The Beauty Brand That’s Giving Time Back

The Beauty Brand That’s Giving Time Back

In an era where skincare routines have turned into ten-step commitments, Terrai is asking a simple but radical question: what if beauty gave you time back instead of taking more of it?

Advertisment

Founded in 2024 by Dhruv Kumar and Kamakshi Sood, this homegrown Indian skincare brand isn’t trying to win the race for novelty. Instead, it’s carving out space for something far more precious: efficiency. Terrai’s philosophy is rooted in the reality of modern life, where long routines often feel less like self-care and more like another task on the list.

“At Terrai, we believe that skincare should simplify your life, not add to it,” says Sood. “Our products are developed to deliver potent benefits with fewer steps, giving customers time back in their day without compromising on performance.”

 Skincare, minus the overwhelm

At the heart of Terrai is a belief that effective skincare doesn’t need layers, excess, or hype. Kumar and Sood set out to build a brand that prioritises performance and transparency over trends. The goal was never to flood the market with more products, but to create formulations that do more, faster and smarter.

Advertisment

Rather than asking consumers to decode complicated regimens, Terrai’s approach is refreshingly minimal. Each product is designed to multitask, delivering multiple benefits in a single step. The result is routines that feel intuitive, not intimidating.

“Our focus has always been on creating products that work harder so people don’t have to,” adds Kumar. “Efficiency, for us, isn’t about cutting corners; it’s about thoughtful formulation.”

Where science meets simplicity

What truly sets Terrai apart is its science-first mindset. The brand leans heavily on clinical validation, choosing measurable results over exaggerated claims. Every formula is built with intent–it’s modern yet grounded in dermatological research. This focus on precision has allowed Terrai to position itself as something more than a beauty label. It sees itself as a time-saving company, one that understands the demands of contemporary life and responds with products that respect it.

 Multi-tasking, done right

Terrai’s growing portfolio reflects this philosophy clearly. Its Luminous Tinted Sunscreen, for instance, functions as protection, hydration, coverage, and primer—all in one clinically backed formula. The Aqua Radiance Sunscreen offers high protection in an ultra-light texture designed to prevent tanning without weighing skin down.

Then there’s the SPF face mist, a hybrid product that combines sun protection with long-lasting hydration and age-supporting actives, ideal for days when reapplication needs to be effortless. The newest launch, One & Done, distils Terrai’s ethos most succinctly: a multi-corrective serum created to address the most common skin concerns from a single bottle.

“One & Done was created for people who want results, not routines,” says Sood. It’s a sentiment that echoes across the brand’s entire lineup.

 A new definition of luxury

In many ways, Terrai’s restraint feels luxurious. In choosing to do less, but better, the brand reflects a shift in how beauty is being redefined. Not as an elaborate ritual, but as something that fits effortlessly into daily life.

In a crowded skincare landscape obsessed with what’s next, Terrai’s strength lies in knowing when enough is enough. And sometimes, the most indulgent thing a beauty brand can offer is time itself.

The Aussie skincare brand beauty insiders are ‘obsessed’ with (and it’s finally going mainstream)

Skincare fatigue is real. Too many steps, too many products, too many promises.

That’s exactly why ESHU Skincare feels like a breath of fresh air.

This Australian-made brand has already earned praise from Forbes, GQ and Sephora’s Top 20, but what really sets it apart is how refreshingly simple it is.

No complicated routines, no cluttered bathroom shelves, no unnecessary fluff. Just effective, science-backed skincare that works and feels good to use.

ESHU is built on a clean philosophy: thoughtful formulations, sustainable design and results you can actually see.

It’s skincare for people who want healthy skin without turning their daily routine into a full-time job.

The brand’s launch range is intentionally streamlined, focusing on two everyday essentials that cover the foundations of good skin: exfoliation and hydration.

At the heart of ESHU’s ethos is responsibility. Australians are increasingly choosing brands that care about the planet as much as performance, and ESHU delivers on both.

The formulas use sustainably sourced botanicals, biodegradable ingredients and glass refillable packaging to reduce environmental impact, without compromising results. It’s conscious skincare that doesn’t feel preachy or performative. It just works.

The range that’s changing routines:

The Exfoliator

This is not your harsh, scratchy scrub.

The exfoliator uses biodegradable Bamboo Powder, Pumice and Jojoba Beads combined with natural BHA to gently lift away dead skin and smooth texture.

Kakadu Plum, Lemon Myrtle and Quandong calm and protect the skin, making it suitable for all skin types.

It’s effective without irritation, which is exceptional for exfoliation products.

The Mousturiser

Lightweight, fast-absorbing and zero greasy finish, this daily moisturiser is designed for real life.

Formulated with Australian botanicals, Niacinamide and Polyglutamic Acid, it hydrates, soothes and strengthens the skin barrier while sitting comfortably under makeup or sunscreen.

It’s the kind of moisturiser you actually want to wear every day.

The Moisturiser Refill

Same formula, smaller footprint. Designed for ESHU’s refillable glass system, it makes sustainable skincare feel genuinely easy.

The Bundle

Includes the Exfoliator, Moisturiser, bonus moisturiser refill and free Australia-wide shipping.

Available for a limited time only and honestly one of the best-value skincare bundles on the market right now.

The reviews back it up.

One shopper wrote, “I’ve been using ESHU for a little while now, and I really appreciate how gentle yet effective the products feel on my skin. The texture is lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave any greasy or heavy feeling.”

Another shared, “Beautiful, effective skincare that truly delivers results.”

A third review summed it up perfectly: “As good as anything I have tried over the past 15 years.”

ESHU isn’t trying to overwhelm you with choice or trends.

It’s building a new standard for Australian skincare: simple routines, strong ingredients, sustainable design and products that fit into real lives.

If you’re ready to simplify your skincare without sacrificing results, this is the brand worth paying attention to.

Vira Launches as a First-of-Its-Kind South Asian, Ayurveda-Inspired Sensual Wellness Brand | Currency News | Financial and Business News

New York, United States, February 10th, 2026, FinanceWire

The clean product line bridges skincare and sex-care, reframing intimacy as an essential part of holistic self-care.

Today marks the official launch of Vira, a first-of-its-kind South Asian, Ayurveda-inspired sensual wellness brand dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace their sensuality, prioritize self-care and elevate overall well-being through thoughtfully crafted plant-based products. Launching with a line of five luxury products that bridge skincare and sex-care curated with EU-certified clean ingredients, each formula is designed to integrate physical, emotional and spiritual wellness.

Founded by Shruti Viradia, a certified Ayurvedic Health Coach and Indian American entrepreneur, Vira was conceptualized nearly five years ago, beginning with a single natural lubricant made in her own kitchen. Growing up, Shruti observed a lack of transparency and open conversation around sexual wellness within her community, a gap that inspired her to reimagine intimacy through a more inclusive, culturally rooted lens. What started as a product shared only with close friends quickly revealed a broader need for clean, holistic sensual care, ultimately becoming the foundation of Vira.

“Vira began as a deeply personal exploration of pleasure, care, and cultural identity,” says Shruti Viradia, founder of Vira. “I wanted to create products that felt safe, intentional, and rooted in tradition, while also meeting the modern need for clean, transparent sensual care. Vira is about reclaiming intimacy as an everyday act of self-care, not something that should feel shameful or hidden.”

As wellness continues to evolve beyond traditional skincare and fitness, conversations around sexual wellness still remain taboo. Vira was created to shift the narrative and offer a holistic approach that reframes intimacy as an everyday ritual of touch, embodiment and self-care – not just partner-focused moments. From hydrating oils to pH-balanced lubricants, the brand offers thoughtfully crafted products designed to nourish the skin and elevate pleasure with intention and care.

Vira’s product line includes:

  • Nectar ($44): a lightweight, multi-use body oil that hydrates, calms and repairs skin including key ingredients such as turmeric, grapeseed oil, coffee extract and more (best used as an everyday moisturizer or for sensual massage)
  • Dew ($33): a soothing multi-use body mist to refresh, balance pH and alleviate irritation including ingredients such as witch hazel and rose water (best used before and after sex or even to refresh underarms after a workout and throughout the day)
  • Ember ($36): an arousal oil designed to enhance pleasure with a gentle warming and tingling effect – similar to the feel of a lip plumper (best used before sex or during foreplay)
  • Bloom ($32): a silky play oil with a coconut oil base that doubles as a natural lubricant, massage oil and nourishing moisturizer (best used during sex or for sensual massage)
  • Monsoon ($26): an aloe-based, pH-balanced sex serum (or lubricant) for hydration and frictionless intimacy – without the sticky or greasy residue (best used during sex)

Vira’s products are available for purchase on www.virasensual.com with select items shipping out in March 2026. For more information, visit Vira’s website or @virasensual on Instagram and TikTok.

BUILDING A LUXURY SKINCARE BRAND IN INDIA: LESSONS FROM A FOUNDER

BUILDING A LUXURY SKINCARE BRAND IN INDIA: LESSONS FROM A FOUNDER

Luxury skincare often looks glamorous from the outside – beautiful packaging, premium pricing, and aspirational storytelling. But building a truly luxury skincare brand in India is far more complex than it appears. Behind the aesthetics lie years of formulation discipline, difficult trade-offs, and an unwavering focus on long-term skin health rather than short-term trends.

By Bathula Meghana, Founder, GlowBareSkin

As India’s beauty market rapidly expands, founders entering the premium skincare space are learning that luxury today is no longer defined by surface-level appeal alone. It is shaped by trust, science, and patience – qualities that are far harder to build than a visually striking brand.

By Bathula Meghana, Founder, GlowBareSkin

Why Luxury Beauty Is Harder Than It Looks

India is one of the fastest-growing skincare markets in the world, driven by a young, digitally aware consumer base. At the same time, this growth has created an intensely crowded landscape. New brands launch almost every week, many riding waves of viral ingredients, aggressive claims, and fast-turnaround formulations.

For a founder, the challenge is not launching quickly – it is choosing not to.

Luxury skincare demands restraint. It requires resisting shortcuts, avoiding formulation compromises, and accepting slower timelines. Unlike mass beauty, where speed often wins, luxury skincare is built on precision, consistency, and long-term performance. Every ingredient choice, concentration level, and formulation decision carries weight, because the end consumer expects results that go beyond immediate gratification.

The Quality vs Speed Dilemma

One of the earliest lessons in building a premium skincare brand is understanding the cost of speed. Faster product development may bring quicker market entry, but it often comes at the expense of formulation stability, ingredient synergy, and skin compatibility.

In skincare, what works instantly does not always work sustainably. High-percentage actives may deliver short-term glow, but they can also compromise the skin barrier when used repeatedly or without adequate formulation balance. Luxury brands must think beyond trends and ask a harder question: Will this product still serve the consumer’s skin six months, one year, or five years from now?

Choosing quality over speed means longer development cycles, multiple rounds of testing, and, at times, saying no to popular ingredients that do not align with long-term skin health. It is a slower path – but it is also the only one that builds credibility.

Consumer Trust in a Crowded Market

Indian skincare consumers today are more informed than ever. Ingredient lists are scrutinised, routines are compared across global markets, and brand claims are increasingly questioned. Trust is no longer built through marketing alone – it is earned through consistency and transparency.

For founders, this means recognising that trust is cumulative. One poorly thought-out product or exaggerated claim can undo years of effort. Luxury skincare brands must communicate clearly, avoid overpromising, and allow products to speak through performance rather than hype.

In a market flooded with “miracle” solutions, restraint itself becomes a signal of confidence. Brands that prioritise education over exaggeration tend to build deeper, longer-lasting relationships with their consumers.

Why Skin Health Must Come Before Hype

The rise of social media has amplified skincare trends at an unprecedented pace. Ingredients cycle in and out of popularity, often without sufficient context around suitability or long-term effects. For founders, the temptation to follow these cycles is strong – but doing so can dilute a brand’s core philosophy.

True luxury skincare is rooted in skin health. It focuses on barrier integrity, hydration balance, and ingredient compatibility rather than aggressive transformation. This approach may not always produce dramatic overnight results, but it supports resilient, healthy skin over time.

Founders who anchor their brands in skin-first thinking often discover that loyalty follows naturally. Consumers may experiment initially, but they return to products that respect their skin rather than overwhelm it.

Personal Learnings from Building GlowBareSkin

Personal Learnings from Building GlowBareSkin

Building GlowBareSkin, a luxury skincare brand from India, reinforced many of these lessons in practice. From formulation decisions to brand positioning, every step required clarity on what the brand would – and would not – stand for.

From the beginning, the focus was on developing a long-term skin health approach rather than chasing short-lived trends. This meant spending more time on ingredient sourcing, prioritising balance over intensity, and ensuring that each product aligned with a broader philosophy of skin wellbeing.

It also meant accepting that growth would be gradual, shaped by trust rather than rapid scale. Perhaps the most important learning was that luxury is not about perfection – it is about responsibility: responsibility to the consumer’s skin, to honest communication, and to building products that age well alongside the people who use them

The Global Vision for Indian Luxury Beauty

The Global Vision for Indian Luxury Beauty

Indian beauty brands are increasingly stepping onto the global stage, not by copying international models, but by redefining what premium skincare can look like from India. There is a growing opportunity for brands that blend scientific rigour with a deep understanding of diverse skin types and climates.

The future of Indian luxury skincare lies in this balance – globally informed, locally intelligent, and deeply respectful of skin biology. Brands that succeed will be those that view skincare not as a quick commercial opportunity, but as a long-term commitment to consumer wellbeing.

For founders, the journey is demanding – but deeply rewarding. Building a luxury skincare brand in India is not about chasing trends; it is about building something that lasts. And in an industry driven by trust, longevity may be the most luxurious outcome of all.

At an event held at the Century City Mall’s Events Center, the homegrown brand debuted with its initial product lineup: a lip gloss, a lip and cheek tint, and blush.

Speaking to GMA News Online, Ferca Beauty general manager Isabella Oca-Biron said that the brand’s premise is that makeup doesn’t have to be too fussy or too serious; it should be fun.

She also shared that the beauty brand is a product of Endure Medical, one of the country’s leading medical equipment suppliers.

“Ferca Beauty came like a project of Endure Medical to diversify and tap into the beauty industry,” she said.

“Coming from the medical industry, we already have credibility, and I think that’s very important because medical supplies and equipment really need to meet high standards, so we bring that [same standard of quality] to our makeup products,” she added.
