Why Zelenskyy slammed Trump

Why Zelenskyy slammed Trump’s Russian diesel deal after deadly strikes on Ukraine

Russia launched strikes on Ukrainian cities, including an attack on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia that killed 15 people, including three children, a day after US President Donald Trump agreed to help Russian diesel fuel reach global markets following a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Bloomberg reported.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy described the strikes as Russia’s way of “saying thank you” for the easing of restrictions on diesel exports. In a social media post on Saturday, he criticised the US decision, arguing that it would give Moscow additional revenue to sustain its war against Ukraine.

Trump said on Friday that increasing Russian diesel supplies to global markets would help lower fuel costs for American farmers, ranchers and truckers, key voting blocs ahead of next month’s US midterm elections.

The Russian strikes extended beyond Zaporizhzhia. Russian forces launched 160 drones at Ukraine overnight, according to Ukraine’s Air Force Command. Ukrainian forces intercepted most of them, but some drones breached air defences and hit targets across 14 settlements, the command said.

Russian attacks also caused widespread power outages in Kyiv and the surrounding region on Saturday, energy company DTEK said. Water supplies in parts of the capital were also disrupted after a Russian strike hit an energy facility near Kyiv, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said, without identifying the site.

Zelenskyy said the US decision to facilitate Russian diesel exports was a mistake that would help finance Moscow’s military campaign.

“It only feeds Putin and gives him the ability to fight even more,” he said in audio comments sent to reporters via WhatsApp on Friday evening.

Diesel deal comes amid Ukraine peace talks

Trump’s agreement with Putin came as Ukrainian negotiators were in Florida for peace talks. Zelenskyy said the discussions could consider a potential ceasefire on attacks against energy infrastructure as a first step towards ending the war.

However, he questioned whether Ukraine’s participation in the negotiations was being used to create an impression of progress while Washington pursued its own discussions with Moscow.

“I believe our team is simply being used as a smokescreen,” Zelenskyy said. “And that is certainly not fair. It is certainly not how partners should treat each other.”

The Goa Cricket Association announced its full squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy season on Friday, but Arjun Tendulkar failed to make the cut. The 27-year-old was also absent from Goa’s recent tour of Oman, as per a Sportstar report. Although a report had suggested that Arjun had opted to continue playing for Goa, his name did not feature in the squad announced by the association.

Arjun last turned out for Goa in the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy fixture against Kerala at Porvorim. He also represented the state in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

“Goa Cricket Association has announced its squad for the upcoming Ranji Trophy campaign, with Abhinav Tejrana appointed captain of the 16-member team. Canadian Medical-Grade Skincare Brand Di Morelli Expands Its Exosome Collection With New Exosome Overnight Repair Cream

The rich, nourishing formula pairs plant-based exosomes with ceramides and hyaluronic acid to support the skin’s natural renewal process while you sleep

VANCOUVER, BC, Oct. 8, 2026 /CNW/ — As interest in advanced skincare technologies continues to grow, Canadian medical-grade skincare brand Di Morelli is expanding its exosome collection with the launch of Di Morelli Exosome Overnight Repair Cream, a rich-textured overnight cream that deeply nourishes the skin and supports skin regeneration during sleep. Formulated with exosomes, this cream enhances intercellular communication, promoting accelerated skin repair, improving skin barrier function, and reducing visible signs of aging.

Di Morelli Exosome Overnight Repair Cream

Di Morelli’s plant-based exosomes are tiny messengers that help deliver powerful active ingredients to your skin cells to boost collagen, reduce inflammation, and support overall skin healing. Along with ceramides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, vitamin E, vitamin B5 and allantoin, the new Di Morelli Exosome Overnight Repair Cream is the next step in an advanced anti-aging routine that helps to restore and replenish dull, tired or compromised-looking skin.

Di Morelli Exosome Overnight Repair Cream enhances the benefits of Exosome Skin Repair Serum, an elevated, science-led formulation designed to support visible skin renewal, resilience, and repair at the cellular level.

Overnight Renewal Meets Advanced Skincare Technology

The skin’s natural renewal processes are an important part of maintaining a healthy-looking complexion, making nighttime an ideal opportunity to deliver concentrated nourishment and hydration. At the heart of Di Morelli’s Exosome Overnight Repair Cream formula are plant-based exosomes, which support intercellular communication and the skin’s natural repair processes. The formula also combines ceramides, essential lipids that help strengthen the skin barrier and reduce moisture loss, with hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant that attracts and retains moisture for a smoother, plumper and more supple-looking complexion.

The result is a rich overnight treatment designed to work while you sleep, helping replenish moisture, support the skin barrier and improve the appearance of visible signs of aging.

The Di Morelli Exosome Routine: Serum + Cream

The new Exosome Overnight Repair Cream also builds on Di Morelli’s existing Exosome Skin Repair Serum, giving consumers the opportunity to incorporate exosome technology into a simple two-step routine.

For an optimized nighttime routine, apply the Di Morelli Exosome Skin Repair Serum first, followed by the Exosome Overnight Repair Cream. The serum provides a targeted treatment step, while the rich cream layers on nourishing hydration and barrier support, helping to seal in moisture as the skin rests overnight.

Together, the Exosome Skin Repair Serum and Exosome Overnight Repair Cream create a complementary routine focused on supporting skin renewal, hydration and a stronger-looking skin barrier, making the pairing particularly appealing to those looking to address the visible effects of dryness, fatigue and aging.

A Must-See for Women in Their 30s and 40s: BLOOME, a Beauty Habit That Makes You Glow from Within with Triple Fermentation

As I have entered my 30s and 40s, there have been more moments where I have felt less confident looking at myself in the mirror with my usual care routine. With increased responsibilities at work and a busy life at home, even if I want to take my time with skincare, the reality is that I am often exhausted just getting through my hectic post-work routine. I myself have struggled with the frustration of not being able to find effective measures while worrying about how fatigue shows on my face.

In the midst of such a busy daily life, the solution I arrived at is an “approach from within.” In particular, care that utilizes the power of triple fermentation, which has been attracting attention recently, is a habit perfect for our generation that values efficiency. In this article, I will talk in detail about why fermented ingredients are the key to our beauty, why the stick jelly format lowers the hurdle for consistency, and the appeal of BLOOME, which brings positive changes to life, based on the recommended inner care methods I have actually tried and felt were easy to continue.

You don’t need to spend a lot of time on beauty. What’s important is to incorporate a small system of self-care into your daily life. Efficient and satisfying anti-aging care habits By acquiring these, why not aim for a comfortable lifestyle that fulfills you from within? I will explain the smart options for turning your busy days into your ally.

Conditioning Your Body with the Power of Triple Fermentation: Why Inner Care Is Necessary Now

Smarter Anti-Aging Care with a Unique Triple Fermentation Mechanism

As you enter your 30s and 40s, do you ever feel that your usual care is no longer enough? In the days chased by work and family, I myself have increasingly sighed while looking in the mirror, feeling that “something is missing.” That was when I encountered inner care using triple fermentation that incorporates proprietary technology.

Why are fermented ingredients good for beauty in the first place? It is because the power of microorganisms breaks down the ingredients into smaller molecules, making it easier for them to align with the “receptive power” we naturally possess. While general supplements are often taken as they are, this triple fermentation technology transforms materials into a more microscopic and easily absorbable state. To use an analogy, it might be similar to a cooking method where hard ingredients are simmered slowly to make them easier to digest. It is because of this ingenuity that an efficient and satisfying beauty habit is possible.

Especially for those of us living busy lives, Triple Fermentation Beauty Habit Stick Jelly is a very reliable presence. Even when you don’t have the time to prepare water to swallow pills, you can quickly take out the stick jelly from your bag and consume it anywhere. It tastes good, and even someone like me who gets bored easily could keep it up. In fact, by incorporating it into my busy mornings or my refreshment time between work, I have come to feel as if I am being conditioned from within.

Anti-aging care does not produce results overnight. That is why sustainability—*”how easily it can be continued”*—is the key. I feel that the reason why fermented ingredient beauty jellies have a good reputation in reviews is not just because the ingredients are excellent, but because this “ease of blending into daily life” is highly valued. Because we are busy, we want to make smart choices to take care of ourselves. This product is the embodiment of that desire.

I have tried and failed with many supplements in the past, but I feel a definite response to this method that can be naturally incorporated into my current lifestyle. Why not choose something you can be satisfied with and, above all, something you can continue comfortably for the sake of your own body? The first step toward your ideal self begins with the accumulation of such small habits. Please try it as an option to color your busy days positively.

Perfect for a Busy Daily Life: The Choice of Efficient “Beauty Habit Stick Jelly”

When you are chased by work and housework, the thing that inevitably gets pushed to the back burner is your own self-care. It is difficult to spend time on skincare in the midst of busy days. I myself used to be shocked when I looked in the mirror after returning home and saw my exhausted expression. That is exactly when it is important to adopt the recommended inner care mindset and have a habit of conditioning from within. Once you make an approach from within your body a habit, it will be a great help even when you are busy.

In skincare for working women, time-saving is a very important theme. However, it is a waste to give up on care just because you are busy. Therefore, I would like to recommend the “Beauty Habit Stick Jelly [BLOOME]” that allows you to easily incorporate the power of triple fermentation. What is wonderful about this product is, above all, its time performance. Since it is an individually wrapped stick type, if you keep it in your pouch, you can quickly consume it without water while commuting or during a break at the office. The flexibility of being able to take it out of your bag and care for yourself immediately even if you forget to take it in the busy morning is perfect for the modern lifestyle.

To give a concrete example, I try to eat this jelly when my morning preparations are hectic or when I am a little tired after lunch. Since it tastes delicious like a dessert, I can continue it every day naturally without feeling a sense of obligation. Since it eliminates the hassle of preparing water and swallowing pills like conventional supplements, the psychological hurdle has been significantly lowered. Even when I don’t have time for skincare, the peace of mind that I am eating this leads to mental leeway.

They say consistency is key, and this is certainly true for beauty as well. I have realized that consistently replenishing nutrients from within every day is more likely to lead to long-term changes than occasionally using expensive serums. The unique triple fermentation technology makes ingredients easier to absorb, providing solid support for your body even during busy periods when your lifestyle tends to become irregular. Efficient beauty habitIncorporating stick jelly as a is a reliable investment in your future self.

If you are thinking about incorporating “extra care” into your current lifestyle, why not start with this simple method? Cherishing your own time while nurturing your beauty within reasonable limits. I recommend starting such a mindful lifestyle with BLOOME. You can find more details on the official page, so please be sure to check it out.

Life with BLOOME: Turning busy days into “time to pamper yourself”

BLOOME for balancing mind and body: A positive habit that starts with portability

When you lead a busy life, it is difficult to make time to pamper yourself. I used to fall into self-loathing after returning home, thinking, “I ended up putting off my own care again today.” The answer I reached as a busy person is to make the most of small gaps in time. By incorporating small “mechanisms” into my life, I was able to establish comfortable habits without strain.

Indispensable to my daily life is the beauty habit stick jelly, BLOOME, which makes you shine from within with triple fermentation! The price is 3,500 yen. The biggest feature of this product is its surprisingly light portability. Because it is a compact stick type, it fits easily into work bags or small pouches. This means you don’t have to feel pressured to wait until you get home; you can turn your “gap time,” such as on the train during your commute or between desk work in the afternoon, into a chance for self-improvement.

For example, taking it out of your bag and consuming it before an important meeting. Just doing that gives you a sense of relief in a mind that tends to be cluttered by busyness. The fact that it requires no water and can be consumed smartly anywhere is a major benefit for modern women seeking efficiency. Since I started incorporating the inner-glow habit of BLOOME, what has changed most of all might be my own mindset. The small sense of accomplishment that “I was able to take care of myself properly today” accumulates and leads to confidence.

Even for me, who has tried and failed at many beauty habits, this stick jelly was able to naturally blend into my life. No special preparation or long time is required. Just keep it in your bag like you would your favorite lipstick. I have realized that this simplicity is the key to maintaining beauty for a long time.

Instead of giving up because of busyness, think about how to sneak “your own time” into your current lifestyle. That ingenuity is the first step toward positive changes that balance mind and body. If you feel something is missing from your daily routine, please try this recommended portable beauty jelly option. In a fleeting moment, the person in the mirror should look a little brighter. Let’s stack up comfortable days at a pace that works for you.

The habit I arrived at after trying and failing at numerous inner care routines was one that felt like a “reward” that I could continue without strain. No matter how excellent the ingredients are, it is meaningless if taking them becomes a burden. Can Skincare Alone Change Your Skin? The Relationship Between Sleep and Skin|TOOL LAB

Can Skincare Alone Change Your Skin? The Relationship Between Sleep and Skin|TOOL LAB

You follow a proper skincare routine every day.
You wash your face, apply toner, and use lotions and serums.
Even so, do you ever wake up in the morning and feel like your skin just isn’t quite right?

Your skin feels dry.
Your face looks tired.
You are concerned about skin roughness.

In such cases, reviewing your skincare products is one approach.
However, when considering the condition of your skin, it is not just skincare that matters.

Last time, we introduced the importance of looking at your daily diet regarding the relationship between food and skin.
And this time, we will turn our attention to another lifestyle habit: sleep.

Skin is a part of the body.
Just as daily meals provide the materials to build the body, sleep is essential for resting the body and maintaining its condition.
It is not just about “what you use,” but also “what you eat” and “how you sleep.”
If you are thinking about your skin, try looking at your daily lifestyle habits along with your skincare.

■ Skincare and sleep. They have different roles to begin with.

■ Skincare and sleep. They have different roles to begin with.

Both skincare and sleep are important when thinking about your skin, but their roles are not the same.
Skincare is care performed from the outside of the skin.
You wash away dirt and excess sebum, and maintain skin moisture with toners and lotions.

On the other hand, sleep is essential for resting the body and maintaining the condition of both mind and body.

In other words, it is not the case that “because I am doing skincare, it is okay if my sleep is a bit short.”

Conversely, it is also not the case that “if I sleep well, I don’t need skincare.”

Caring for the skin from the outside and letting the body rest properly.
Because each has a different role, it is important to consider both.

■ Are you sleeping well every day?

Let’s take a look at one man’s day here.

7:00 AM
Wake up.
I can’t get up even when the alarm goes off.
I was looking at my smartphone until past 1:00 last night.
↓
8:00 AM
Get ready in a hurry and head to work.
↓
7:30 PM
Finish work and return home.
↓
9:00 PM
Watch videos while eating dinner.
↓
11:30 PM
Take a bath and do skincare.
Apply toner and lotion.
↓
12:30 AM
Get into bed, but start looking at the smartphone.
↓
1:30 AM
Finally go to sleep.

Is this person okay because they do skincare every day?
Of course, just because your sleep time was short for one day does not mean that alone determines the state of your skin.
However, what if this lifestyle continues for days or weeks?
Lack of sleep affects the entire body’s condition, such as daytime sleepiness and fatigue.
And various studies have been conducted on the relationship between sleep and skin condition.
When you feel that “my skin condition hasn’t been great lately,” instead of just looking at your skincare products, try looking at your sleep time as well.
That is also one way to face your skin.

■ What is happening in the body while you sleep?

During sleep, the body is not just resting.
While you sleep, hormones such as growth hormone are secreted, and various functions related to repairing damage received during the day and maintaining the body are performed.

Of course, skin is no exception.
During the day, the skin is exposed to various stimuli such as ultraviolet rays and dryness.
Since these functions related to body recovery are performed during sleep, if sleep time is insufficient or the sleep rhythm is disrupted, it may affect the skin’s condition.
In fact, the link between lack of sleep and skin barrier function or visual impression has also been studied.

For example,
・You are concerned about skin dryness
・Your skin condition is unstable
・Your face looks tired
・You are concerned about skin roughness

When that happens, it is a good idea to look back not only at your skincare routine but also at your daily sleep habits.
However, the condition of your skin is not determined by sleep alone.
Various factors are involved, including diet, stress, ultraviolet rays, hormones, genetics, and skincare.
That is why it is important to think about your skin in the context of your entire daily life, rather than jumping to the conclusion that “bad skin equals lack of sleep.”

■ “Sleeping longer” is not necessarily better

So, for the sake of your skin, should you just sleep as long as possible?
That is not necessarily the case.
What is important is to ensure you get the amount of sleep you need and to create as regular a daily rhythm as possible.

While 6 to 8 hours is generally considered a guideline for adult sleep, the amount of sleep required varies from person to person.
It is not as simple as saying, “If you sleep for 8 hours, your skin will definitely become beautiful.”

Do you feel well-rested when you wake up in the morning?
Do you feel strong sleepiness during the day?
Let’s start by getting to know your own sleep state.

■ The “time before bed” that is surprisingly easy to overlook

How you spend your time before bed is just as important as ensuring you get enough sleep.

For example,
・Looking at your smartphone after getting into bed
・Continuing to work late into the night
・Going to bed at different times every day
・Consuming a lot of caffeine after the evening
・Looking at a bright screen right until you go to sleep

Do you have any of these habits?
Smartphones, in particular, tend to make you lose track of time once you start watching videos or checking social media.
You might think, “I’ll just look for a little bit,” but before you know it, 30 minutes or an hour has passed.
As a result, your bedtime may end up getting later and later.
If any of this sounds familiar, try putting your smartphone away at least 30 minutes before bed.
Starting with such a small adjustment is a good idea.

■ Can “sleeping in” solve weekday sleep deprivation?

You are busy with work during the week and your sleep time is short.
To make up for it, you sleep until noon on your days off.
There are probably people who live like that.
Sleeping longer on your days off can reduce sleepiness and fatigue caused by lack of sleep.
However, sleeping a lot on your days off does not mean you can make up for all the sleep you missed during the week.
Rather than continuing a lifestyle of “short sleep on weekdays, sleeping in on weekends,” it is important to ensure a stable amount of sleep on a regular basis.
You don’t need to live a perfect life every day.
Let’s start by trying to secure even a little more sleep during the week.

■ Thinking about how you “sleep” today for the sake of your skin

When you are worried about the condition of your skin, you tend to focus on skincare products.
But your skin is a part of your body.
That is why you should also look at your daily life itself.

How many hours did you sleep today?
Have you been resting properly lately?
Is your bedtime getting later?

You don’t have to change everything at once.
Put your smartphone away a little earlier than usual.
Go to bed a little earlier than usual.
Even such small changes can be the start of reviewing your lifestyle habits.

Skincare is something you do every day.
And sleep is also something you repeat every day.

Improving your diet and ensuring you get enough sleep—neither one alone determines the state of your skin.
It is not just about “what you use,” but also “what you eat” and “how you sleep.”
Why not start being mindful of what you can do for your skin, starting today?

The author, Betty Hurd wearing her flight attendant costume

16 Hair & Skincare Products I Love As A Flight Attendant

It’s taken me almost five years to feel like I finally nailed my hair and skincare routines to complement my career as a U.S. flight attendant. Travel takes its toll on the body. I struggled for a long time to find what worked for me before getting my hair and skin under control again. Now I’m 28 and feeling younger than ever.

Your beauty regimen should look a little different when you travel due to harsh environmental exposures and unfamiliar climates. These are the products I swear by to keep my skin glowing and my hair healthy around the globe.

16 Hair and Skincare Products I Never Travel Without

Sunscreen

Sunscreen is by far the most important product on this list. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP!

While you won’t get sunburned by UVB rays on a plane, UVA radiation is amplified at high altitudes. This is what causes wrinkles, aging, and even skin cancer. You’ll be exposed to it whether you sit next to a window or not, so apply sunscreen every six hours or so to ensure maximum protection.

My top choice is the Innisfree Korean Sunscreen SPF 50+ for its lightweight, hydrating formula. Don’t forget to apply it to your hands, too. Korean skincare comes out on top again!

Facial Cleanser

You need to wash your face every single night, especially after spending time in the polluted atmosphere of airports and airplanes. This prevents breakouts and allows your skin to effectively regenerate while you sleep.

Dirt, oil, and makeup weigh heavily on your face after long travel days. The La Roche-Posay Foaming Facial Cleanser is gentle on skin, but tough on impurities. I’ve had excellent results with this product, and I recommend it to my friends and family struggling with acne.

Moisturizer

Another La Roche-Posay product for the win! This brand is praised worldwide for its clinically proven results. I can only attest to how well their cleanser and moisturizer work, but I won’t switch to anything else from here on out. The proof is in the skincare pudding.

Though the La Roche-Posay Triple Repair Moisturizing Cream is a bit on the heavy side, it’s worth going for a denser moisturizer while traveling to give your skin more assistance to repair overnight. I apply a thick layer of this before bed and wake up with bright, hydrated skin.

Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C serum works in tandem with your sunscreen to neutralize UV damage and protect your fragile skin barrier from the sun. It also defends against the environmental pollutants that are amplified in the manufactured atmosphere of an airplane. AND it brightens your skin for a more even tone and texture.

The Timeless 20% Vitamin C Serum is enriched with ferulic acid and Vitamin E, two antioxidants proven to protect against sun and environmental damage to the skin barrier. Don’t fall for the $100+ Vitamin C serums. They’re made with the same ingredients and will provide the same results as this one for a fraction of the cost.

Hand Cream

My hands get dry enough as it is. Put me on an airplane for 10+ hours with frequent washes using long-stored tank water and BOOM! Dry, cracked, unsightly hands follow.

This ultra-moisturizing cream from Trader Joe’s is my favorite lotion to keep on hand (pun intended) because it’s made with skin-loving antioxidants like coconut oil and shea butter. Oh, and it smells amazing! I apply it after I wash my hands on the plane to prevent severe dryness and irritation.

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic Acid is one of the most effective chemical exfoliants thanks to its penetrative molecular size. It helps remove dead skin cells without having to harshly scrub your skin as you would with a physical exfoliant, risking further skin damage. Getting rid of dead skin cells allows other products like serums and moisturizers to work to their full potential. This is a team effort here.

The Ordinary Glycolic Acid was recommended to me many times before I actually made this life-changing purchase. Don’t wait like I did! I’ve noticed a massive difference in the smoothness of my skin texture, especially when I’m traveling through different climates. It even helps with ingrown hairs and the appearance of fine lines. This is a super-product!

Liquid Exfoliant

Blackheads don’t stand a chance against Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant. BHAs (salicylic acid) in this product work very differently from AHAs (glycolic acid) to bypass natural oils and get deep into your pores to battle acne. I rarely get pimples thanks to this product, and the blackheads on my nose are virtually gone. I’ve also noticed softer fine lines and wrinkles.

Don’t over-exfoliate! You only need to use a chemical exfoliant 2-3 times per week to get results without stripping your skin barrier of vital natural protectors. Try a skin-cycling method, which I discuss in my tips below, for best use.

Hydrating Mist

Hydrating mist is a game changer on an airplane. Your parched skin requires extra love on long flights in a dry cabin. A weightless face spray delivers a powerful dose of rejuvenating moisture.

The Eminence Organic Skincare Stone Crop Hydrating Mist completely elevates my skincare while traveling. I keep it on me throughout the day to refresh my skin when it starts to feel dry mid-flight. Organic ingredients like lavender and jasmine calm and nourish my skin to maintain a hydrated barrier all day long. And it smells so good.

Tretinoin

Tretinoin is the most highly studied anti-aging skincare ingredient in dermatology. It’s a potent retinoid that promotes cell turnover, increasing collagen production and reversing noticeable signs of aging. I only apply Tretinoin twice a week, and I have seen a massive difference in the evenness of my skin tone and the plumpness of my face.

Ask your doctor about starting a Tretinoin prescription. It can be harsh on skin at first, so make sure to start slow, about twice a week. Moisturize heavily before and after application, especially while traveling. Never skip sunscreen after applying Tretinoin, as it makes your skin more susceptible to sun damage.

Styling Cream

I’m all for the slick-back look, especially when I’m going for a sleek, professional hairstyle at work. The DAE Cactus Fruit Cream & Taming Wand is my favorite product to smooth flyaways and frizz all day long. It takes my whole look up a few notches with minimal effort.

DAE uses clean and hydrating ingredients that leave my hair feeling healthy and nourished after a long day on the airplane. And the cactus fruit scent smells divine! It’s the perfect travel size to keep in your purse so you can touch up your do throughout the day.

Shampoo & Conditioner

I never use the shampoo and conditioner supplied at my layover hotels unless I’m certain that they’re luxury quality and made with harmless ingredients. I’ve only found that at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver so far!

Biolage is the best haircare brand for fine hair like mine. The Ultra Hydra Source product is designed to deeply condition very dry hair. Even if you don’t typically have dry hair, remember that arid airplane cabins take their toll. I take travel-sized containers of this shampoo and conditioner with me on every trip so I can stay consistent and prevent scalp irritation.

Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a must on long-haul flights. A few spritzes at the roots can take you from feeling greasy and dirty to polished and fresh.

My hair gets greasy if I go one day without a wash, so I’m a big fan of the affordable and effective dry shampoo from MONDAY. It instantly absorbs hair oils and revives my look back to professional standards without leaving that unsightly white residue behind.

Silk Pillowcase

Most hotel pillowcases are made of cotton blends and washed with harsh chemicals. I bring my own pillowcase to prevent irritation and damage on my layovers. You never know how clean your hotel bedding really is, anyway!

The Adubor 100% Mulberry Silk Pillowcase works wonders while you sleep. Silk fibers are much gentler on hair and skin than comparable materials, leading to fewer fine lines, wrinkles, and hair breakage. This pillowcase also stays cool all night, helping you sleep more comfortably. I highly recommend switching to silk pillowcases to prevent bedhead and aging.

Face Mask

Self-care at an affordable price point? Say less. These KONEUK Sheet Face Masks stay in my suitcase by the dozen. A pack of 14 masks costs less than $8!

I use these masks once or twice a week after finishing my normal nightly skincare routine to relax before bed. They’re incredibly hydrating, leaving my skin feeling plump and refreshed after a dry day on the plane. These are the most affordable sheet masks I’ve found with the cleanest, least irritating ingredients.

Glazing Milk

BYOMA Milky Toner

This toner takes my skincare up a notch when flying to foreign environments.

Glazing milk, though not necessarily essential for your daily skincare routine, adds another layer of hydration to your travel regimen. I love how moisturized my skin feels after pressing 6 to 8 drops on my face and neck.

While I’ve been using Hailey Bieber’s Rhode glazing milk (I got it as a gift!), the BYOMA Milky Toner is half the price and just as reliable as the aformentioned overhyped label. This product takes my skin one step closer to that soothed and refreshed state I seek after long-haul flights in harsh environments.

Healing Ointment

I’m convinced there’s nothing Aquaphor can’t do. This tried-and-true skincare gem is perfect for chapped lips, cracked hands, and any other dry skin. Keep this in your travel bag in case your skin gets unusually red or irritated on the go. Aquaphor is praised for its effective versatility and is clinically proven to alleviate dehydrated skin.

6 Tips for Maintaining Your Skin and Haircare Routines on the Go

Get TSA-Friendly Containers Instead of Buying Everything Travel-Sized

My travel toiletry bag

Most of the products on this list come in full-sized containers. Make sure to buy a travel toiletry kit of TSA-approved containers under 3.4 ounces. That way you’ll never risk having non-compliant items taken away at airport security.

Hydrate From the Inside – Drink Water!

Water is life! It’s essential for skin and hair health because it improves blood circulation, which delivers imperative nutrients to those cells. The more water you drink, the more your body can repair the damage done by outside factors. It also boosts skin elasticity, which lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Sunscreen is Your Best Friend at 40,000 ft

Applying my sunscreen as part of my routine

Sunscreen is imperative on any daytime flight, as mentioned in my product breakdown above. UV intensity nearly doubles at cruising altitude. So I’ll say it again: the best way to prevent harmful skin damage is to never ever skip your sunscreen on a flight. And don’t forget to reapply every few hours!

NEVER Use the Water from the Sink on the Airplane

Please, for the love of God, never use airplane sink water to wash your face or brush your teeth. When 250-gallon tanks are refilled, the water already in the tank frequently becomes exposed to unsanitary conditions. Though disinfected to meet aviation standards, these water systems regularly test positive for bacteria, no matter what airline you fly.

Plus, that potable water might sit in the airplane for six months before the whole tank gets properly flushed and cleaned. Use bottled water in the lavatory if you need to refresh yourself mid-flight.

Keep Everything in One Skincare and Haircare Bag to Stay Organized

My hanging toiletry bag

Hanging toiletry bags keep everything organized on the go. Small containers and products get lost in the abyss of your suitcase when loosely packed with all of your other belongings. Keep everything in one easy-to-find place to make your skin and haircare a breeze wherever you roam.

Try a “Skin Cycling” Routine

Rotate your more powerful skincare products throughout the week to prevent stripping your skin and creating conflict with product results.

Here’s how I do it:

This has worked wonders for my sensitive skin, but experiment with different timing to see what works best for you.

Dry airplane cabins and long travel days have nothing on you now. Your skin and hair will thrive throughout your adventures with these 16 products in your bag.

Skincare Routines Aren't Built Around Trends, But Around Consistency

Skincare Routines Aren’t Built Around Trends, But Around Consistency

If social media is to be believed, achieving great skin requires an elaborate arsenal of products.

One week it’s skin cycling. The next it’s slugging. Then comes the five different acids, seven-step routines, and ingredients with names that sound more suited to a chemistry lab than a bathroom shelf. Yet despite spending more on skincare than ever before, many people continue to struggle with the same concerns: lingering breakouts, recurring blackheads, uneven texture, post-acne marks and skin that never quite looks as healthy as they’d hoped.

The takeaway? Healthy skin rarely comes from doing more. It comes from doing the basics consistently.

Recent research has increasingly highlighted the importance of routine adherence in maintaining skin health. Acne alone affects about 1 in 5 people globally, with prevalence reported at 20.5% worldwide and 28.3% among adolescents and young adults aged 16–24. Studies have found that regular cleansing, moisturising and barrier-supportive care contribute to better hydration, improved skin barrier function and higher treatment success, particularly among people having acne-prone skin.

In other words, before chasing the next miracle ingredient, it may be worth asking a simpler question: are the foundations of your skincare routine actually working for your skin?

The Overlooked First Step

When people think about solving a skin concern, they typically focus on treatment products. The serum that fades marks.
The cream that promises overnight transformation. The latest ingredient trending across social media.

A practical starting point is cleansing. Blackheads, uneven skin texture and recurring acne breakouts are often caused by a build-up of excess oil, dead skin cells and everyday environmental impurities. Studies point out that improper shedding of skin cells and pore blockage are key contributors to acne-prone skin. At the same time, over-cleansing can be equally problematic.

Harsh cleansers may leave skin feeling squeaky clean, but they can also disrupt the skin barrier, increase dryness and irritation and sometimes triggering even more oil production in response. This makes it useful to choose a cleanser that does more than simply wash the face. An effective cleanser should remove impurities while supporting overall skin health.

This is where formulations containing Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), particularly glycolic acid, have gained attention. Glycolic acid is valued for its ability to gently exfoliate dead skin cells and encourage skin renewal, helping improve texture and the appearance of congested pores over time.

Why Skincare Doesn’t Stop After Cleansing

A common misconception is that cleansing alone is enough. In reality, cleansing prepares the skin. What follows is equally important.

Environmental stressors such as UV exposure, pollution, heat and everyday lifestyle factors can affect the skin barrier. Over time, this can leave skin looking dull, dehydrated or uneven…even in the absence of active breakouts. Research increasingly links acne management and long-term skin health with maintaining barrier function and supporting the skin’s natural repair processes.

That is why effective cleansing should be paired with products that supports hydration and daily repair.

Building A Routine That Lasts

Skincare rituals that are easier to maintain often share one thing in common: simplicity.

Rather than layering multiple products with overlapping functions, the focus shifts towards creating a routine that people can realistically maintain every day.One such example is a simple two-step routine built around cleansing and daily repair.
The first step is AHA Glow Facewash, #1* dermatologist prescribed AHA facewash. Formulated with Glycolic Acid and milliglobules, AHA Glow Facewash gently cleanses without drying the skin and fits in a routine that is easy to follow.

With regular twice-daily use, clinical study has shown visible blackhead reduction of up to 74% after 28 days. The formulation is non-comedogenic, sulphate-free, paraben-free and dermatologically tested.

The second step focuses on supporting the skin after cleansing. Once the skin is cleansed, it also needs care that helps protect, restore and keep dryness in check, especially when exposed to sun, heat, pollution and everyday environmental stressors.
AHA Glow Repair Gel to prevent formation of sun burnt cells, soothes dry skin, supports moisturisation for 24 hours. Formulated with ectoin, marine and botanical extracts, it fits easily into a daily routine without making skincare feel complicated.
Together, these two products from the house of AHA Glow make the routine feel less like a long list of products and more like a habit that can be followed consistently every day.

The Future Of Skincare May Actually Be Simpler

For years, the beauty industry has celebrated bigger routines and more steps.

But consumers today are becoming increasingly discerning They’re asking not only whether a product works, but whether it deserves a permanent place in their routine.Perhaps that’s why the conversation is evolving beyond acne, scars and quick fixes. The new goal isn’t perfect skin…it’s resilient skin. Skin that is consistently cared for, properly cleansed, adequately hydrated and supported every day. Because while trends will come and go, good routines tend to outlast them all. And sometimes the healthiest skin starts not with adding another step, but with committing to the right ones.

Vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night? I looked into two ingredients I had been using without much thought|SORA研究所

Vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night? I looked into two ingredients I had been using without much thought|SORA研究所

1. Why are you using that retinol and vitamin C?

Are you using them just because they seem “good for your skin”?

Both vitamin C and retinol are staple skincare ingredients. Since you often see their names in social media posts and reviews, it is easy to think, “It’s safe as long as it’s in there.”
However, if asked, “So, what exactly is it doing for your skin?”, you might find it surprisingly difficult to answer.

Actually, retinol and vitamin C have very different roles

Broadly speaking, these two have completely different areas of expertise.
Vitamin C: Protects the skin from “oxidative damage” caused by UV rays and the like, in charge of defense
Retinol: Supports functions related to skin turnover and firmness, in charge of renovation work

Both are widely used ingredients in skincare, but protecting and rebuilding are different types of work. Also, how much they actually work depends significantly on the type, concentration, and formulation of the ingredient.

First, let’s learn “what kind of effect the ingredient is intended to have”

The fact that their roles are different also means you can choose based on “which one suits my concerns.”

Concerned about dullness or UV damage → Lean towards vitamin C
Concerned about firmness, texture, or fine lines → Lean towards retinol

Keeping this perspective in mind will make choosing products much easier.

2. What is vitamin C doing in the morning?

The main role of vitamin C is “antioxidation”

The primary role of vitamin C is “antioxidation.”

When you are exposed to UV rays, unstable substances called “active oxygen (free radicals)” are generated within the skin. It is believed that these damage skin cells and collagen. Vitamin C has the function of neutralizing this active oxygen.[^1]

What happens to the skin when exposed to UV rays?

Skin damage caused by UV rays is not just about getting red from a sunburn. It is known that over a long period of time, it leads to spots, dullness, and a loss of firmness (so-called “photoaging”).

Using vitamin C in the morning is based on the idea of preparing for the oxidative stress caused by the UV rays and outside air you will be exposed to throughout the day.

It is also related to pores, texture, and clarity

In addition to antioxidation, vitamin C also has

is well-known. [^1]

In Japan, some vitamin C derivatives are approved as active ingredients in quasi-drugs (medicated cosmetics) for their efficacy in “suppressing melanin production and preventing spots and freckles.”

However, this does not promise dramatic changes such as “pores disappearing” or “spots vanishing.” It is best to think of it as an ingredient for “prevention and support” in your daily care.

Note: “Vitamin C derivatives” like C10 are modified forms designed to stabilize vitamin C (ascorbic acid), which is otherwise easily broken down. While they are expected to function as vitamin C within the skin, the efficiency of their conversion varies depending on the type of derivative, and there is less research on them compared to pure vitamin C. [^1]

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5605218/

However, it is not a substitute for sunscreen

This is an important point.

The job of vitamin C is to neutralize reactive oxygen species that have already formed. Since its mechanism is different from sunscreen, which blocks ultraviolet rays themselves, it cannot replace sunscreen. Even in research papers, it is positioned as a way to “supplement oxidative damage that cannot be fully prevented by sunscreen alone.” [^1]

I think it is best to imagine morning vitamin C as a “defensive substitute player placed under your sunscreen.”

Vitamin C = morning defense. But the ace is sunscreen.

3. What does retinol do at night?

Retinol is an ingredient that helps with “renovation work” for the skin

Retinol is a type of vitamin A. It is thought to change into retinal and then retinoic acid within the skin, where it plays a role in skin cell turnover and collagen production. [^2][^3]

In other words, it is like supporting the skin renovation work that takes place while you sleep.

Effects on firmness, texture, and fine lines

In a study targeting elderly individuals, it was reported that a group that applied 0.4% pure retinol consistently for 24 weeks saw an improvement in fine lines. [^2]

In Japan, quasi-drugs containing retinol as an active ingredient for “improving wrinkles” have also been approved.

However, this is only if used properly for a set period at a specific concentration and formulation. It does not guarantee that the products you have on hand will yield the same results.

Results do not appear immediately

Since this is renovation work, it is not something that will be completed in a day or two. In the aforementioned study as well, the evaluation was done over a period of months.[^2]

It is an ingredient that would be a waste to give up on after saying, “I used it for a week but nothing changed.”

Beware of irritation, dryness, and peeling

When you first start using retinol, you may experience

  • redness

  • dryness

  • peeling

  • tingling sensations

.[^3][^4] This is not “proof that it is working,” but rather a reaction (side effect) to irritation. Medically, it is sometimes called “retinoid dermatitis.”

It is commonly referred to as “A-reaction,” but there is no need to endure strong irritation and continue using it.

  • Start with a low frequency, such as once every 2 to 3 days at first

  • Do not be greedy with the amount

  • Moisturize thoroughly

It is common to let your skin get used to it using methods such as these.

Also, regarding medical-grade retinoids, there is literature that suggests they should be avoided during pregnancy.[^4] If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is safer to consult a doctor in advance even for cosmetic retinol.

Retinol = night shift work. Do not rush, take it little by little.

4. Why vitamin C is for the morning and retinol is for the night

Morning is for protection against UV rays and oxidative stress

To summarize what has been discussed so far, the reason is simple.

Since vitamin C is an “ingredient that prepares you for damage you are about to receive,” its role is easier to understand when used in the morning before being exposed to UV rays.

Retinol is easier to use at night considering light and irritation

There are mainly two reasons why retinol is often used at night.

  1. Some members of the retinol family (retinoids) are easily broken down by light [^4]

  2. When you first start using it, it is prone to causing irritation and dryness, making the skin more sensitive [^4]

It is more logical to use it at night and let it work thoroughly rather than using it during the day amidst UV rays.

Also, while you are using retinol, sunscreen the next morning is more important than ever.

There is no problem with using vitamin C at night

This is something that is surprisingly not well known.

Vitamin C is not an ingredient that must not be used at night. Its antioxidant and melanin-inhibiting effects can be expected both in the morning and at night.

For those who say, “I’m too busy in the morning to have time to apply it,” using it at night is one option.

It is not a case of “it must be morning” or “it won’t work unless it’s at night”

“Vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night” is a “convenient time to use” thought of based on the properties of each.

It is not an absolute rule, and it is fine to just remember it as:

  • Vitamin C: When used in the morning, it easily fits the role of daytime protection

  • Retinol: It is safer to use at night due to light and irritation

that much is fine.

5. Can retinol and vitamin C be used together?

Using both is fine. But there is no need to layer them at the same time

To start with the conclusion, it is fine to use both vitamin C and retinol in your daily skincare routine.

However, “using both” here means using them at different times, such as vitamin C in the morning and retinol at night. It does not mean layering them at the same time. You may see talk online that “using them together cancels out their effects,” but as far as I have researched, I have not found any clear evidence to support that.

On the other hand, I could not find any evidence that layering them together increases their effectiveness. Since both are ingredients that can cause irritation, layering them unnecessarily might only increase the burden on your skin.

Separating them into morning and night is the simplest approach

Vitamin C in the morning, retinol at night. This way of separating them has the following benefits:

It is easier to tell which one is the cause if irritation occurs
You can match them to their respective optimal times (Vitamin C for daytime defense, retinol for nighttime repair)
Since you are layering fewer ingredients at once, it is easier to reduce the burden on your skin

Ultimately, the common advice to use them separately is the most straightforward approach.

Don’t push yourself if you feel irritation

If you experience redness or stinging,

  • reduce the frequency of retinol

  • take a break from one or both for a while

  • consult a dermatologist if symptoms persist

and other such measures are important to avoid overdoing it.

Skincare is not a case of “the more, the better”

Active ingredients do not work faster just because you apply more of them. In fact, it can increase irritation and even damage your skin’s barrier.

Consistency every day with an amount and frequency you can maintain. This is the best shortcut.

6. You can choose skincare based on “ingredients and purpose” rather than brand

Focus on “what is the purpose of using it” rather than the brand name

After reading this far, you will see that what is important is not “which brand” but rather

I think it has become clear that this is the case.

I want to use vitamin C-based ingredients in the morning,
I want to use retinol-based ingredients at night

If you think this way, you will be able to compare other products as well.

Products sold on e-commerce sites are easy to obtain and often reasonably priced, which is a major advantage for maintaining a routine.

Knowing that there are other options for the same purpose also expands the fun of choosing.

So next, I will compare them based on ingredients, price, and ease of use, rather than brand name.

Don’t choose retinol based on concentration alone

When choosing retinol-based products, it is recommended to check not only the concentration number, but also:

  • Type of ingredient: Is it retinol (pure retinol) or a derivative like retinyl palmitate?

  • Consideration for irritation: Is it a low concentration for beginners, or for those who are used to it?

  • Container: Is it a container that is resistant to light and air (such as a tube or airless container)?

as well.

Vitamin C is also not “all the same if it’s 10%”

Vitamin C is the same; even if it says “10% formulation”,

  • Is it pure vitamin C (ascorbic acid)?

  • What type of vitamin C derivative is it (APPS, VC-ethyl, ascorbyl glucoside, etc.)?

  • What is the 10% based on? (Labeling methods vary by product)

can significantly change the contents. If you get into the habit of looking at the ingredient list instead of just comparing numbers, you will be less likely to make mistakes.

Let’s compare price, volume, ingredients, and ease of use

Ultimately, it is realistic to compare them based on the following four points.

Price: Not just the base price, but the price per 1mL
Capacity: How many days it lasts
Ingredients: The type of target ingredient and how it is formulated
Ease of use: Texture, scent, lack of irritation, and ease of continuing

If you are satisfied with your current product, there is no need to force a change

I have introduced alternative candidates here, but if your skin is in good condition with your current product and you are able to continue using it, there is no need to force a change.

The most important thing in skincare is to continue using products that suit your skin.

What is important is not to do it ‘just because,’ but to

be in a state where you can explain, ‘I chose this product because I want this ingredient.’

to be able to explain it.I hope this article serves as an opportunity for you to review your daily skincare routine.

I hope this article serves as an opportunity for you to review your daily skincare routine.

Summary

  • Vitamin C plays a primary role in anti-oxidation. Using it in the morning fits its role as ‘defense’ against UV rays. However, it is not a substitute for sunscreen.

  • Retinol is in charge of ‘nighttime construction’ to support skin turnover and firmness. It is easily broken down by light and can cause irritation, so it is easier to use at night. Expect results over a period of several months.

  • It is not that “it must be morning” or “it won’t work at night,” but rather a matter of the most convenient time to use them.

  • The two can basically be used together. For beginners, it is easier to understand if you separate them into morning and night.

  • Choose products based on ingredients, purpose, price, and ease of continued use rather than brand.

*This article is a summary of information researched by an individual regarding skincare ingredients. Effects vary by individual. If skin problems persist, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a professional such as a dermatologist.

Online casinos in Ireland as regulatory rules change

“Online casino Ireland” is a market category, not a single operator. Irish adults may find gaming sites serving the country under overseas licences while Ireland phases in its domestic system. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 established a new framework and the Gambling Regulation Authority of Ireland (GRAI), but dedicated licensing is still being rolled out. This review covers what to check before registering: the licence, games, promotions, payments, support and safer play measures.

Check the licence and Ireland’s changing rules

For an gaming site serving Ireland, check which regulator is named and confirm the permit in that regulator’s official records. Don’t rely on a badge or a broad claim. GRAI licensing is being phased in, so verify the operator’s current status. A site may hold an overseas licence without GRAI authorisation; don’t assume every casino serving Irish players already has an Irish online casino licence.

Check what the licence covers and how the operator handles disputes. Read the terms for games, including wagering rules, withdrawal limits and fees. See how to contact player support, and whether the replies are clear. A strong licence, fair dispute procedures and plain terms tell you more about a casino’s reputation than awards alone.

See what the game lobby offers

Some operators serving Ireland hold overseas licences while the local system develops. When comparing live casino IE options, check the site’s licence and player safeguards, then look through the games catalogue. The selection may include slots, table games, live dealer titles and sometimes game shows. Studios and titles vary by site, so confirm providers and game availability on the operator’s own site. Check whether slot demos are available, and try the phone version on your device to see how games load and live streams run. Before depositing, review the bonus terms, payment options and support availability.

Read promotion terms before valuing an offer

Before valuing a bonus, check that the operator has a credible licence and clear player protections. Ireland’s licensing system is still being phased in, so note which regulator oversees the site. Offers may include cashback, tournaments or loyalty perks. Read the terms for wagering requirements, eligible table games, expiry dates and withdrawal conditions. Check whether games contribute differently toward wagering, and whether payment methods or cashouts have limits. Make sure the site has the games you want and accessible customer support. Be cautious with targeted inducements. Irish rules are tightening restrictions on inducements and promotional messaging, so a headline amount does not guarantee value.

Inspect the cashier before depositing

Check the payments page before opening an account to see which payment options are available. Debit cards and e-wallets are common, but each casino sets its own options. For operators subject to Irish rules, credit card gambling and payment methods funded by credit are prohibited. Read the cashier terms for fees, minimum deposits, withdrawal limits and processing times, and check the licence details. Find out what identity checks are required and when documents may be requested. Compare the games library and, if you plan to claim a bonus, read its wagering rules. Make sure support can explain payment delays before you deposit.

Test support and account verification

Before registering with an casino site, review its stated licence, games, bonus terms and payment rules. Check for live chat and a useful FAQ. Find out when help is available, how quickly the operator replies, and whether its answers are clear, especially about identity checks or payment delays. Verification is a normal part of account checks, money laundering controls and player protection. Exact requirements vary by operator and licence.

Check player protection

Review the online casino’s licence, games, bonus terms, payment rules and support. Check whether you can set deposit limits, receive spend alerts, self exclude and use inactivity controls. Responsible gambling help should be easy to find, not confined to a policy page. Ireland’s framework under GRAI is still developing, so check how any applicable National Gambling Exclusion Register arrangement works and whether the site explains access clearly. Look for published RNG testing or independent audits. Safeguards that are easy to find and use are a core sign of trust.
