, aiming to support visitors in making thoughtful and informed decisions about their well-being.

The new website offers detailed editorial content exploring established and emerging trends in holistic wellness, with a focus on mindful self-care, anti-aging longevity, and evidence-informed practices. By providing context, comparative information, and balanced perspectives, the platform seeks to counter misinformation and superficial wellness messaging. Topics include meditation and movement practices, nutrition approaches, skincare science, and travel experiences that promote restorative health. The curated selection of products featured throughout the site is chosen to complement this content, with each item assessed according to quality, craftsmanship, and alignment with holistic principles.

TheWellnessVerse also highlights approaches that integrate emotional and mental resilience into daily routines, emphasizing that long-term wellness extends beyond aesthetics and physical health. Its content encourages reflection, sustainable habits, and a meaningful connection between lifestyle choices and overall vitality. While the site presents luxury-focused options, its editorial perspective underscores the importance of intentional decision-making rather than consumption for its own sake.

By sharing well-researched guidance and a refined selection of offerings, TheWellnessVerse aims to establish itself as a trusted source for individuals exploring the intersection of holistic wellness and longevity. The launch marks a significant step in providing a comprehensive resource that prioritizes clarity, balance, and education. The platform invites readers to explore its growing collection of luxurious content as it develops its role within the wellness industry. For more information, visit https://thewellnessverse.com/
