What Habits Are Worth Adopting After the Age of 30? Everyday Choices That Support Health and Wellbeing

What Habits Are Worth Adopting After the Age of 30? Everyday Choices That Support Health and Wellbeing

TURNING 30 is often a moment when many people start reflecting on their lifestyle and overall wellbeing. It does not mark a sudden turning point, but it is a time when we may begin to notice that recovery after a sleepless night takes longer, stress affects us more strongly, and our skin and body require more conscious care. Introducing a few simple habits can help support health, energy levels and appearance for years to come.

Why Is It Worth Taking Better Care of Your Body After 30?

The body is constantly changing, regardless of age. After the age of 30, natural processes may gradually occur, including changes related to metabolism, the production of certain structural proteins and the speed of tissue regeneration.

One of the important substances whose natural production decreases over time is collagen. This protein is found in the skin, cartilage, bones, tendons and ligaments. Its levels are associated with skin elasticity and the proper functioning of many structures throughout the body.

However, reaching your thirties does not mean you should focus only on ageing processes. It is a great time to build lasting foundations for a healthy lifestyle.

Regular Exercise as the Foundation of Good Fitness

Physical activity is one of the most important habits worth maintaining throughout life. It does not have to mean intense workouts every day – consistency is what matters most.

Combining different forms of movement allows you to support your body in a comprehensive way:

· strength training helps maintain muscle mass,

· walking supports everyday activity and fitness,

· mobility exercises improve range of motion,

· yoga or pilates help strengthen the body and improve flexibility.

Strong muscles provide natural support for joints, while regular movement helps maintain mobility for longer.

Sleep and Recovery – An Investment in Energy

After the age of 30, many people notice that their bodies cope less effectively with insufficient sleep. Several nights of poor rest can affect concentration, energy levels and the appearance of the skin.

It is worth supporting healthy sleep habits by:

· keeping regular sleeping and waking times,

· limiting screen use before bedtime,

· creating a relaxing environment for rest,

· avoiding excessive caffeine intake in the evening.

Recovery is just as important as physical activity – it is during rest that the body repairs itself and prepares for future challenges.

A Diet Rich in Essential Nutrients

As we get older, the quality of the food we eat becomes increasingly important. A balanced diet should provide the body with vitamins, minerals, protein and antioxidants.

A daily diet should include:

· vegetables and fruit, which provide vitamins and polyphenols,

· protein-rich foods that support muscle maintenance,

· healthy fats such as olive oil, nuts and fish,

· foods containing nutrients that contribute to normal body functions.

Certain nutrients are particularly important, including vitamin C, which contributes to normal collagen formation, as well as minerals such as magnesium and zinc.

Skincare – Fewer Products, More Consistency

After 30, the skin often requires a more mindful approach. This does not mean using a large number of cosmetic products. The most important factors are consistency and choosing products suited to your skin’s current needs.

A basic daily skincare routine should include:

· gentle cleansing,

· moisturising,

· daily use of SPF protection,

· products that support the skin’s natural processes.

UV radiation is one of the main factors contributing to visible signs of skin ageing, which is why sun protection should be part of your daily routine throughout the year.

Collagen Shots – Convenient Support for Your Daily Routine

One of the growing trends in the beauty and wellness sector is collagen shots. Their popularity comes mainly from their convenient form and the ease with which they can be incorporated into everyday habits.

Collagen shots usually contain hydrolysed collagen, a form that has been broken down into smaller peptides, which may be more easily absorbed by the body. Regular collagen supplementation is often chosen by people who want to support their skin’s condition and provide additional nutritional support as they age.

Collagen is a natural component of the skin, so supplementing it can be part of a comprehensive approach that combines diet, skincare and a healthy lifestyle.

Reducing Stress and Making Time for Yourself

Work, responsibilities and a fast-paced lifestyle mean that many people experience high levels of stress after turning 30. Long-term stress may affect sleep quality, energy levels and overall wellbeing.

Simple daily practices can help, such as:

· regular walks,

· spending time in nature,

· breathing exercises,

· meditation,

· making time for hobbies and relaxation.

Looking after your mental balance is just as important as caring for your physical health.

Regular Check-Ups and Preventive Healthcare

After the age of 30, it is also worth paying more attention to preventive healthcare. Regular check-ups help you better understand your body’s needs and respond more quickly to any changes.

This includes monitoring key health indicators and consulting a healthcare professional if any concerning symptoms appear.

Small Changes Can Bring Long-Term Benefits

You do not need to completely transform your lifestyle after turning 30. The greatest impact often comes from small, consistent actions that gradually become natural parts of everyday life. Regular exercise, a nutritious diet, sufficient sleep, skincare and conscious support for the body, including collagen shots, can help maintain good condition and energy levels for years to come.

Taking care of yourself after 30 should not be seen as a reaction to getting older, but as an investment in comfort, mobility and wellbeing every day.

8 New Body Care Essentials To Cleanse, Treat and Hydrate

From Elemis’ recent foray into bath and body to Fenty Skin’s latest scent capsule, here are the new body care essentials you’ll reach for time and time again.

Skincare this, hair care that—but how on top of your body care are you? When you’re bogged down with 10 steps in your skincare routine, it’s easy to forget to slather on body lotion. And sure, if you’re in the shower doing your hair wash routine, sometimes it’s just easier to do a quick once-over as opposed to scrubbing down every inch of your legs, arms and back. Unfortunately, all of that spells out a recipe for bacne, itchiness, and ashy skin, none of which you really want to experience yourself (we presume).

So, instead of treating your body care routine as a chore, reframe it as a self-care ritual you look forward to every day. Whether that’s incorporating stunning scents and lovely textures, or multi-tasking formulations into your everyday routine, the point is to incentivise yourself to invest more in your body. The ingredients to look for in your anti-ageing skincare, according to experts

The Independent and Yahoo will earn a commission from purchases made via links in this article. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

With so many anti-ageing creams promising smoother, firmer, more youthful-looking skin, it can be difficult to know which ingredients are actually worth looking for and which are nothing more than clever marketing.

There’s everything from retinol and peptides to antioxidants and hydrating serums, all promising to keep skin looking youthful. So, to help separate the science from the hype, I spoke to skincare experts Dr Brandon Richland, a board-certified plastic surgeon and Allyse Cirillo, Founder and CEO of SAINT JŌ.

I wanted to find out the key ingredients that can genuinely support healthier-looking skin. Whether you’re looking to soften the appearance of fine lines, improve elasticity or simply give your complexion a boost, these are the ingredients worth knowing about before you add another cream to your routine.

Read more: Best anti-ageing creams, reviewed

What are the most effective ingredients to look for in an anti-aging cream?

“A short list does most of the heavy lifting,” Dr Richland says. “Retinoids (retinol over the counter, or prescription tretinoin) are the workhorse. They speed up cell turnover and nudge your skin into building its own collagen, which is what softens fine lines and evens out tone over time,” he adds.

When choosing an anti-ageing cream, it’s not necessarily about finding one “miracle” ingredient, but rather a formula where ingredients work together to support the skin, Cirillo agrees.

Dr Richland says: “Vitamin C is your morning antioxidant. It mops up the free radicals from sun and pollution before they can do their damage, and it lends a hand with collagen while it’s at it. Niacinamide is the quiet achiever, strengthening the skin barrier and calming the redness and blotchiness a lot of people write off as just their complexion”

He also recommends peptides, which can signal the skin to produce more collagen and are often gentler than retinoids. He adds that hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides help support the skin barrier, while daily SPF remains one of the most effective ways to protect skin over time.

Which anti-ageing ingredients have the strongest scientific evidence for reducing visible signs of ageing?

When it comes to the ingredients with the strongest scientific backing for reducing visible signs of ageing, both Dr Richland and Cirillo say that retinoids remain the benchmark, thanks to the long history of research in dermatology.

“They have decades of peer-reviewed research behind them, and the collagen increase is measurable on an actual skin biopsy, not just in a flattering before-and-after under good lighting,” notes Dr Richland.

“Vitamin C, niacinamide, and the alpha hydroxy acids make up a solid second tier of well-supported actives,” he adds.

Both experts also stress that no anti-ageing ingredient beats daily SPF to prevent visible ageing caused by sun exposure.

Are any anti-ageing ingredients overhyped?

Cirillo warns that some products promising dramatic before-and-after results can sometimes rely on approaches that “strip or inflame the skin”, which may do more harm than good over time.

She also advises being cautious of “hero ingredient” claims, as well as high-strength acids or retinoids used without enough barrier support. “Effective in the right context, overused in the wrong one,” she says. Cirillo adds that terms like “clean” should also be treated carefully, as they have no legal definition and shouldn’t be relied on alone when choosing skincare.

Topical collagen is one Dr. Richland is wary of, explaining that collagen molecules are too large to penetrate the skin. Instead, they simply moisturise the surface rather than boosting your skin’s collagen production, reiterating the benefits of ingredients such as retinoids and peptides instead.

What age should you start using anti-aging creams?

While Dr Richland reassures that there’s no panic birthday that changes everything overnight in terms of skincare, you should start using anti-ageing creams sooner than you might think, adding that prevention is always cheaper and easier than correction.

“Sunscreen should really start in childhood. A simple antioxidant and SPF routine makes good sense once you’re in your twenties. And most people do beautifully introducing a retinoid somewhere in their late twenties or thirties,” he explains. “The mindset that serves you best is protecting and maintaining the skin you have, rather than ignoring it for decades and then trying to play catch-up once the wrinkles have arrived.”

This Dr Sebagh serum gave my skin an instant glow

The Independent and Yahoo will earn a commission from purchases made via links in this article. Pricing and availability are subject to change.

There’s a rising number of skincare buys containing similar components to in-clinic aesthetic treatments, such as topical PDRN serums that contain polynucleotides. The latest is Dr Sebagh’s exo c booster, a new serum containing plant-derived exosomes, bio-synthesised collagen and vitamin C.

While vitamin C and collagen components are known for offering brightening benefits and supporting hydration, exosomes are said to help promote cellular regeneration and collagen stimulation. With this being the first product in Dr Sebagh’s skincare line to contain plant-derived exosomes, it is an at-home counterpart to the formula being used during the brand founder’s in-clinic aesthetic treatments.

As a 42-year-old beauty journalist always looking for straightforward buys that can help with overall skin health, this latest launch piqued my interest. With its clinical benefits claiming to range from skin rejuvenation to accelerated wound healing and reduction of inflammation, the booster is billed as a base layer to enhance the performance of any other skincare applied on top.

But could it make a difference to my skin? As a busy mum continually seeking accessible skincare solutions, I put it to the test.

The exo c booster is a new addition to Dr Sebagh’s advanced ageing-maintenance skincare range (Helen Wilson-Beevers)

Read more: Renew+Me, reviewed by a beauty expert

Presented in a glass bottle with a pipette applicator, the booster has a notably pearlescent finish. This is due to its white mother of pearl component. As well as bringing a luxury vibe to the serum that is reflected in the £68 price tag, I found it adds an instantly glowy luminosity to skin.

Adding a couple of drops to cleansed skin, I used it in the morning and evening. The lightweight liquid easily spreads across skin, leaving a sheer finish. While the inclusion of vitamin C can make my sensitive skin tingle a little, there was no irritation whatsoever with this product. I saw a gently hydrating effect, rather than the serum being an overtly glossy or greasy layer. It also absorbs well into skin, with no lingering residue.

As well as the exosomes, vitamin C and collagen, the exo c booster also contains anti-oxidant ferulic acid and adenosine and glycogen which are said to support the skin barrier and help reduce dynamic wrinkles. While I’m sceptical about any claims that topical skincare can change wrinkles – due to their deep-set nature and the environmental and biological factors involved – hydration-promoting skincare that helps protect the skin barrier can temporarily improve their appearance. The serum does have a smoothing effect, which helps make the tone of my skin appear more even, too.

Because of the immediate radiance it creates, the booster is a brilliant primer underneath make-up as well as being a brightening layer to give tired skin a lift on those bare face days. While I can’t comment on changes to rejuvenation after a fortnight’s use, I’m keen to keep using the booster to see how my skin fares. It’s a great go-to for a vitamin C serum with a difference, and I’m very impressed by the fresh radiance I’ve noted so far.

Is Dr Sebagh’s exo c booster worth it?

With Dr Sebagh’s exo c booster containing a range of potent skincare ingredients, I was happy to see an immediate glow and brightness which continued with further use. While it has a premium price point, the results were noticeable and I’m keen to keep using the serum to chart any long-term improvement. I’ve seen no irritation, either. If you’re looking for a brightening serum with the addition of exosomes, collagen and vitamin C to help promote healthy skin, I’d recommend trying this product.

How I tested Dr Sebagh’s exo c booster

I spent two weeks testing Dr Sebagh’s exo c booster, applying it daily to cleansed skin. During this testing time, I looked at the product’s formula, key ingredients, skincare benefits and how it felt on my skin both immediately after application and several days on. I assessed the product, based on the following:

  • Formula: I considered the booster’s key ingredients and potential skincare benefits as well as the product’s overall texture and consistency.

  • Application: I applied the serum-style booster onto cleansed skin, daily. I noted how it felt on bare skin and underneath make-up.

  • Results: I looked at any improvements to my skin after initial application and with continued use. I continued whether there was a difference to the radiance and brightness of my skin, as well as noting whether any irritation occurred. I also considered whether I’d keep using the product long-term.

Makeup habits that could be ageing your skin

Makeup habits that could be ageing your skin

Picture: Getty Images/Peathegee Inc

Makeup can enhance your natural beauty, but certain everyday habits may be doing your skin more harm than good. While cosmetics themselves don’t necessarily cause premature ageing, poor application techniques, unhygienic tools and skipping skincare can contribute to fine lines, dullness and irritation.

Here are some common makeup mistakes to avoid for healthier, younger-looking skin.

Also see: Signs your body is ageing faster than it should

Wearing makeup to bed

One of the biggest skincare mistakes is going to bed without removing your makeup. According to Everyday Health, nighttime is when your skin heals itself, and sleeping in makeup disrupts this process.

Foundation, sunscreen and pollution build up on the skin throughout the day, clogging pores and preventing your skin from repairing itself overnight. Double cleansing before bed helps keep your complexion fresh and healthy.

Using dirty brushes and sponges

Makeup brushes and beauty sponges collect oil, bacteria and dead skin cells. When they’re not cleaned regularly, they can trigger breakouts and skin irritation, leaving your complexion looking tired. Wash brushes weekly and replace sponges every few months.

Also see: Hand-care routine for ageing hands

Applying too much powder

Powder can control shine, but overusing it may settle into fine lines and make skin appear drier and older. Instead, apply a light dusting only where needed and choose finely milled formulas for a more natural finish.

Skipping moisturiser before makeup

Hydrated skin provides the best canvas for makeup. Applying foundation to dry skin can emphasise texture, flaky patches and wrinkles. Use a moisturiser suited to your skin type before applying primer or foundation.

According to Beauty Collective, moisturiser maintains skin hydration throughout the day and therefore assists in fighting premature fine lines and wrinkles too.

Keeping expired makeup

Old makeup products can harbour bacteria and lose their performance over time. Mascara should typically be replaced every three months, while other products have varying shelf lives. Check expiry symbols and discard anything with an unusual smell or texture.

Indeed, healthy skin starts with good habits. By combining proper skincare with smart makeup practices, you can enjoy flawless-looking makeup while helping your skin maintain a radiant, youthful appearance for years to come.

Pigmentation Treatment: From sunscreen to sleep: Everyday habits that impact pigmentation treatment

Pigmentation Treatment: From sunscreen to sleep: Everyday habits that impact pigmentation treatment

(Image Credits: Pinterest) There was a time when pigmentation was largely discussed inside a dermatologist’s clinic. Today, it has become one of the most searched skincare concerns, and understandably so. Consumers are more aware, more curious and far more willing to invest in skincare than ever before. Despite the growing number of products and ingredients available, one question continues to surface: “Why isn’t my pigmentation getting better?”The answer often lies beyond the skincare shelfPigmentation doesn’t appear overnight, and it rarely has a single cause. While genetics and hormonal changes can certainly play a role, the skin is also responding to countless everyday experiences that we barely think about. Those small, repeated exposures eventually leave a visible imprint.

It’s Never Just One Sunny AfternoonWhen people hear the words “sun damage”, they usually picture a beach holiday or an afternoon spent outdoors. In reality, skin doesn’t distinguish between a holiday in Goa and twenty minutes spent walking to work every morning. Those brief moments in the sun, repeated day after day, are enough to keep triggering melanin production. Add to that long hours spent near windows, frequent commutes or forgetting to reapply sunscreen, and it becomes easier to understand why pigmentation has a habit of returning just when it seems to be improving. The skin remembers patterns, not occasions The Industry Has Created Smarter Consumers and Higher ExpectationsOne of the biggest changes we have witnessed over the years is how informed skincare consumers have become. Ingredient lists are no longer intimidating. People know what niacinamide does, they ask about tranexamic acid, and they actively seek dermatologist-backed formulations. That shift is encouraging because informed consumers make better choices. At the same time, information overload has created a different challenge. Many people believe that if one active ingredient works, four must work even better. In reality, the skin doesn’t reward excess. It rewards consistency. An overloaded routine can leave the skin irritated, weaken its protective barrier and, ironically, make pigmentation even more difficult to manage. Sometimes the best decision is not adding another serum but giving the skin the stability it has been missing.

Healthy Skin Is Built Long After the Routine EndsThe skincare industry understandably spends a great deal of time talking about products. We spend far less time talking about lifestyle. And the skin is influenced by the life we lead every day. Stress, inadequate sleep, poor hydration and environmental exposure all affect how efficiently the skin repairs itself. These are not dramatic events that instantly create pigmentation, but they shape how resilient the skin is and how well it responds to treatment over time. This is why skincare should never be viewed in isolation. The routine you follow in front of the mirror is only one part of the equation. What happens during the remaining twenty-three hours of the day matters just as much. Science Is Becoming More IntelligentIn a conversation with Shaily Mehrotra, CEO & Co-Founder of Fixderma & FCL, she solely spoke about the issue and said, “Dermatology has moved well beyond the idea of simply lightening dark spots. The focus today is understanding why pigmentation develops and supporting healthier skin while addressing those biological pathways. That is where innovation becomes meaningful. The future of skincare is becoming more precise, more personalised and far more respectful of how the skin naturally functions.” She further added, “People often ask what the most effective pigmentation treatment is. There isn’t a single answer. The most effective treatment is one that combines good science with good habits. A thoughtfully formulated skincare routine can certainly improve pigmentation, but it performs at its best when it is supported by everyday decisions that protect the skin instead of challenging it.”

Pamela Anderson reveals the four skincare products she swears by at 59

Pamela Anderson reveals the four skincare products she swears by at 59

For decades, Pamela Anderson was synonymous with glamorous Hollywood beauty. Today, however, the 59-year-old actress and model is redefining what beauty looks like by embracing simplicity, self-acceptance and healthy skin over perfection.

In an era dominated by elaborate 10-step skincare routines, cosmetic enhancements and social media beauty trends, Anderson has become an unlikely champion of minimalist skincare.

Her philosophy is refreshingly straightforward: healthy, hydrated skin doesn’t require dozens of products or hours in front of the mirror.

“Less is more,” she says – a mantra that has become the foundation of both her skincare routine and her outlook on ageing.

Beauty begins with acceptance

Rather than viewing ageing as something to resist, Anderson sees it as a natural part of life.

She has repeatedly spoken about rejecting unrealistic beauty standards, choosing instead to care for her skin rather than trying to erase every sign of time.

Instead of referring to the process as ageing, she prefers to call it “life-ing” – embracing each stage of life with confidence and authenticity.

Her message resonates with women who are increasingly seeking realistic, sustainable approaches to beauty instead of unattainable ideals.

Pamela Anderson’s four skincare essentials

After launching her own vegan skincare line featuring just four products, Anderson explained that effective skincare doesn’t have to be complicated.

Her routine focuses on nourishing the skin barrier and maintaining long-lasting hydration.

1. A nourishing lip balm

Lips are often one of the first areas to show visible signs of ageing because they contain no oil glands and have thinner skin than the rest of the face.

Anderson recommends keeping lips continuously hydrated with a nourishing balm. Ingredients such as peptides, hyaluronic acid and collagen can help soften fine lines while improving moisture and giving lips a fuller, smoother appearance over time.

Regular use also helps protect lips from environmental damage and prevents dryness throughout the day.

2. A gentle cleanser

No matter the season, Anderson believes cleansing should remain gentle and consistent.

She washes her face morning and evening using a cleanser formulated with soothing botanical ingredients such as aloe vera, ginger root extract and bisabolol.

These ingredients help calm redness, remove impurities and maintain the skin’s natural moisture barrier without stripping away essential oils.

For mature skin, harsh cleansers can contribute to dryness and sensitivity, making a mild formula a far better choice.

3. A hydrating serum

One of Anderson’s biggest skincare priorities is ensuring her skin feels healthy, calm and comfortable.

Immediately after cleansing, she applies a serum while her skin is still slightly damp to maximise hydration.

Serums deliver concentrated active ingredients deeper into the skin than traditional moisturisers.

For mature skin, ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, peptides, antioxidants and niacinamide can help address concerns including dehydration, uneven skin tone, fine lines and loss of elasticity.

4. A rich moisturising cream

If there is one lesson Anderson wishes she had learnt earlier, it is the importance of hydration.

A good moisturising cream locks in moisture, strengthens the skin barrier and helps reduce dryness – one of the most common concerns associated with mature skin.

A richer cream can also double as an overnight treatment, allowing the skin to recover while you sleep and leaving it feeling softer and more supple by morning.

The makeup-free moment that changed the conversation

Paris Fashion Week became the backdrop for one of Anderson’s most talked-about beauty moments when she attended several Spring/Summer shows in October 2023 completely makeup-free.

Appearing bare-faced at presentations including those by Vivienne Westwood, Victoria Beckham and Isabel Marant, Anderson challenged conventional red carpet expectations and sparked global conversations about natural beauty.

She later explained that she simply no longer wanted to spend hours in a makeup chair or compete with unrealistic beauty standards.

Instead, she chose authenticity, finding freedom in showing the world her natural face.

Confidence over perfection

Perhaps Anderson’s greatest beauty secret has nothing to do with skincare products at all.

She has openly shared that she no longer measures herself against her younger self or feels pressured to chase eternal youth.

Instead, she believes that confidence comes from within and that caring for your skin should be about comfort, health and self-respect rather than perfection.

Her approach serves as a reminder that ageing gracefully is less about turning back the clock and more about embracing every chapter with confidence.

Best Clinical Skincare Routine for Anti-Aging: New Guide Announced

Best Clinical Skincare Routine for Anti-Aging: New Guide Announced

LibertyBlume Health announces a new anti-aging skincare guide featuring beautyIQ cream with clinically proven peptides Tripeptide-5 and Dipeptide Diamino to boost hydration, restore elasticity, and reduce wrinkles through evidence-based formulations.

— LibertyBlume Health has announced the release of a detailed guide for a clinical anti-aging skincare routine, designed specifically for women seeking effective, science-backed solutions to combat visible signs of aging. The guide centers on beautyIQ, an anti-aging cream formulated with clinically proven peptides including Tripeptide-5 and Dipeptide Diamino, which work through distinct mechanisms to boost hydration, restore elasticity, and reduce wrinkle depth. This structured routine translates independent research findings into an accessible, step-by-step framework that addresses the growing demand for dermatologist-grade formulations outside of clinical settings.

More details can be found at https://beautyiq.life/

The announcement arrives as consumers increasingly prioritize ingredient transparency and evidence-based efficacy over marketing claims. Independent clinical studies have demonstrated that Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate can reduce wrinkle depth by up to 20% within 28 days by mimicking muscle-relaxing effects similar to certain snake venom peptides, blocking sodium ion uptake in muscle cells to smooth dynamic wrinkles. Meanwhile, research on Tripeptide-5 shows it stimulates natural collagen synthesis by activating transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), with in vitro studies indicating significant increases in collagen production, directly addressing loss of firmness and structural integrity that characterize aging skin.

These mechanisms work synergistically within the beautyIQ formulation, which the guide positions as the cornerstone of a three-step regimen. Dermatological recommendations consistently emphasize the importance of pairing active peptide ingredients with proper cleansing and moisturizing to maximize penetration and efficacy; the guide translates this principle into practical instructions for twice-daily application. By combining independent scientific validation with a user-friendly routine framework, LibertyBlume Health aims to bridge the gap between professional-grade treatments and at-home skincare accessible to everyday consumers.

The guide outlines three primary benefits women can expect from consistent use of the routine. First, hydration is enhanced through 1-Hexadecanol, a fatty alcohol that forms a protective barrier on the skin’s surface to prevent moisture loss, addressing the dryness and dullness that often accompany aging. Second, elasticity is restored as Tripeptide-5 stimulates fibroblasts to rebuild collagen networks, lifting and plumping sagging skin. Third, wrinkles are visibly reduced as Dipeptide Diamino relaxes facial muscles at the source of expression lines, delivering a smoother, more youthful appearance. Studies have demonstrated that formulations containing Tripeptide-5 lead to improvements in skin elasticity and reductions in skin roughness over 12 weeks, underscoring the multi-faceted approach that targets aging simultaneously rather than in isolation.

Achieving these results requires consistency. The guide simplifies implementation by breaking down the routine into three straightforward steps: cleansing with a gentle exfoliant to remove debris, applying a small amount of beautyIQ to the face and neck while massaging against the direction of wrinkles, and allowing complete absorption before sun exposure or makeup application. This framework democratizes access to clinical-grade skincare, making dermatologist-level formulations available to women who may not have access to in-office treatments or high-end spa services. The guide also sets realistic expectations, noting that visible improvements typically emerge within days to weeks depending on individual skin conditions and adherence to the twice-daily regimen.

LibertyBlume Health developed the guide as part of its commitment to providing evidence-based, accessible solutions that empower women to take control of their skin health with confidence. By translating complex peptide science into actionable instructions and pairing independent clinical research with practical application techniques, the company positions the routine as an invitation to join a growing community of informed consumers who prioritize efficacy. Why a Night-Time Skincare Routine Matters, According to Chanel Beauty

Why a Night-Time Skincare Routine Matters, According to Chanel Beauty

Sublimage After Dark

For many of us, skincare at the end of the day is simply another task to tick off before bed. Cleanse, moisturise and call it a night. But there is something to be said for slowing the process down.

Night-time has long been considered the most important window for skincare. While you sleep, your skin shifts its focus away from defending itself against the day’s environmental stressors and towards recovery. It’s the perfect opportunity to replenish moisture, support repair and give hardworking formulas the uninterrupted time they need to perform.

That philosophy sits at the heart of Chanel’s Sublimage collection. Rather than relying on a single hero product, the range is designed as a complete ritual, with each formula building on the last.

Tying the collection together is Chanel’s signature polyfractioned Vanilla Planifolia, an ingredient developed from a rare variety of vanilla grown in Madagascar. Found throughout the range, it’s combined with complementary ingredients to help support regeneration, improve skin quality and leave the complexion looking smoother, stronger and more radiant over time.

Just as the end of the day offers a chance to reset, so too does your skincare routine. Each step in the Sublimage ritual has been created with a specific purpose, working in harmony to cleanse, prepare, repair and nourish skin while you sleep, so you wake up looking as refreshed as you feel.

Sublimage L’Huile-en-Gel de Démaquillage

A good night routine starts with a proper cleanse, and this one makes the process feel far more indulgent than your average make-up remover. The silky gel melts into an oil as it’s massaged over the skin before transforming into a light milk when water is added, effortlessly lifting away make-up, sunscreen and the day’s impurities.

Sublimage L’Extrait de Lotion

Often overlooked, a lotion can make all the difference to how the rest of your skincare performs. L’Extrait de Lotion acts as the bridge between cleansing and treatment, flooding skin with hydration while preparing it to better absorb the next layers.

Its lightweight texture is dotted with thousands of micro-droplets that deliver both freshness and nourishment, leaving skin feeling immediately plumper and more comfortable. It’s one of those products that doesn’t necessarily shout for attention, but quietly elevates everything applied afterwards.

Sublimage L’Extrait de Nuit

If there is one product that truly defines the evening ritual, it’s L’Extrait de Nuit. Created specifically for night-time use, this concentrated treatment works alongside the skin’s natural overnight repair cycle, helping it recover while you sleep.

Promising eight hours of sleep in a bottle, the formula combines polyfractioned Vanilla Planifolia with Swertia extract and a naturally derived chronopeptide, creating a treatment that’s focused on supporting skin when regeneration is at its peak. Despite its potency, the texture remains beautifully lightweight thanks to millions of micro-droplets that deliver both hydration and comfort.

Sublimage La Crème

The final step is all about sealing in the benefits of everything that came before. Rich without feeling heavy, La Crème wraps the skin in lasting comfort while helping maintain hydration throughout the night. Over time, it works to improve the appearance of firmness, smoothness and radiance, leaving skin looking healthier with continued use.

One of the best things about the moisturiser is that it isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula. Chanel offers two different textures: Texture Fine for those who prefer something lighter, particularly in warmer, more humid climates, and Texture Suprême for anyone who enjoys a richer, more cocooning finish. It means the routine can be tailored to both your skin type and the changing seasons without compromising on the benefits of the formula.

Sublimage La Crème Yeux

The eye area is often the first place to reveal the effects of long days and late nights, making it worth giving a little extra attention before bed. La Crème Yeux targets the delicate skin around the eyes with the same regenerative philosophy as the rest of the collection, helping to improve the appearance of fine lines while leaving the eye area looking smoother, brighter and more refreshed by morning.

Like the rest of the Sublimage ritual, it’s less about chasing overnight miracles and more about consistency. Night after night, the small moments of care add up, transforming an everyday skincare routine into a ritual that feels just as restorative for the mind as it does for the skin.
