Inside Bon Charge’s bet on the booming beauty tech market

Inside Bon Charge’s bet on the booming beauty tech market

What began with a pair of blue-light-blocking glasses has evolved into a broader wellness technology business with red light at its centre. Bon Charge co-founder Katie Mant speaks to Retail Beauty about building a category before consumers understood it, knowing when to rebrand and why the next phase of beauty tech will be won on evidence rather than hype.

When Katie and Andy Mant launched their business from Perth in 2017, the beauty technology landscape looked very different.

LED face masks had yet to become a regular fixture across beauty feeds and bathroom cabinets, wellness technology remained relatively niche, and the business that would eventually become Bon Charge was focused on a considerably narrower proposition: blue-light-blocking glasses.

Originally launched as BLUblox, the company was born from the founders’ own search for a solution to the amount of artificial light accompanying increasingly screen-heavy lifestyles.

“Andy and I were both fighting our own sleep problems, Andy especially, working long hours on screens late into the night,” Katie Mant tells Retail Beauty.

“When we went looking for blue-light glasses that actually blocked the right wavelengths and didn’t look like gaming goggles, they didn’t exist. So, we made them.”

What followed offers a case study in building a business around an emerging consumer behaviour — and then recognising when the category has moved beyond the proposition that first established it.

“The early years taught us that building a new category is really about education,” Mant says. “You can’t sell the solution until people understand the problem.”

Today, the proposition extends well beyond the blue-light glasses that launched the business. Bon Charge operates across red light therapy, PEMF and circadian lighting, positioning itself at the increasingly blurred intersection of beauty, recovery, performance and longevity.

That breadth also reflects the founders’ complementary perspectives. Andy Mant has become closely associated with the performance optimisation and biohacking side of the business, while Katie brings a stronger focus on women’s wellness and beauty — a combination that has helped Bon Charge broaden its relevance as wellness technology moves further into everyday consumer routines.

From niche technology to beauty routine

Red light therapy has become one of the most visible parts of the at-home beauty-device market, helped by the proliferation of LED masks and growing consumer interest in treatments that sit somewhere between skincare, beauty technology and professional aesthetics.

There is legitimate scientific research behind photobiomodulation, although the evidence should not be interpreted as meaning every device or every marketing claim is equally supported.

Clinical research has found benefits from particular LED protocols for aspects of skin appearance. A randomised controlled trial involving 137 women, for example, found both 660nm red light and 590nm amber light reduced periocular wrinkle volume following 10 sessions over four weeks. Earlier randomised research has also reported improvements in wrinkles using 660nm LEDs. (PubMed)

The important distinction for retailers is that wavelength, dose, treatment protocol and device specifications matter. Photobiomodulation is a defined light-based technology rather than a catch-all term for anything emitting red light; the US Food and Drug Administration describes PBM devices as delivering non-heating light energy and has specific regulatory guidance covering medical devices in the category. (US Food and Drug Administration)

For Bon Charge, that shift from curiosity to scrutiny is becoming commercially significant.

The company’s Global Wellness Tech Trend Report 2026, based on a survey of 7,000 adults across Australia, the US, UK and UAE, found 34 per cent of respondents reported using red light therapy, while 86 per cent of red-light users surveyed said they had started within the previous two years.

Beauty is playing a significant role in that uptake. According to the brand’s research, improving the appearance of dull or tired-looking skin was the most commonly cited primary motivation for using red light therapy, at 27 per cent. The report also found adults under 35 were leading adoption across the wellness technology categories it surveyed.

For Mant, however, the change in consumer behaviour is unmistakable.

“Consumers have shifted from ‘what does this claim’ to ‘what can this prove’,” she says. “They want efficacy and evidence, not just aspiration.”

The rebrand that unlocked the next stage

By 2022, the business had another problem: the name that helped establish it was beginning to restrict it.

BLUblox described a company built around blue-light management. By then, its portfolio had expanded into red light, infrared and other wellness technologies.

The founders made the decision to retire BLUblox and relaunch as Bon Charge.

“BLUblox captured where we started, but not where we’d transformed into,” Mant says.

“The name spoke only to blue light blocking, while the business had grown into something far broader. Bon Charge gave us room to reflect that fuller picture, red light at the core, and a mission bigger than any single product.”

For beauty founders, Mant believes there is a broader lesson in recognising when brand equity has started to become brand constraint.

“When your name starts explaining less than your product does, it’s a sign you’ve outgrown it,” she says.

Beauty tech’s credibility problem

The expansion of at-home beauty devices has created opportunity, but it has also made the category considerably more difficult to navigate.

LED masks now sit across dramatically different price points and specifications, while terms such as “clinically proven”, “science-backed” and “medical grade” have become powerful marketing currency.

Mant argues the next stage of the market will require consumers — and the retailers curating products for them — to look beyond those descriptors.

“Ask for the specifics,” she says. “Credible brands publish their wavelengths and irradiance and can point to independent research.

“Be cautious of vague claims, missing numbers, and ‘clinically proven’ with nothing behind it. Third-party testing, transparency about what a device does and doesn’t do, and honesty about limitations are the real tells.”

It is an increasingly relevant distinction.

Scientific evidence supporting a particular wavelength or photobiomodulation protocol does not automatically substantiate the performance claims of every commercial device using similar technology. Device design, irradiance, dose, treatment time and intended use can all influence outcomes.

Bon Charge has responded to that credibility challenge by assembling a Scientific Advisory Board spanning medicine, metabolism, dentistry and wellness. Its current board includes Dr Rangan Chatterjee, metabolism researcher Dr Susanna Søberg and Dr Shabana Daya, a physician whose qualifications include a diploma in clinical dermatology.

Mant says that scrutiny is intentional.

“They guide our product innovation, validate our technology, and keep us honest about what the evidence supports and what it doesn’t.”

Building beyond beauty

Perhaps the more interesting development for retailers is that Bon Charge no longer sees red light as belonging exclusively to beauty.

The brand is positioning the technology across beauty, wellness and recovery — categories that were once merchandised and marketed relatively independently but increasingly overlap in the consumer’s routine.

That strategy has extended into sport. In February, Premier League club Fulham FC announced Bon Charge as its Official Red Light and Recovery Partner, integrating the brand’s technology into its recovery environment. (Fulham FC)

For Mant, that crossover reflects a wider change in how consumers think about wellness technology.

“Previously, the focus was solely around beauty and skin appearance,” she says. “Now, we are noticing a notable interest from a recovery perspective and this is only growing.”

The move also broadens the addressable consumer beyond the traditional beauty-device shopper.

Bon Charge’s 2026 research found men and younger adults were among the groups driving wellness-tech adoption, challenging assumptions about who is buying into a category that, at least at retail, can often be presented through a predominantly female beauty lens.

The founder lesson: scale exposes the cracks

As the business expanded internationally, Mant says some of its biggest lessons had relatively little to do with marketing.

“The biggest lesson was to earn one market before chasing many,” she says.

“What surprised us most was how much of international growth comes down to the unglamorous work — logistics and compliance are far harder than building the product, and every country has its own rules for wellness devices.”

Her advice for Australian beauty and wellness founders contemplating international expansion is similarly pragmatic.

“The two things I’d tell any founder to get genuinely sorted before you scale are your science and your supply chain because growth doesn’t fix your weak points, it magnifies them,” she says.

“Every gap we hadn’t closed came back to find us the moment volume picked up.”

There was another lesson: global expansion did not require disguising the brand’s Australian roots.

“Early on you assume you need to sound bigger, more polished and more ‘global’,” Mant says. “The opposite was true as being a credible, no-nonsense Australian founded brand has been one of our greatest assets.

“Lead with what makes you different, not what makes you blend in.”

Where beauty retail goes next

Bon Charge’s trajectory reflects a bigger shift underway across beauty retail.

The line separating skincare, devices, wellness and performance is becoming less distinct. At the same time, consumers have access to more scientific information — and considerably more marketing dressed up as science — than ever before.

That makes curation increasingly important.

For retailers, the opportunity may therefore be less about simply adding another LED mask to the assortment and more about helping consumers understand why devices differ, what specifications matter and what the available evidence can — and cannot — establish.

Mant believes the brands capable of answering those questions will have an advantage.

“This generation treats wellness as daily and preventative, not an occasional treat or a fix when something’s wrong,” she says.

“They blend beauty, health and performance into a single routine, and they research relentlessly. They’ll reward retailers who curate for credibility and take the time to educate, and they’ll walk away from anyone who overpromises.”

That principle is also shaping Bon Charge’s next chapter.

Rather than expanding indiscriminately across the rapidly growing wellness-device market, Mant says the company intends to concentrate on its core categories and deepen its investment in evidence.

“What’s next for us is really about depth over breadth,” she says. “Rather than chasing every new device or trend, we want to keep raising the bar on evidence.”

For a company that began by having to explain why its category existed at all, it marks a notable shift.

The challenge is no longer convincing consumers to pay attention to wellness technology.

It is convincing an increasingly informed consumer which technology deserves their trust.

More than skin deep, skincare bonds well with this often quoted saying "being in love makes you more beautiful."

How Skincare Improves Your Confidence and Personality

Skincare is more than a surface-level practice; it is a structured discipline that directly influences how individuals feel about themselves and how they present their personality to the world.

Skincare is often perceived as a routine of cleansing, moisturising, and protecting the skin, but its impact extends far beyond physical appearance. It plays a profound role in shaping self-confidence and nurturing personality development. Psychologically it helps enhance the feel-good factor. When individuals invest time and effort into caring for their skin, they are not merely enhancing their looks; they are cultivating self-respect, discipline, and a positive outlook that radiates into every aspect of life.

According to Researcher Maryam Amraei, in her Thesis for Bachelor of Beauty and Cosmetics, Novia (UAS) “The relationship between skincare and self-confidence is relevant, because skincare can increase a person’s sense of self-worth and quality of life. When people feel good in their own skin, they are more likely to show more confidence in their everyday connections.”

So, healthy skin is closely tagged to self-esteem. Clear, glowing skin often reduces feelings of self-consciousness and allows individuals to present themselves with assurance in social and professional settings. People who struggle with skin concerns such as acne, pigmentation, or dryness may experience insecurity, but consistent skincare helps alleviate these issues, leading to visible improvements. This transformation fosters a sense of accomplishment and pride, reinforcing the belief that one has control over their well-being. Confidence born from such progress is not superficial; it is skin deep rooted in the realisation that self-care yields tangible results.

Moreover, skincare routines instil discipline and mindfulness. The act of dedicating time daily to cleanse, hydrate, and protect the skin becomes a ritual of self-love that craves for more Likes! This discipline often extends into other areas of life, encouraging healthier habits such as balanced nutrition, adequate hydration, and stress management. In this way, skincare becomes a gateway to holistic wellness, shaping a personality that values consistency, patience, and responsibility. These traits are admired in both personal and professional spheres, making individuals more reliable and appealing.

Skincare also enhances one’s social presence. With the recent social media boom, looking good with glowing skin is rapidly gaining currency. When people feel good about their appearance, they are more likely to engage confidently in conversations, presentations, and interactions. This confidence translates into stronger communication skills and a more approachable demeanour. A person who radiates self-assurance through healthy skin often leaves a lasting impression, as his personality appears vibrant and well-rounded. In essence, skincare helps bridge the gap between inner self-worth and outward expression, allowing individuals to project authenticity and charisma.

Another important aspect is that skincare nurtures emotional well-being. The Art of applying creams, masks, or serums can be therapeutic, offering moments of relaxation amidst daily stress. This self-care ritual reinforces the importance of wellbeing. A calm and composed mind naturally reflects in personality. Thus, skincare is not just about external beauty but about cultivating inner peace that shines through in interactions with others. A word of caution. Overemphasis on portrayal of “Cosmetic Beauty” can drift and make a person stubborn and create a class-conscious society.

But, from a broader perspective, skincare symbolises respect for oneself. When individuals take pride in their appearance, they signal to the world that they value their identity. This love often inspires others, creating a ripple effect of positivity. A well-groomed personality, supported by healthy skin, conveys professionalism, attentiveness, and confidence.

Traits in Skincare

Cleansing routine: Washing away impurities twice a day is not just about hygiene; it reflects consistency and responsibility.
Personality impact: This habit builds discipline, showing that the individual values order and structure.
Moisturising routine: Hydrating the skin daily is an act of self-care that symbolises love toward oneself.
Personality impact: It fosters emotional well-being, making individuals more empathetic and balanced in their interactions.
Sunscreen application: Protecting the skin from harmful UV rays demonstrates care and responsibility.
Personality impact: This habit reflects long-term planning; a trait admired in leadership and decision-making roles.
Relaxing routines: Taking time for soothing rituals like aromatherapy or gentle massages reduces stress.
Personality impact: This enhances confidence, as a calm mind naturally projects assurance and positivity in social settings.

The Big Picture

When these routines are practiced consistently, they do more than improve skin health. Skincare becomes a bridge between physical well-being and psychological strength, allowing one’s personality to flourish in both private and public spheres. At the end of the day, more than skin deep, skincare bonds well with this often quoted saying “being in love makes you more beautiful” or best described by a Turkish idiom “Aşk insanı güzelleştirir” meaning “love makes a person beautiful”.

The Daily Herald – Beauty, Wellness & Everyday Essentials

Discovering Super U Saint-Martin

Shopping in Saint-Martin often means finding a balance between convenience, variety, and products suited to island life. From fresh produce and everyday groceries to beauty, personal care, household essentials, and wellness products, Super U Saint-Martin brings a broad selection together in two convenient locations.

With stores at Howell Center in Galisbay and Hope Estate, Super U serves customers across two important commercial areas of the French side of the island. While each location has its own neighbourhood convenience, the two stores share the same goal: Making it easier for customers to find what they need, whether they are shopping for their household, preparing for a day at the spa, replenishing a salon’s supplies, or simply taking a little time for themselves.

BEAUTY BEYOND THE BASICS

Beauty and personal care are an important part of the Super U selection, with products designed to accommodate a wide range of everyday routines. Customers can find everything from face- and body-care to hair products, personal hygiene, makeup, shaving, hair removal, and beauty accessories.

The range includes shampoos and other haircare products, face masks, moisturizers, shower- and bath-products, hair colour, makeup, and specialized hair care. Men’s grooming products are also part of the selection, reflecting the increasingly broad definition of today’s beauty and personal-care routines.

For customers, this means that a visit to the beauty aisle can be about much more than replacing a bottle of shampoo or picking up a daily hygiene essential. It can also be an opportunity to discover products that help build a more personalized skincare, haircare, or wellness routine.

Among the selection are Super U’s own U and U Bio ranges, which are available in several hygiene, skincare, and wellness categories. These products provide additional choice alongside the many other brands found throughout the stores.

CREATING A SPA EXPERIENCE AT HOME

Wellness doesn’t always require an appointment or a trip to a professional spa. With a few simple products, customers can create a relaxing beauty ritual at home. A face mask followed by a moisturizer can become a simple evening skincare routine. Hair treatments can provide a little extra care after a long week. Bath and shower products can transform an ordinary part of the day into a more relaxing experience.

Face, body, and haircare products are particularly useful for creating these at-home rituals, and the availability of U and U Bio products across several categories gives shoppers additional options to explore. The idea is simple: Wellness can be incorporated into everyday life through small, accessible routines. Whether that means taking a few extra minutes for skincare, caring for dry hair, enjoying a refreshing shower, or simply choosing products that make a daily routine feel more enjoyable, Super U’s beauty selection provides plenty of possibilities.

Super U’s special Beauty promotion runs from Tuesday, September 22, through Saturday, October 3.

The promotion will feature offers across a broad range of categories, including the following:

  • Facial and body care
  • Hair care
  • Hair colour
  • Personal care
  • Makeup
  • Men’s grooming

The event is positioned as Super U’s major beauty highlight for the beginning of the new season. For regular customers, it offers an opportunity to restock familiar favourites, while those looking to try something new can explore a wider selection of beauty and personal-care products. For salon and spa professionals, promotional periods can also be useful opportunities to review everyday supplies and replenish products that are regularly used behind the scenes.

FRESH FOOD MEETS EVERYDAY WELLNESS

Beauty and wellness extend beyond the bathroom cabinet. Nutrition and hydration are also important components of feeling good, and Super U’s fresh-produce departments provide plenty of ingredients that can become part of a healthy daily routine. Customers will find a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, including citrus fruits, cucumbers, mint, herbs, and other seasonal and everyday produce.

These ingredients can be incorporated into simple wellness habits without requiring elaborate preparation. Citrus and mint can be added to water for a refreshing infused drink, while cucumbers and fresh herbs can become part of salads or light meals. Fresh fruits can also provide an easy snack or ingredient for juices and smoothies.

For professionals running a spa or salon, fresh produce can also be convenient when stocking refreshments for staff or clients. A single shopping trip can cover groceries, beverages, cleaning products, hygiene supplies, and other necessities.

A PRACTICAL RESOURCE FOR SALONS AND SPAS

Super U is not a specialized professional wholesaler, but its broad selection can nevertheless be useful to salon and spa owners who need to replenish everyday operational supplies. Many products are available in multipacks, large formats, or family-size packages, making them practical for businesses that regularly go through cleaning, hygiene, laundry, paper, and other consumable products. For example, a professional might combine a beauty-related purchase with essential business supplies such as laundry detergent, cleaning products, paper goods, hygiene products, beverages, and food.

This is particularly relevant for smaller salons, independent professionals, spas, and businesses that may not want to make separate trips to multiple stores for basic operational necessities. The advantage is convenience: Rather than treating professional supplies and personal shopping as two completely separate errands, business owners can address several categories during one visit.

THE ESSENTIALS BEHIND THE SCENES

The products that keep a salon or spa operating smoothly aren’t always the most glamorous ones. Yet hand hygiene products, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and linen-care products are essential to everyday operations. Super U carries many of these practical necessities.

For a salon or spa, these products can be particularly important between appointments. Clean towels and linens need to be washed. Workspaces need to be maintained. Bathrooms need to be stocked. Waste needs to be managed. Hands and surfaces need to remain clean throughout the working day. These are small details, but together they contribute to the smooth running of a professional environment. The ability to pick up these supplies alongside groceries, beverages, fresh produce, and personal-care products adds another layer of convenience for business owners.

TWO LOCATIONS, ONE CONVENIENT SELECTION

Super U’s two Saint-Martin stores are complementary in terms of location. Super U Howell Center is located in Galisbay, close to Marigot, while Super U Hope Estate is situated in one of the French side’s principal commercial areas. Having two locations allows Super U to remain accessible to customers in different parts of the island.

Both stores offer a comprehensive selection covering groceries, fresh produce, beauty, personal care, household cleaning products, and home goods. For residents, that means everyday shopping close to home. For visitors, it provides an accessible place to pick up essentials during their stay. And for local businesses, the two locations offer additional flexibility when an unexpected restock is needed. Both stores are open Monday through Saturday from 8:00am to 8:00pm, with Sunday hours from 8:00am to 12:45pm.

BEAUTY NEEDS IN THE SAINT-MARTIN CLIMATE

Saint-Martin’s climate also influences the way people approach personal care. Unlike destinations with sharply defined beauty seasons, certain needs remain relevant throughout much of the year. Skin hydration, hair care, and sun protection can all remain important regardless of the calendar. Rather than being driven exclusively by seasonal changes, purchasing patterns can therefore be influenced by promotions, personal routines, and the need to replenish products.

This makes the upcoming Beauty promotion particularly timely. From September 22 through October 3, customers will have an opportunity to explore offers across numerous beauty and personal-care categories while restocking the products they use regularly.

U AND U BIO: MORE CHOICE ON THE SHELF

Among the products Super U particularly highlights are its own U and U Bio lines. Available in several areas related to hygiene, skincare, and wellness, these ranges add another option for shoppers looking for everyday products at accessible prices.

The own-brand selection sits alongside the wider range available throughout the stores, giving customers the ability to compare different products and find options that fit their individual routines and budgets. For Super U, the emphasis is on offering choice while remaining attentive to the practical needs of customers living and shopping on the island.

BENEFITS FOR REGULAR SHOPPERS

Customers who shop regularly at Super U can also take advantage of the Carte U loyalty program. Depending on the promotion, the card can provide various benefits and allow customers to earn euros that can be used toward future purchases. Additional themed promotions and special offers take place throughout the year.

For beauty shoppers, the next major opportunity is the September 22-October 3 Beauty promotion, which brings together offers across skincare, body care, haircare, makeup, men’s grooming, and other personal-care categories.

ONE STOP FOR MORE OF YOUR DAY

Perhaps the biggest appeal of Super U for both individuals and professionals is the breadth of the shopping experience. A customer might come in looking for skincare products and leave with fresh fruit, groceries, household supplies, and something for a relaxing evening at home. A salon owner might need laundry detergent and paper towels and also take the opportunity to replenish beverages, food, hygiene products, or personal-care items.

That ability to combine several errands is particularly useful in an island environment, where convenience and accessibility can make a meaningful difference to everyday life. Super U’s philosophy is straightforward: Provide a wide selection of products, adapt that selection to local needs, and make everyday shopping as convenient.

Whether you’re a resident looking after your household, a visitor searching for everyday essentials, or a salon or spa professional managing the practical demands of a business, Super U offers a broad selection across beauty, wellness, fresh food, groceries, hygiene, cleaning, and household categories. And with the Beauty Special running from September 22 through October 3, 2026, this is an especially good time for beauty and personal-care shoppers to explore what’s available.

The wait is over — meet the winners of the Vogue Beauty & Wellness Honours 2026

The wait is over — meet the winners of the Vogue Beauty & Wellness Honours 2026

The Vogue Beauty & Wellness Honours 2026 celebrates the names that made us stop, test twice and take notice. Getting to this list, however, took more than a few enthusiastic swipes of lipstick. Vogue India’s editors spent weeks testing, researching and shortlisting the year’s most compelling launches across over 25 categories spanning skincare, haircare, makeup, fragrance and wellness. The finalists were then put before an expert jury comprising Vogue India’s Head of Editorial Content Rochelle Pinto, entrepreneur and philanthropist Sara Tendulkar, actor Jacqueline Fernandez, makeup artist and educator Puneet B Saini, hair expert Hiral Bhatia, Pilates educator and founder of Radhika’s Balanced Body, Radhika Karle, and dermatologist and medical director of The Bombay Skin Clinic, Dr Batul Patel. At an in-person jury meet, they tested, debated and weighed up the nominees before settling on their favourites.

But beauty is as personal as it is expert-led, so we wanted to know what our readers thought, too. For a month, the same shortlist was opened to voting on our website, giving our audience the chance to champion the products and places that had earned a place in their own routines. The results bring both perspectives together: across all our categories, you’ll find a Jury Winner alongside a Reader’s Choice with select Editor’s Picks also spotlighted. After weeks of thorough testing, a roomful of expert deliberation and a month of readers’ voting, these are the products, innovations and spaces that rose above a very crowded field.

Jury Winner – Sulwhasoo Concentrated Ginseng Rejuvenating Cleansing Foam

A cleanser may be the quickest step in a routine, but this one made the jury pay attention. Ginseng peptides and amino acids give the formula its skincare credentials, while its ability to cleanse without leaving skin stripped is what pushed it ahead.

Oriflame SkinFest 2026: Celebrating Integrative Beauty From The Inside Out

Oriflame SkinFest 2026: Celebrating Integrative Beauty From The Inside Out

On Saturday, 18th July 2026, Oriflame Nigeria welcomed over 800 guests to Marcelina’s Place, Lagos, for the second edition of Oriflame SkinFest, a vibrant celebration of beauty, wellness, education, and community.

Centered around the theme “Integrative Beauty,” SkinFest 2026 went beyond traditional skincare conversations to explore how healthy skin is influenced by the choices we make every day from the products we use and the food we eat to the lifestyle habits we cultivate.

Bringing together skincare enthusiasts, wellness advocates, healthcare professionals, beauty experts, Brand Partners, and guests from across Nigeria, the event showcased Oriflame’s philosophy of helping people carve their unique path to wellbeing.

A Beauty Experience from the Moment Guests Arrived

Guests were welcomed into an immersive beauty experience where they explored interactive product stations featuring Oriflame‘s latest innovations and best-selling collections.

From elegant fragrances like Divine Dark Velvet and the newly launched Mister Giordani Gold Eau de Parfum and Miss Giordani Gold Eau de Parfum, to personal care favourites such as Feminelle, wellness solutions from Wellosophy, and Oriflame‘s advanced Novage+ skincare range, attendees had the opportunity to touch, test and experience the products firsthand.

One of the biggest attractions throughout the day was the Novage+ Digital Skin Diagnostic Tool, where guests received personalised skin analyses and recommendations tailored specifically to their skin concerns. Instead of relying on guesswork or social media trends, attendees left with a clearer understanding of what their skin truly needed.

The event was also attended by the management team of Oriflame Nigeria, including Nikola Baroli, Oriflame Nigeria’s Managing Director; Adesewa Okeyinka, Marketing and Sales Support Manager; Oluseyi Abiri, Operations Manager; and Oyindamola Tella, Operations Manager, who joined guests and Brand Partners in experiencing the celebration of beauty, wellness and self-care.

Setting the Tone for the Day

The official programme commenced with a welcome address from Oriflame Nigeria‘s Marketing and Sales Support Manager, Adesewa Okeyinka, who warmly welcomed guests to SkinFest 2026.

She spoke about Oriflame‘s commitment to empowering people through beauty, wellness, education, and entrepreneurship, while encouraging everyone to embrace beauty as a lifestyle rooted in healthy habits rather than unrealistic beauty standards.
Her address perfectly introduced the day’s theme Integrative Beauty where beauty is viewed as the connection between skincare, wellness, confidence, nutrition, self-care, and healthy living.

Learning the Science Behind Great Skin

The first educational sessions were led by Oriflame Top Brand Partners, who guided guests through practical skincare education while simplifying the science behind achieving healthy-looking skin.

Rather than focusing on complicated routines, they encouraged attendees to first understand their skin before choosing products.

The sessions explored the advanced skincare science behind Novage+, introducing guests to innovative technologies including Bio Lumilock, Aspatrolift, Bio Sebum Control, and Bio Collagen Pro, each designed to target different skincare concerns such as uneven skin tone, dullness, excess oil, fine lines, and loss of firmness.

Guests were also introduced to the newly launched Novage+ Proceuticals 10% Niacinamide Power Drops, learning how its powerful formulation helps improve skin texture, visibly brighten the complexion, support the skin barrier, and reduce the appearance of pores, making it a versatile addition to many skincare routines.

Throughout the sessions, one message remained clear: skincare is not about changing who you are it’s about understanding your skin and giving it the care it deserves.

Healthy Smiles Complete Healthy Living

Continuing the morning’s conversations around holistic wellness, Dr. Chidera Nyingifa, a certified dentist, took the stage to speak about an area of beauty that is often overlooked oral health.

Dr. Chidera Nyingifa delivered an insightful session on oral health, sharing practical tips for maintaining healthy teeth and gums while emphasizing the connection between oral hygiene, overall wellbeing, and confidence. She also spotlighted the Oriflame Optifresh range including the Pro White Toothpaste, Maximum Fresh Toothpaste, and Sensitive Toothpaste reinforcing the message that beauty and wellness go beyond skincare.

Discovering Oriflame’s Latest Innovations

Guests were then taken on an exciting journey through Oriflame‘s newest beauty innovations by Oriflame Product Specialist, Awa Irene.

She introduced the science, inspiration and benefits behind the latest launches, including the Novage+ Proceuticals 10% Niacinamide Power Drops, the sophisticated Mister Giordani Gold and Miss Giordani Gold Eau de Parfum, the nourishing Milk & Honey Gold Shampoo and Conditioner, the glossy The ONE Hydrating Shine Lip Gloss, the volume-enhancing The ONE WonderLash XXL Mascara, and the Optifresh oral care range.

Guests gained a deeper appreciation of the research and innovation behind each product and how they fit into a complete beauty and wellness routine.

Real Stories. Real Transformations.

One of the most inspiring moments of the day came from Rachael Udenkwo, Oriflame Face of Nigeria 2026, who shared her “Glow Up with Oriflame” journey.

She spoke candidly about embracing healthier habits and how incorporating Wellosophy Meal Replacement into her lifestyle supported her weight management journey, boosted her confidence, and encouraged her to make healthier choices every day.
Her testimony reminded guests that true transformation happens through consistency and self-care not shortcuts.

Panel Session One: Understanding Your Skin at Every Stage

The first panel discussion was moderated by Oriflame Product Specialist, Awa Irene, and featured an esteemed lineup of speakers, including Kunle Remi—award-winning actor, one of Nigeria’s most recognizable screen talents, and Oriflame Brand Ambassador; Dr. Adefunke Arowolo, a medical doctor and Health Educator; Dr. Peter Odunuyi, a Chemical Pathologist in Metabolic Medicine  and lifestyle enthusiast; and Loretta Kama, an Oriflame Top Leader.

The conversation focused on understanding the skin through different stages of life and explored how age, hormones, lifestyle, nutrition, stress, and environmental factors influence skin health. Panelists also challenged common skincare myths while encouraging attendees to choose products based on their individual skin needs rather than social media trends.

Speaking during the session, Dr. Adefunke Arowolo emphasized the importance of adapting skincare routines as the skin changes over time. She noted that “as you grow older, your skincare should grow with you,” highlighting the need for skincare to evolve with age and recommending anti-ageing solutions such as the Novage+ range to help address changing skin concerns.

Dr. Peter Odunuyi also shed light on the dangers of using harmful and unregulated skincare products, explaining how certain ingredients and practices can damage the skin barrier, trigger long-term skin concerns and compromise overall skin health. He encouraged attendees to prioritize safe, quality skincare products and make informed choices when building their skincare routines.

Kunle Remi highlighted the growing importance of skincare for men, encouraging more men to take an active interest in caring for their skin. He noted that skincare is not exclusive to women but an essential part of overall grooming, wellness and self-care for everyone.

It was an insightful conversation that helped guests better understand that great skincare starts with knowledge.

Panel Session Two: Beauty Starts from Within

The second panel session was moderated by Oriflame Commercial Planner Buhari Memunat, who was joined by Dr. Adefunke Arowolo, Dr. Peter Odunuyi, Kunle Remi, and Oriflame Top Brand Partner Iniye Emelife.

This session focused on the power of holistic wellness and the impact that everyday lifestyle choices can have on overall health, confidence, and wellbeing.

A standout moment was hearing Iniye Emelife’s inspiring wellness journey. Through consistency, healthier habits, and the support of the Oriflame Wellosophy Meal Replacement, Iniye achieved a remarkable weight-loss transformation that has positively impacted her overall health, energy levels, and quality of life. Her story served as a powerful reminder that wellness is a journey, and that caring for the body from within can lead to lasting, visible results.

The session beautifully reinforced the principle of Integrative Beauty that true confidence and radiant skin begin with a healthy body and balanced lifestyle.

A Journey of Transformation

Following the second panel discussion, Oriflame Top Leader Damilola Adeniji took to the stage to share her own “Glow Up with Oriflame” story.

She opened up about her struggles with weight management and how embracing healthier habits, alongside the support of Wellosophy Meal Replacement, helped her achieve her desired weight and build greater confidence.
Her story resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a powerful reminder that lasting transformation comes through consistency, patience, and choosing a healthier lifestyle.

Ending on a High Note

To round off the event, another exciting round of games brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of excitement to the audience.
Guests enthusiastically participated, with winners receiving Oriflame goodie bags, ending the day on a joyful and memorable note.

Thank You for Making SkinFest 2026 Unforgettable

TowerBrook Capital Partners has announced a strategic partnership with women’s wellness brand Rael, as the investment firm looks to help expand the business across channels and international markets.

Founded in 2017 by three Korean American women, Rael offers feminine care, skincare and hormonal wellness products designed to support women through different stages of life.

As part of the partnership, Rael will work with TowerBrook to expand its distribution, continue developing its product portfolio and reach more consumers globally. The companies also plan to advance education around holistic cycle care.

“We started Rael because we believed women deserved better choices in period care, and that belief led us to pioneer holistic cycle care,” said Yanghee Paik, CEO and co-founder of Rael.

“From our first conversation, TowerBrook understood the impact of our mission and believed in it as deeply as we do. Their track record of scaling founder-led brands while preserving their uniqueness makes them the ideal partner as we aim to serve more women around the world.”

Rael will continue to be led by Paik. John Replogle has also been appointed chair of the board, bringing experience from leadership roles at natural personal care and consumer brands including Burt’s Bees and Seventh Generation, as well as Unilever’s North American skincare business.

“Rael extends TowerBrook’s track record of investing behind products and services that help consumers live healthier lives and builds on the firm’s experience scaling emerging brands through periods of transformational growth,” said Michael Recht, managing director at TowerBrook.

“Rael’s products have distinct positioning in women’s wellness, and we are excited to build upon the unique trust the brand has developed with consumers.”

Rael is headquartered in Los Angeles with an office in Seoul and has built an omnichannel presence across the U.S. and South Korea. It is available in more than 40,000 retail doors across the U.S. and Korea, including Target, Walmart, Ulta Beauty, CVS and Walgreens.

Prior to this investment, Rael raised $59 million in funding since launch.

L’Occitane a Beautiful Choice for Everyday Self-Care

What Makes L’Occitane a Beautiful Choice for Everyday Self-Care?

Taking care of your skin, body, and hair is an important part of a healthy and confident lifestyle. With changing weather, dust, pollution, and daily exposure to the sun, people in Pakistan often look for beauty products that provide gentle and effective care. L’Occitane brings a nature-inspired approach to everyday beauty with a wide selection of skincare, body care, hand care, and hair care products available through its Pakistan collection.

Discover Natural Skin Care for Everyday Beauty

Choosing the right skincare routine can make a noticeable difference in how your skin looks and feels. L’Occitane offers a variety of products designed for different skincare needs, including cleansing, hydration, and nourishment. The collection includes products such as Shea Solid Face Cleanser, Shea Ultra Rich Face Cream, Shea Cleansing Milk, and Immortelle Divine skincare products.

For customers searching for natural skin care products in Pakistan, L’Occitane provides a selection inspired by botanical ingredients and traditional beauty rituals. A simple routine can include a gentle cleanser followed by a moisturizing cream to help maintain soft and comfortable skin. Consistent skincare is especially useful when your skin is exposed to dry air, heat, or environmental pollution throughout the day.

Nourishing Body Care for Soft and Comfortable Skin

Body care deserves the same attention as facial skincare. Your arms, legs, hands, and other areas can become dry because of frequent washing, changing temperatures, or a lack of moisture. Using nourishing body products regularly can help your skin feel smoother and more comfortable.

L’Occitane offers natural body care products in Pakistan that can become part of a relaxing daily routine. Its body and hand collection includes Shea Butter Hand Cream, Shea Butter Intensive Hand Balm, Almond Shower Oil, and other products created for everyday body care.

A good body care routine can begin with a gentle shower product and continue with a moisturizer after bathing. Paying special attention to dry areas such as elbows, knees, heels, and hands can help maintain a soft appearance. Hand cream can also be kept in your handbag, office, or home so that you can moisturize whenever your hands feel dry.

Complete Your Routine with Hair Care

Healthy-looking hair needs regular cleansing, conditioning, and nourishment. Heat styling, dust, pollution, and frequent washing can leave hair feeling dry or difficult to manage. Selecting suitable products according to your hair needs can help create a more consistent and enjoyable hair care routine.

For those searching for hair care products in Pakistan, L’Occitane offers a broad hair care collection featuring shampoos, conditioners, treatments, styling products, and scalp-focused solutions. The current collection includes Intensive Repair Shampoo, Almond Shampoo, Anti-Dandruff Soothing Shampoo, Volume & Strength Shampoo, and several conditioner and treatment options.

If your hair feels dry or damaged, a repairing shampoo and conditioner can become an important part of your routine. For people who prefer lightweight daily cleansing, gentle formulas may be a better choice. L’Occitane also offers solid shampoo and refill options, giving customers additional choices for their hair care routine.

Nature-Inspired Beauty for Modern Lifestyles

L’Occitane has built its beauty philosophy around the wonders of nature. The brand states that since 1976, L’Occitane en Provence has been creating beauty, skincare, and wellbeing products inspired by nature. This philosophy can be seen across its skincare, bath and body, hand care, hair care, and fragrance collections available in Pakistan.

The advantage of having different categories in one collection is that customers can create a complete beauty routine. Instead of focusing only on the face, you can care for your hands, body, scalp, and hair as well. This makes everyday self-care feel more complete and enjoyable.

Build a Simple Daily Beauty Routine

A consistent routine does not have to be complicated. Start your morning with a suitable facial cleanser and moisturizer. During the day, keep a hand cream nearby, especially if you wash your hands frequently. After a shower, use a nourishing body product to help maintain comfortable skin. For hair, choose a shampoo and conditioner according to your individual needs and use treatments when your hair requires additional care.

L’Occitane Pakistan makes it possible to explore skincare, body care, hand care, hair care, and fragrance products through its online collection. The official website also provides delivery across Pakistan on orders above the stated minimum amount.

Whether you are beginning a new skincare routine or upgrading your existing beauty collection, choosing quality, nature-inspired products can make everyday self-care more enjoyable. With its diverse range and focus on beauty and wellbeing, L’Occitane offers customers in Pakistan a way to bring a refined, nature-inspired approach to their daily skincare, body care, and hair care rituals.

Why beauty experts never ignore sleep

A consistent skincare regimen is important, but what happens overnight can be just as impactful. Sleep is when your body enters recovery mode, making uninterrupted rest an important part of many people’s broader beauty and wellness routines.

During sleep, the body supports:

  • Skin recovery and renewal

  • Reduced appearance of puffiness

  • Overall wellness and recovery processes

Why this silk sleep mask stands out in the wellness category

The wellness market is filled with sleep products, but few combine sleep support and skincare-friendly materials the way the Dore & Rose Deep Sleep Mask does.

Unlike traditional sleep masks, this design helps block light around common leakage points, including the nose area, helping create a darker sleeping environment.

Combined with premium 23 Momme Mulberry silk, it’s designed to feel luxurious while complementing an evening beauty routine.

Why do beauty-conscious shoppers prefer silk sleep masks?

While cotton and synthetic fabrics can create friction against delicate skin, high-quality silk offers a smoother surface that many shoppers prefer for overnight comfort.

Potential benefits include:

  • More luxurious feel compared with traditional fabrics

  • Smoother contact around the eye area

  • Less friction against skin

  • Reduced absorption of skincare products

Why the Dore & Rose mask called the ‘Rolex of sleep masks’

The nickname comes from its premium materials, luxury construction and attention to detail. Made from 23 Momme Mulberry silk, the mask is designed to completely block light while maintaining a comfortable, pressure-free fit.

For shoppers looking to elevate their nighttime routines, it’s become a luxury alternative to traditional sleep masks.
