Nirogi Panchan Churna: The Digestion, Skin And Mood Connection For Clear Skin, Better Energy, And Wellness

Nirogi Panchan Churna: The Digestion, Skin And Mood Connection For Clear Skin, Better Energy, And Wellness

In recent years, health experts and wellness practitioners have increasingly highlighted the deep relationship between digestion, skin health, and emotional well-being. Many people focus on skincare products or stress management techniques without realising that the root cause of their concerns may lie in their digestive system. Understanding the digestion and skin connection can help explain why issues like acne, dull skin, fatigue, or mood fluctuations often appear together.

The digestion and skin relationship may be used to understand why problems like acne, dull skin, fatigue, and mood swings tend to be observed in combination. Weakness or imbalance in the digestion process may lead to a series of consequences that affect both the physical appearance and emotional state.

The Digestion and Skin Connection

Proper digestion means that the body gets the necessary nutrients needed to repair and regenerate the skin. Antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins that are absorbed during digestion are directly beneficial to the skin.

But, in case of slowing down or inefficiency of digestion, nutrients are not absorbed effectively. Meanwhile, toxins that are supposed to be removed may build up in the body.

Since the skin is one of the organs of the body that helps to detoxify the body, these internal imbalances can manifest themselves externally in the form of breakouts, dullness, or irritation. This is why there is a high level of digestion and skin connection that is usually witnessed in holistic health practices.

How Digestive Imbalance Affects Skin and Mood?

Digestive health does not just affect the skin, but it is also very crucial in emotional well-being. In case of disrupted digestion, it may affect various body systems.

1. The Gut and Mood Link

The gut and mood link is a direct communication between the digestive system and the brain. That is why the gut is referred to as the second brain.

A healthy digestive system aids in the production of neurotransmitters like serotonin that control mood and emotional stability. This connection is the reason behind the strong gut and mood connection.

In case of weak digestion, individuals can be irritable, lack energy, be anxious, or be moody.

2. Acne and Gut Health

Most individuals only use external skincare to treat acne, yet the root cause may be in the digestive system.

The connection between acne and gut health is becoming more accepted. In case the digestive system is not able to digest food effectively, the toxins may build up and cause inflammation in the body.

This inflammation can present itself as acne, redness, or chronic breakouts.

3. Hormonal Skin Issues

Hormone skin issues are also influenced by digestive health. The gut assists in the digestion and removal of surplus hormones in the body.

Hormones can be disrupted when the digestive system is impaired, which leads to hormonal skin problems, including jawline acne, frequent breakouts, or oily skin.

Digestion can be supported and thus help stabilise hormonal fluctuations and skin clarity.

4. Nutrient Deficiency and Dull Skin

Poor digestion can make the body unable to absorb the necessary nutrients like zinc, vitamin A, and antioxidants. These are essential nutrients that are important in skin repair and renewal.

In the absence of adequate absorption, the skin can be dull, fatigued, or inflamed.

Recognising Digestive Imbalance Symptoms

Most people complain of digestive problems without even knowing how they affect their health in general. Early detection of digestive imbalance symptoms can prevent the development of complications in the long term.

Common symptoms include:

  • Bloating or gas after meals

  • Indigestion or heaviness

  • Constipation or bowel irregularities.

  • Fatigue after eating

  • Bad breath or coated tongue

  • Recurrent acne or skin eruptions.

In case these symptoms are frequent, it could be a sign that the digestive system requires assistance.

The Ayurvedic Approach to Digestive Health

The traditional wellness systems have traditionally focused on digestion as the basis of health. Ayurveda has a concept of Agni, or digestive fire, which controls digestion.

In case of the weakness of digestive fire, toxins called Ama can build up in the body. These toxins may disrupt the health of the skin, energy, and emotional stability.

An Ayurvedic gut cleanse is aimed at boosting the digestive system, aiding detoxification, and restoring the body’s balance. Instead of severe detoxification, Ayurveda advocates mild herbal supplementation and nutrition.

Supporting Digestion with Nirogi Panchan Churna

Ayurveda has been practicing herbal remedies to keep the digestive system healthy over centuries. Nirogi Panchan Churna is one such formulation that is meant to help in the natural functioning of the digestive system.

This Ayurvedic combination assists in enhancing the digestion process by helping the body to digest food more effectively and eliminating the usual digestive issues like bloating or heaviness.

It can also assist in enhancing the absorption of nutrients and the natural detoxification of the body by enhancing digestion.

As the digestion is enhanced, its effects are not limited to the gut. Better skin, increased energy, and a better mood usually follow, supporting the significance of the digestion and skin relationship.

A Holistic Path to Better Skin and Mood

Internal balance is often reflected in healthy skin and emotional well-being. Although skincare and stress management are significant, real wellness starts with a healthy digestive system.

Knowing the gut and mood connection, treating acne and gut health, and being aware of the symptoms of digestive imbalance, people can take active measures to improve their health.

Ayurvedic preparations such as Nirogi Panchan Churna can be used to support digestion by maintaining a balanced diet, mindful habits, and Ayurvedic preparations.

Finally, in case of a healthy digestion, the whole body is healthy, the skin is clear, the mood is better, and the sense of well-being is enhanced.

Revieve’s Beauty & Wellness Index 2025 signals a new era of guided beauty commerce

Revieve’s Beauty & Wellness Index 2025 signals a new era of guided beauty commerce

Chicago, USA — March 4th 2026 — Revieve, a leader in AI-powered beauty and wellness technology, today released the Beauty & Wellness Index 2025, a global analysis based on millions of AI-powered consumer interactions across skincare and makeup, spanning leading direct-to-consumer brands and multi-brand retailers worldwide.

The report confirms a decisive shift in beauty commerce: guided diagnostics are no longer a feature — they are the foundation of how beauty is discovered, evaluated, and purchased in 2025. Drawing on real behavioural data from selfie-based diagnostics, virtual try-on, and guided recommendation journeys, the Index benchmarks how personalisation, engagement depth, and intent qualification are reshaping performance across the beauty funnel.

“What we’re seeing in the data is a fundamental change in how consumers expect to engage with beauty,” said Sampo Parkkinen, CEO of Revieve.
“In 2025, discovery starts with understanding — not browsing. Guided diagnostics have become the entry point to relevance, trust, and ultimately conversion.”

Guided Diagnostics Now Define Beauty Discovery

The data shows that guided experiences — including selfie-based skin analysis, quizzes, and virtual try-on — have become the dominant starting point for beauty journeys. Consumers increasingly seek diagnostics that translate personal needs into meaningful product recommendations, rather than navigating product catalogs alone.

  • 60–75% of consumers now begin their beauty journey through a guided experience rather than category browsing
  • Guided flows deliver 2–3× higher completion rates than non-guided paths
  • Sessions with diagnostics show 40–80% longer engagement time, particularly in skincare

Across skincare and makeup, guided journeys consistently outperform non-guided flows, delivering higher completion rates, stronger purchase intent, and better-qualified traffic.

Consumer Profile: Skin Intelligence Takes Center Stage

Beauty engagement remains predominantly female (70%), with strongest participation among users aged 18–34, though meaningful engagement spans all adult age groups.

Top skin concerns remain consistent across brands and retailers:

  • Visible pores
  • Dull or tired-looking skin
  • Acne and blemishes
  • Redness and sensitivity
  • Dark circles and early ageing

More than 65% of users present with three or more concurrent concerns, reinforcing the shift toward routine-based guidance over single hero-product shopping. Notably, nearly one in four users still does not know their skin type, positioning diagnostics as a critical education layer.

“This level of uncertainty around basic skin knowledge highlights why diagnostics matter,” said Irina Mazur, Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer at Revieve.
“They don’t just drive performance, they empower consumers with confidence and clarity.”

Skincare Performance: Brands and Retailers Win Differently

In skincare, brands and retailers both benefit from guided diagnostics — but in different ways:

  • Brands achieve higher conversion efficiency through focused concern paths and faster product selection
  • Retailers drive deeper exploration, with stronger routine and bundle adoption

“This divergence is critical for beauty leaders to understand,” said Mazur. “Conversion rate alone no longer tells the full story. Engagement quality and intent signalling are now just as important.”

Makeup in 2025: Try, Compare, Then Commit

Makeup discovery in 2025 is driven by exploration and experimentation, with over 80% of guided journeys beginning with photo-based virtual try-on. Products that are tried on are 2× more likely to be added to cart, and virtual try-on increases evaluation time by 40%, reinforcing confidence rather than rushing conversion.

Consumers test an average of 5–7 shades or looks per session, with top-performing lip and complexion products accounting for 60% of all try-on activity, highlighting the importance of a focused core assortment.

Across beauty and wellness, guided diagnostics, mobile-first experiences, concern-led personalisation, and routine-based journeys have emerged as the strongest drivers of both engagement and performance. Brands are winning by optimising their most relevant products and shortening decision cycles, while retailers succeed by enabling exploration, promoting routines and bundles, and delaying hard conversion until consumer intent is clearly established.

Bonus Insight: Holiday Season Performance 2025

The 2025 holiday season demonstrated that guided diagnostics have become peak-season infrastructure, not just conversion tools. Selfie-based diagnostic interactions increased by 9% year over year, while completion rates remained stable at 74% despite significant traffic surges. Shoppers engaging with guided experiences converted at 1.6–1.9× higher rates and generated higher average order value. During the most competitive retail moments, diagnostics helped brands protect premium positioning and enabled retailers to structure browsing-heavy demand at scale.

What’s Next: Monthly Beauty & Wellness Index in 2026

Building on the annual Index, Revieve will release a monthly Beauty & Wellness Index throughout 2026, providing ongoing visibility into evolving consumer behaviour, performance benchmarks, and emerging trends.

In 2025, beauty conversion is no longer linear. Guided journeys now deliver the strongest performance across the entire funnel — with brands winning on efficiency, retailers winning on exploration, and both succeeding when diagnostics lead the journey. Guided experiences are no longer a differentiator; they are the foundation of modern beauty commerce.

Every Beauty & Wellness Product The Viva Team Have On Their Wishlist In 2026

Every Beauty & Wellness Product The Viva Team Have On Their Wishlist In 2026

From a new body wash designed with active types in mind, to a sleep-supporting elixir and a coffee-spiked scent, our editors share every product they’ll be adding to their beauty and wellness routines in 2026.

It’s a blessing and a curse to know about all the exciting launches in

The downside? The patience required while you wait for products to land in-store.

But good things come to those who wait, and here the Viva team share the 12 products they’re adding to their wish lists this year – some available now, some coming soon.

Sneak a glimpse into their beauty and wellness routines, below.

I’m a big fan of skincare first foundations and can’t stand the feel of heavy or cakey foundation. This one from VB beauty contains Augustinus Bader’s skin cell-rejuvenating TFC8 and is meant to be game changing for those who want their foundation to do more and still give a flawless finish. —Jenni Mortimer, chief lifestyle and entertainment reporter

I exercise a lot, which means I sweat and shower a lot too – conditions that exacerbate the bumps of keratosis pilaris on my arms. As a fan of the kit: Wellness Wash, I’ve got high hopes for their new Workout Wash – a body cleanser formulated with active exfoliants and fruit acids to help unclog pores and botanicals to soothe flushed skin and rinse away sweat and smells. —Tyson Beckett, journalist

My word for 2026 is “balance” and with that comes the side quest to clean up my sleep hygiene. Early nights are a good start, but I’m also planning on adding in certain supplements into my wind-down routine like the new BYRÉ After Dark Coco. This sleep support elixir sees hero ingredient cacao combined with adaptogens, medicinal mushrooms and superfoods to promote a deep, restorative sleep. A hot chocolate that tastes great and has you waking up feeling replenished and energised? How’s that for beauty sleep. —Ashleigh Cometti, beauty editor

Historically, I’ve treated fragrance as an afterthought. But this year I’m looking to create some more sensorial grounding in my everyday – small things, like putting bare feet into grass, taking my headphones out on the bus and scratching at the surface of citrus peels whenever they’re in hand. A good scent feels like an extension of this intention. I love the sound of this Abel one: intense, smoky, notes of black coffee. —Madeleine Crutchley, journalist

This year I’m planning a big chop and getting the always trending long bob. I have incredibly straight hair so most stylers struggle to keep a curl in my hair for long. But I’ve been hearing great things about Dyson’s Chitosan pre-style cream which is meant to help waves stay in place. —JM

Nude By Nature Lacquer Lip Serum, $25

I’ve always been a huge fan of multi-tasking lipcare, and the new Nude By Nature Lacquer Lip Serum has caught my attention for this very reason. The skincare-infused lipstick delivers both colour and nourishment in every swipe thanks to its blend of hyaluronic acid, plant-based oils and vitamin E. I’m slowly transitioning all my lip products to those with cool undertones, and the shade 01 Soft Rosette is the perfect cool-toned pink. —AC

Available from Chemist Warehouse and Farmers from March 16.

I want to inject more colour into my everyday ensembles and polish feels like an accessible entry point. In the past, I’ve played around with contrasting colourways, so I might pick up a couple of shades. For now, I’m really interested in this sky blue nail polish by Manucurist (but the brick red and dark pansy also catch my eye). —MC

There’s only so much fibremaxxing a digestively challenged lass can stomach before taking things into her own hands, or more accurately, the hands of a trained masseuse. I’ve read a couple of studies that suggest lymphatic massage could offer a non-invasive complementary solution to managing IBS and I’m putting myself forward as a case study. —TB

Heat, salt, chlorine and minimal hair care left my summer locks in quite a state for the beginning of 2026. I’m not upset. Split ends, dryness and sun-bleached colour are characteristics to celebrate after a summer well-lived. But as I’m settling back into routine, and switching sea swims for pool lanes, I am looking for something to nourish a fresh haircut on a more regular basis. Seasoned swimmers will know that submerging with hair that is already wet, under a cap, can provide some protection. I’d like to go the extra step and apply a leave-in conditioner before my swims. This one from Philip Kingsley is designed specifically for this purpose. —MC

Body brushing, and all its amazing benefits around circulation and skin texture, have been calling to me for a while. But after a recent massage at East Day Spa, where they used a dry body brush on me, I realised it’s a must. It felt incredible and is also amazing for leg circulation for those of us who sit in office chairs all day. —JM

A former beauty buyer at Smith & Caughey’s first introduced me to Montale’s Intense Cafe five years ago, and it’s been one of my top-rated fragrances ever since. Sweet but not cloying, the juice highlights notes of rose and coffee, with vanilla, amber and white musk lending a comforting scent trail. I’ve lost count of how many “what fragrance are you wearing?” questions I’ve had fired my way while wearing this scent. —AC

Touch-ups are not so easy on a smartphone camera – skin texture is blurred, colours are muddy and definition is lacking. With the advent of a new haircut that demands plenty of attention (fringe!), I’ve gravitated to a makeup compact that allows more precision. However, I’d like an on-the-go mirror that doesn’t risk spilling product over clean clothes. I’ll try to thrift one second-hand, but I have pinned this sweet compact to my bookmarks bar. I like the deep red hue and the tactile texture. —MC

The wellness wild west’s latest skincare fad is salmon sperm

The wellness wild west’s latest skincare fad is salmon sperm

This is Optimizer, a weekly newsletter sent every Friday from Verge senior reviewer Victoria Song that dissects and discusses the latest gizmos and potions that swear they’re going to change your life. Opt in for Optimizer here.

While scrolling through my TikTok feed, I often find myself thinking of Elizabeth Báthory. Legend has it that Báthory, a powerful 16th-century Hungarian countess, would kill virgins and bathe in their blood to retain her youth. Historians have debated whether Báthory really was a serial killer, though most agree she probably didn’t actually bathe in blood. Still, she’s what I think of anytime I see how far vanity will take us: vampire facials, snail mucin, bird poop treatments, and now Rejuran — a Korean skincare serum with the hottest new ingredient, PDRN. In case you were unaware, PDRN comes from salmon sperm.

Usually, these ads show skinfluencers with bouncy, hydrated skin extracting a clear liquid from a silver bottle. This serum, they say, is a game changer. Rubbing it into your face will promote skin rejuvenation, elasticity, and collagen production. The result is enhanced healing, improved skin texture, and reduced wrinkles, and it’s all thanks to patented science. Rejuran’s PDRN molecule is 670 times smaller than your pores, meaning enhanced absorption.

You can be the most skeptical person on the planet, but it’s hard to argue with the human desire to be young and beautiful.

“PDRN stands for polydeoxyribonucleotide, which essentially is just a DNA fragment,” says Victoria Fu, a cosmetic chemist and one of the founders behind the Chemist Confessions skincare brand. “Super old-school PDRN treatments actually come from human placenta, but now salmon sperm PDRN has become the industry standard.”

According to Fu, beauty trends like injectables often stem from the medical field. Before it became a hot skincare ingredient, PDRN was studied as an injected therapeutic treatment for conditions like diabetic foot ulcers, and there are some promising studies for injectable PDRN that suggest it could be helpful for wound healing — though PDRN injectables haven’t been FDA-approved in the US. Generally speaking, injectables are considered more effective for rapid, dramatic, and structural changes, as they’re able to deliver ingredients deeper into the skin. Injectable hyaluronic acid, for instance, is more effective at restoring volume than topical hyaluronic acid.

Online, PDRN started gaining notoriety a few years ago as skinfluencers shuttled themselves to South Korea for salmon DNA facials. In the typical video, these beauty influencers would giggle. Come with me to get a salmon sperm facial! Usually, a doctor is shown injecting PDRN into the skin every few millimeters until the influencer’s face is riddled with tiny, swollen mounds. It hurts so much! Recovery takes so long! But just LOOK at this glow!!!

The painful treatment blew up once celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Aniston admitted to incorporating salmon sperm facials into their routines. And then, about a year ago, Rejuran — the company behind the injections — announced a topical version. No scary needles, no need to fly to Korea, and a bottle costs about $52, whereas the facial could run anywhere from $500 to $700. Now, you can find PDRN in all kinds of skincare products ranging from eye creams to sunscreen.

Despite authoring this newsletter, I’m not immune to wellness fads. I covet glass skin like any other vain 30-something afraid of the harsh ravages of time. I’ve bought the stupid TikTok skincare wand that influencers said was “clinically proven” and that Hailey Bieber uses. I reviewed its clinical studies on electroporation — microcurrents that supposedly tear tiny holes in your skin to help products absorb better — and knew it was dubious (if relatively harmless).

Which is to say, I knew it was a red flag when I heard an influencer in a Rejuran ad say the product was “clinically proven,” but I bought a bottle anyway. I’ve used two bottles of Rejuran’s topical ampoule and other skincare products marketing hot new ingredients like volufiline, because that’s the power of science-adjacent wellness marketing. (Volufiline is a new plant-based compound that’s marketed as “topical filler” because it stimulates fat cell production.)

Still, if you truly could replicate injectable results in an easily accessible serum — that’s a compelling claim. So I asked Fu if any of the claims about topical PDRN being as effective as injected skincare treatments held water.

“There’s some early research supporting PDRN in medical and aesthetic procedures, but evidence for topical PDRN is still very limited,” says Fu. “A serum cannot be a non-invasive substitute for an injectable procedure.”

The reason is straightforward. Even if there’s evidence that PDRN itself could be an effective ingredient, the mode of delivery matters.

“Injectable treatments deliver material directly into skin tissue at concentrations and depths topical products simply won’t be able to achieve,” says Fu.

But silly things like facts aren’t enough to stop skincare brands from jumping on experimental fads so long as they’re not technically harmful.

Just the other day, I was served a video from megaviral beauty influencer Mikayla Nogueira announcing to her 17 million followers that she’s launching a salmon-derived PDRN face ampoule and eye serum for her own cosmetics line.

“A science-backed duo powered by PDRN that is going to lift, firm, plump your skin plus so much more. Not to mention these products are made in Korea, dermatologist tested, clinically tested, and proven to do exactly what they say they’re going to do,” Nogueira says in the ad. She goes on to say that she worked with Korean cosmetics chemists, and uses phrases like “low molecular weight” and “efficacious” levels.

I have no doubt Nogueira believes in PDRN products. But as I wrote in a recent Optimizer, “clinically tested” and “science-backed” are marketing phrases that don’t always mean what you think.

Meanwhile, other brands are advertising less icky versions of PDRN derived from plants. There are ginseng-derived PDRN products on the market, like the VT Cosmetics PDRN Essence 100, and the Medicube PDRN Pink Peptide Serum derived from roses. Supposedly, these brands would have you believe plant-based PDRN is just as effective and a vegan alternative.

“PDRN source, purity, molecular size, and stabilization all matter,” says Fu. “‘Plant-based PDRN’ is a bit of a marketing gray area. It may be DNA fragments, but it’s not automatically equivalent to the clinical material studied in medical literature. Two products can list PDRN and behave very differently. The good news is we are seeing more studies come out on these plant PDRNs, so hopefully we can better gauge these different sources soon.”

Fu says all things considered, PDRN is a “relatively vanilla” skincare active that’s unlikely to irritate your skin and is fine for curious skincare hobbyists to experiment with. But that also means it’s not a foundational part of any skincare routine. Things like sunscreen, moisturizers, and well-studied actives like retinoids are more likely to do the heavy lifting in any regimen. Like most things in the wellness space, the main harm that PDRN poses is to your wallet. Fu says that consistency and patience are the key to getting real, long-term results. (Unfortunately, these are also the two things most consumers would like to bypass.)

“Social media has made it possible for consumers to hear from industry insiders like ourselves,” Fu says, referring to herself and her partner, Gloria Lu. In addition to running their own cosmetics brand, the two chemists also write a skincare science education blog and host a podcast. “But the flip side is that consumers will also hear a LOT of noise and contradicting information from all sorts of directions.”

Fu says the smart thing to do is look at any testing a brand is willing to share and look for quantifiable grading metrics over consumer perception. As in, “34 percent improvement in elasticity” is a more meaningful claim than “90 percent of users agree they saw an improvement in skin hydration in two weeks.” Before and after pictures, she says, can also be misleading due to inconsistent lighting or face angles. If a claim sounds too good to be true, it likely is.

“We try to remind everyone to refrain from a ‘knee-jerk’ reaction and not to let the trends distract you from sticking to the fundamentals of your routine,” says Fu.

Having spent the past three months slathering a salmon sperm serum on my face, I honestly couldn’t tell you if it’s improved my skin. Maybe it’s a smidge glowier. I think it helped with one stubborn acne scar. I knew that I wouldn’t see dramatic results going in, just as I knew that the trendy volufiline serums that skinfluencers claim are “filler in a bottle” wouldn’t fix my undereyes. Is it egregious that I know better and still partook? Maybe. But to Fu’s point, I’m religious about the fundamentals — sunscreen, moisturizer, and as of recently, tretinoin, which I incorporated after consulting my dermatologist. The point is that I’ve done my homework and made an informed choice.

It just so happened that this time, I thought experimenting with salmon jizz serums was harmless fun.

Operators around the world are prioritising in-room wellness

Operators around the world are prioritising in-room wellness

A raft of operators have been in touch with Spa Business recently, to tell us how they are extending the spa experience by introducing in-room wellness offerings, such supercharged wellness mini-bar menus.

From self-guided facial treatment videos, skincare in minibars and rented equipment, hotels around the world are finding new ways to improve the guest experience and create revenue.

This is not to say heavily salted nuts and a sugar-laden drink have disappeared entirely from mini-bars, but operators are definitely being more imaginative in how they maximise wellness spending.

Early adopters, known for introducing in-room wellness features, include Kerzner International’s SIRO hotel brand, which offers fitness equipment, workout videos and various bedding options for optimum sleeping conditions.

Newer offerings are moving beyond on-demand fitness videos by boosting in-room recovery and wellness rituals.

Recovery

Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach, a 24-key resort in California, US, has launched a wellness mini bar menu of rentable recovery products.

Available to borrow for 24 hours at a time, equipment on the menu is by Hyperice, including the brand’s Normatec leg compression boots, the Venom 2 heat and massage wraps, the Hypervolt 2 percussion massager and the Hyperice X contrast therapy devices for knees and shoulders.

The menu also offers access to infrared and PEMF therapies in the form of sauna blankets and infrared mats by HigherDOSE.

Additional sleep-supporting products are available, such as melatonin-infused teas, CBD soaks and gummies, plus eye masks and socks by luxury lifestyle brand Kashwére.

Hyatt property, Alila Marea Beach Resort in Encinitas, US, has also recently introduced molecular hydrogen water bottles, light masks and supplement drops in partnership with rejuvenation technology company Lumati.

The 130-key resort’s Spa Alila added Lumati’s Recharge Portal to one of its treatment rooms recently, offering short, stackable longevity treatments and the in-room extras are seen as a way to extend the experience for busy guests.

Skincare and fragrance

Darko Vasic, regional spa and wellness director for EMEA at Karisma Hotels and Resorts, spoke about adding skincare products to minibars at the Wellness Hospitality Conference in Milan, Italy, at the end of last year.

He said adding 111Skin eye patches and products by fragrance manufacturer Amouage to mini bars at properties in Karisma’s portfolio – along with a retail upselling strategy – has generated sales.

Another example is Low Wood Bay Resort and Spa in the UK’s Lake District, which has extended its ESPA-branded spa experience into guestrooms during spa-break stays worth £340 (US$432, €398) per person, per night.

The property has recorded a video of the spa’s head therapist, guiding guests in a facial ritual, called The Guided Glow. The three-minute and thirty-second video is accessible by a QR code found in the room and is accompanied by travel-sized ESPA products.

Annabel Berry, product development and training manager for Low Wood Bay’s owning and operating company, English Lakes, told Spa Business: “The Guided Glow has been introduced as a way to extend the spa experience beyond our treatment rooms and into the quiet comfort of our guests’ own space.

“We wanted to create a calming ritual that helps guests slow down, settle in, and begin their wellness journey the moment they arrive,” added Berry. “By introducing this simple five‑step guided ritual, we’re encouraging guests to try something new and enjoy a moment of self‑care in the comfort of their room and it offers a gentle introduction to our beautiful ESPA products.”

The Bare-Minimum Wellness Routine That Keeps Me Sane-ish

The Bare-Minimum Wellness Routine That Keeps Me Sane-ish

Wellness culture keeps telling us that the secret to a good life is sunrise yoga, aten-step skincare routine, and a Himalayan salt lamp that somehow costs more than next month’s rent. But on most days, I’m just trying to get through traffic without losing hope, manage work without burning out, show up for the people I love, and make space for the occasional identity crisis. In that reality, wellness has to look different. It has to be simple. Gentle. Human. And low-effort enough that it doesn’t collapse the moment Monday shows up.

Advertisment

So this is the bare-minimum wellness routine I’ve come to trust. Nothing fancy. Just small, doable habits that fit into real life, and keep you steady without needing a spa day budget or monk-level discipline.

1. The Morning Reset

Before your brain starts loading stress like background apps, give yourself a two-minute signal that a new day has begun.

  • Splash cold water on your face
  • Drink a glass of water (yes, before coffee)
  • Stand by a window or balcony and breathe for 10 seconds

Advertisment

You’re not aiming for enlightenment. Just orientation.

2. The Two-Minute Move Rule

Photograph: (Pexels)

No gym. No mat. No pressure. Your new philosophy is to move for two minutes a day, in any way your body won’t protest.

  • A big, stretchy morning yawn + shoulder rolls
  • 10 squats while you make coffee
  • A walk across your room repeated 5 times
  • One song’s worth of light stretching

It’s not about fitness, it’s about circulation and shaking off that foggy, half-asleep energy.

3. The Three-Product Beauty Non-Negotiable

Indian weather can be… unpredictable. Scorching sun, pollution, dryness, humidity, all in one week. So pick threeproducts you’ll use daily, no matter how hectic life gets. That step becomes your anchor.

4. Your Daily Phone-Free Pocket

Photograph: (Pexels)

Not a full digital detox. Just ten minutes when your phone isn’t invited.

Choose one:

  • First 10 minutes of your morning
  • Last 10 minutes before bed
  • While having a meal
  • In the shower

This tiny boundary works wonders for your attention span and anxiety levels.

5. The Nightly Brain Unload

No perfect journaling. Just a quick, messy list of everything buzzing around your mind. Tasks. Thoughts. Worries. Things you need to remember tomorrow. All of it.

Emptying your mind before bed feels like clearing hundreds of browser tabs, liberating.

6. The 5% Rule

Ask yourself once a day:

“What would make the next hour feel 5% better?”

Tiny things count:

  • A cold beverage
  • Washing your face mid-day
  • Playing soft music
  • Sitting down for 5 minutes
  • Changing into comfy clothes after work

Not perfection, just tiny upgrades.

This is wellness without the pressure. Beauty without the overwhelm. And self-care without the guilt. A routine so simple you can maintain it even on days when everything feels like too much. Because when life gets busy, the bare minimum isn’t laziness, it’s survival. And sometimes, it’s exactly what keeps you sane.

Vira Launches as a First-of-Its-Kind South Asian, Ayurveda-Inspired Sensual Wellness Brand | Currency News | Financial and Business News

New York, United States, February 10th, 2026, FinanceWire

The clean product line bridges skincare and sex-care, reframing intimacy as an essential part of holistic self-care.

Today marks the official launch of Vira, a first-of-its-kind South Asian, Ayurveda-inspired sensual wellness brand dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace their sensuality, prioritize self-care and elevate overall well-being through thoughtfully crafted plant-based products. Launching with a line of five luxury products that bridge skincare and sex-care curated with EU-certified clean ingredients, each formula is designed to integrate physical, emotional and spiritual wellness.

Founded by Shruti Viradia, a certified Ayurvedic Health Coach and Indian American entrepreneur, Vira was conceptualized nearly five years ago, beginning with a single natural lubricant made in her own kitchen. Growing up, Shruti observed a lack of transparency and open conversation around sexual wellness within her community, a gap that inspired her to reimagine intimacy through a more inclusive, culturally rooted lens. What started as a product shared only with close friends quickly revealed a broader need for clean, holistic sensual care, ultimately becoming the foundation of Vira.

“Vira began as a deeply personal exploration of pleasure, care, and cultural identity,” says Shruti Viradia, founder of Vira. “I wanted to create products that felt safe, intentional, and rooted in tradition, while also meeting the modern need for clean, transparent sensual care. Vira is about reclaiming intimacy as an everyday act of self-care, not something that should feel shameful or hidden.”

As wellness continues to evolve beyond traditional skincare and fitness, conversations around sexual wellness still remain taboo. Vira was created to shift the narrative and offer a holistic approach that reframes intimacy as an everyday ritual of touch, embodiment and self-care – not just partner-focused moments. From hydrating oils to pH-balanced lubricants, the brand offers thoughtfully crafted products designed to nourish the skin and elevate pleasure with intention and care.

Vira’s product line includes:

  • Nectar ($44): a lightweight, multi-use body oil that hydrates, calms and repairs skin including key ingredients such as turmeric, grapeseed oil, coffee extract and more (best used as an everyday moisturizer or for sensual massage)
  • Dew ($33): a soothing multi-use body mist to refresh, balance pH and alleviate irritation including ingredients such as witch hazel and rose water (best used before and after sex or even to refresh underarms after a workout and throughout the day)
  • Ember ($36): an arousal oil designed to enhance pleasure with a gentle warming and tingling effect – similar to the feel of a lip plumper (best used before sex or during foreplay)
  • Bloom ($32): a silky play oil with a coconut oil base that doubles as a natural lubricant, massage oil and nourishing moisturizer (best used during sex or for sensual massage)
  • Monsoon ($26): an aloe-based, pH-balanced sex serum (or lubricant) for hydration and frictionless intimacy – without the sticky or greasy residue (best used during sex)

Vira’s products are available for purchase on www.virasensual.com with select items shipping out in March 2026. For more information, visit Vira’s website or @virasensual on Instagram and TikTok.

Corinthia London launches new wellness concept Biome

Corinthia London launches new wellness concept Biome

Job opportunities

Boulder Shack

£35,000 – £40,000 + benefits

location: Southampton, United Kingdom

more jobs

Corinthia London, the five-star hotel in the centre of the UK’s capital city, has re-launched its urban spa with a new concept called Biome.

The concept stems from the idea of working with, and not against the body for holistic wellbeing.

Biome is part of the 279-key hotel’s integration of a new philosophy called Primal Luxury, which is an approach designed to provide a guest experience that combines instinct and intelligence, the healing rhythms of nature and modern science.

Described as an evolution of the spa’s offering, Biome has been created to provide guests with an ecosystem of expert care. This ecosystem manifests as a partnership with an initial three foundational companies that will offer experiences combining expertise in nature, science and innate human potential. Over time, more partners will join Biome.

Botanical skincare brand Wildsmith will provide treatments using its sensorial formulations and rhythmic massage techniques designed to ground the nervous system. The facials and body therapies are designed to help guests regulate and restore balance.

Regenerative skincare brand Augustinus Bader will provide personalised scientific protocols to support the body’s natural processes of renewal and repair. Treatments will involve the brand’s innovations relating to stem cell biology and wound healing. Therapies will use the brand’s TFC8-technology skincare range that is said to improve skin cellular communication and enhance the natural renewal process.

AMP Fit has become Biome’s performance and movement partner, providing personalised fitness plans that cover movement, strength, conditioning, nutrition, recovery and accountability. The brand’s signature small group personal training sessions will be on offer at the property.

Aysun Mut, Corinthia London’s director of spa, said: “Over time, new partners, practitioners and wellbeing pillars will join us, each adding depth and dimension to the experience. Our vision is to create a deeply immersive, nature-rooted and scientifically backed experience that aims to help individuals feel both grounded and renewed. Biome is about stripping away the complexities of modern life to reconnect with nature and one’s own body.”

The future partners will offer expanded programming in areas such as movement, recovery, longevity, nutrition and holistic lifestyle support.

Biome is now open to hotel guests, members and spa day visitors. Membership packages offer various options, such as £2,500 for three months (US$3,200, €2,900), £4,000 for six months (US$5,100, €4,700) and £7,500 (US$9,500, €8,800) for 12 months.

Until now, the 3,300sq m spa had been an ESPA-Life offering, since it first launched in 2011. The thermal facilities, also designed by ESPA, continue to be a part of the spa experience at Corinthia London. The spa has a swimming pool, vitality pool, amphitheatre sauna, steamroom, experience showers and heated marble loungers.

Bustle's 2026 Beauty Icon Awards: Wellness Heroes

Bustle’s 2026 Beauty Icon Awards: Wellness Heroes

Beauty has never really been just about the products you swipe on. The creators shaping the conversation today — the ones shifting beyond perfection — understand that what resonates is what lies beneath the filters. People want the stories, the struggles, the hacks that actually work, and the ones that don’t.

That’s where “wellness” comes in — a word that’s come to mean everything and nothing at once. It encompasses everything self-care related, from morning juices to meditation guides, workout routines, and luxury skin care, yet no one knows exactly how to define it. But for Bustle’s Beauty Icons, wellness is about the choices that help them show up for themselves and others, whether that’s doing glam after a Peloton workout, hosting a book club podcast, or building community around chronic illnesses.

Icons are creators who have been there, done that. But their experiences aren’t just fodder for content — these nine women are actively shifting the culture, creating spaces where their followers can laugh, learn, and feel seen. They turn vulnerability into empowerment, honesty into empathy, and everyday routines into inspiration, proving that wellness isn’t just a beauty trend. It’s an appreciation of all the little things that add up.

Ahead, meet the wellness heroes of Bustle’s Beauty Icon Awards who are redefining what it really means to be beautiful — inside and out.

In 18 states, period products are still taxed as luxury items instead of essential goods that “literally make human life possible,” according to Nadya Okamoto. Her company, August, is working to eliminate that financial burden once and for all. Founded in 2021, the gender-inclusive period care brand offers a reimbursement program on any purchase — even now that its organic cotton products are stocked at Target, Whole Foods, and Gopuff. All you have to do is enter your phone number, upload a photo of your receipt, and wait up to 48 hours to receive the refund via Venmo or PayPal. On TikTok, Okamoto shares day-in-the-life videos behind running the brand, from donating surplus items at a food bank to changing her own tampons and pads— content that’s even been controversially taken down for showing real blood on screen. But as a period-equity advocate, Okamoto proves that beauty is political, and a wellness mindset can enact real cultural change.

Austria-based facial massage expert Olivia Szmidt is bringing her cult-favorite brand, Get Face Fit, stateside this month, introducing U.S. audiences to her non-invasive approach to skin sculpting, longevity, and stress release. Previously the facialist-in-residence at Dauphin Paris, Szmidt now offers her expertise through weeks-long online courses like “7 Day Face Lift” and “Reverse Aging,” building a global community that swears by the transformative power of her facial exercises. Szmidt recently released an ox-horn gua sha for scalp stimulation alongside a massaging balm that makes at-home sculpting more acceptable — reflecting her belief that “there’s no technology that can replace the power of hands.” In a wellness landscape obsessed with devices and quick fixes, Szmidt is redefining modern anti-aging as something slower, smarter, and deeply intertwined with self-care.

The Literary It Girl: Olivia Ponton

Hot girls read, and if you need proof, look no further than Olivia Ponton’s new podcast Booked & Busy. On it, the Sports Illustrated Swim breakout star and Victoria’s Secret angel shares her favorite reads with book club-style discussions between authors and friends — providing the perfect soundtrack for any evening wind-down. On TikTok, she shares things like her “winter arc,” a self-care challenge designed to beat seasonal blues. One of her favorite rules? Doing a lip stain a day, something quick and easy that still makes her feel put together. Because for Ponton, confidence — like a good book club — comes from showing up for yourself.

Katriona Li is on a mission to help young professionals reset, recharge, and fight workday fatigue — all with a few “Chinese Aunty” exercises. On her TikTok, she shares yin yoga poses designed to release joint tension and restore mental clarity — grounded in “ancient Chinese wisdom for modern burnout,” as she puts it in her bio. Li’s approach is refreshingly simple: Slowing down doesn’t have to be complicated, and wellness exercises don’t require a full studio or expensive equipment. From desk-friendly stretches to longer evening programs that help you decompress from mind to body, she demonstrates how consistent, accessible practices can breathe new life into your day. With her, slowing down feels playful, interactive, and achievable.

The Body Neutrality Advocate: Samyra Miller

Samyra Miller knows exactly who she is — and she’s unapologetic about taking up space. Her TikTok videos always start with the same pointed question: “Excuse me, where are your plus sizes?” signaling to her millions of followers that she’s about to put another so-called “inclusive” brand to the test. Miller uses her platform to champion body neutrality, an alternative framework to body positivity that acknowledges systemic weight-based biases and demands real inclusivity for (literally) everybody. She once went viral for calling out an airline after they denied her entry to a flight due to inadequate size accommodations — a moment that crystallized her larger mission. Through humor and unflinching honesty, Miller highlights the absurdity of everyday fatphobia while empowering her audience to demand accountability and move through the world without shrinking themselves.

The Fertility Educator: Adriana Wong

Dr. Adriana Wong, M.D., is the OB-GYN everyone wishes they had on speed dial. On TikTok and Instagram, she tackles the questions you’re too embarrassed to ask — from spotting endometriosis symptoms to navigating IVF — with clarity, empathy, and no judgment. As the self-proclaimed “BFF fertility doc,” nothing is off-limits, and her advice comes straight from an actual medical professional, which feels especially grounding in today’s algorithm-driven wellness space. Postpartum herself, Wong also shares candid tips on how she’s “reclaiming” her identity as a new mom, whether it’s a weekly blowout, strength training, or doing her makeup every day. Her message is clear: wellness includes medical truth, self-expression, and showing up for yourself in ways that feel sustainable.

But off the bike, she’s proving that fitness girls get glammed, too. On TikTok, Wang has become a product review queen, sharing makeup picks with the same upbeat energy she brings to every workout. Her content goes to show that strength, self-care, and style aren’t mutually exclusive. Wang encourages her followers to push themselves physically while still making space for fun, expressive beauty routines — because for her, sweating and glowing go hand in hand.

OG followers will remember Jada Jones at the height of her topical steroid withdrawal in 2024, as she documented the painful, raw reality of chronic eczema after stopping her prescribed creams. Her skin was cracked, inflamed, and tender — and she never hid it. Determined to find a solution, she traveled the world, exploring holistic remedies that could give her some relief. Today, she’s back with glowing, radiant skin, crediting part of her recovery to salt water therapy. Now, Jones uses her platform to help others navigating chronic skin conditions, even hosting a biweekly support group via Instagram. Her page is an empowering reminder that healing isn’t linear, and wellness starts with finding community.

Since she got diagnosed with PCOS in 2024, it was only natural that she would share that with her followers, too. After a year of experimenting, she revealed the lifestyle changes that helped her: eating an unprocessed diet, lowering cortisol by skipping coffee on an empty stomach, and swapping intense weight training for low-impact workouts like Pilates. Lafata’s platform has become a judgment-free space for PCOS education and her characteristic “big sis” advice, all without product pushing. It’s effortless glam with substance — proof that managing your hormones and feeling good in your skin can coexist.
