How Celebrity Beauty Trends Are Influencing Women’s Self-Care Routines?

How Celebrity Beauty Trends Are Influencing Women’s Self-Care Routines?

Discover how celebrity beauty trends influence everyday self-care routines, skincare habits, and makeup choices and learn which viral beauty tips are actually worth trying.

Celebrity looks are used to stay on red carpets. Now TikTok and Instagram make the newest looks feel like a weekly group project, which is why a self-care routine can start borrowing from the latest makeup trends and skincare products without much warning.

This piece breaks down how trends spread, why women keep upgrading their routine, and what is actually worth copying.

As MagzineCelebs has highlighted across celebrity and beauty coverage, the most successful beauty trends are usually the ones people can realistically fit into their everyday routines rather than expensive transformations.

Source: Instagram

Celebrity beauty trends are built for screenshots, and that is the trick. One glazed-skin close-up can sell a whole mood, plus a cart full of skincare routine products. Short videos make contour look easy, so the latest makeup trends feel less like a stunt and more like something you can try before work.

Hailey Bieber is a perfect example because she turned the dewy, minimal clean girl look into a brand identity with Rhode. People do not just copy the lip and skin combo, they copy the whole polished self-care routine mindset. Her influence is not just aesthetic, becauseHailey Bieber’s Rhode success story also shows how much power celebrity-led beauty can have.

  • Screenshot-friendly close-ups travel fast
  • Five-second demos make hard steps seem simple
  • Fans trust the face behind the trend
  • Founder and face combos feel more official
  • Rhode made the clean look feel like a full lane

The Celebrity Effect On Daily Habits

The effect is not just about makeup. Morning habits get upgraded with ice rollers, skin tint, and brow gel, and suddenly a self-care routine feels like a tiny reset. Night habits get stickier too, because people stick with skincare routine products longer when they expect to see a real change.

Beauty also gets bundled with sleep, water, movement, and supplements, so it starts feeling like wellness with better lighting. That mix is why celebrity clips can nudge people into habits they keep.

  • Ice rollers make mornings feel less heavy
  • Brow gel and tint save time
  • A visible glow keeps people consistent
  • Wellness and beauty end up sharing the same shelf

Celebrity-Inspired Self-Care Routine Ideas That Do Not Need A Star Budget

The 5-Minute Polished Self-Care Routine

A five-minute self-care routine works because it keeps the bar low and the payoff clear. Tinted SPF, a touch of concealer, cream blush, brow gel, and lip treatment are enough when you want polished, not packed on.

  • Tinted SPF gives light coverage and sun protection
  • Cream blush adds color fast
  • Brow gel makes the face look finished
  • Lip treatment keeps everything easy

The Skin-First Routine That Holds Up

This is the part people skip when they chase trends. Cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF stay in rotation, and one active gets added only when skin actually needs it. That kind of rhythm is calmer than chasing every viral serum.

  • Start with the basics before add-ons
  • Use one active at a time
  • Give products time to show results
  • Keep the routine steady, not crowded

The Going-Out Makeup Version Without The Full Beat

For nights out, keep it to one focus feature, like glossy lips, soft liner, or glowing skin. That keeps the look tied to the latestmakeup trends without turning your face into a paint job.

  • Pick one feature and let it lead
  • Keep the base light so skin still looks like skin
  • Prep first so makeup sits better
  • Comfort matters when you are out for hours

I found one little trick that cut my regret by 90%. There’s no fancy secret, no weird 7 step routine or anything. First, you lock in the 3 core products you use every single day. The ones you would never leave the house without. Then you are allowed to buy exactly one trend item per month. That is the entire rule. There is no fine print, no catch at all.

Start With A Core Kit

  • Cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF come first
  • Add one product only after the basics feel steady
  • Keep the routine short enough to repeat daily
  • Glowy skin often means more hydration and better barrier care
  • Glossy lips usually point to lip balm and SPF
  • Soft liner trends work best when the shade flatters your face

Spend On Staples Before Trend Colors

  • Good skin care gives better results than hype
  • Trend shades are easier to test than full routine swaps
  • A solid base makes every beauty trend look better

If you want a simple place to start, these glow up tips can help you build something repeatable.

Routine Levels That Actually Make Sense

  • Starter: cleanser, moisturizer, SPF
  • Add-on: gentle exfoliant one to two times a week
  • Level-up: one serum for one goal, not five
  • Advanced: retinoid, added slowly and carefully
  • Women usually swap finish, not full routines
  • Lip and cheek products change faster than skin care
  • Hair and brows often follow the same pattern
  • The biggest shift is usually in how fast the routine feels

Smarter Buying Questions To Ask

  • Will I use this in three weeks?
  • Does this fit my skin, not just the trend?
  • Can I match it with what I already own?
  • Is this fixing a real need or just a mood?

A Good Rule To Follow

  • One new product at a time
  • Try it for long enough to see results
  • Keep the things that actually earn shelf space
  • Skip the rest without guilt

Routine LevelMust-Have ProductsAdd-OnsStarterCleanser, moisturizer, SPFGentle exfoliant 1 to 2 times a weekLevel-UpSerum for your goal, SPF you will reapplyRetinoid, slowly

Conclusion

Celebrity beauty trends are never going away, and they do not have to be a bad thing. They can be great fun, and great inspiration for small upgrades to your routine. The win is not copying every single new thing that goes viral.

The win is building a repeatable self care routine, using a small handful of reliable skincare routine products, and treating the latest makeup trends as optional fun upgrades, not mandatory requirements.

The Top 5 Celebrity Skin Routines Ranked By Popularity With An Unexpected Blowout Winner

Celebrity skincare routines have officially taken over the beauty world.

Fans have been dissecting every product and every step in the hopes of recreating that red carpet–ready skin at home.

The skincare brand Skinara set out to rank the most in-demand celebrity skincare routines. They found that millions of people are obsessively searching for the secret behind the flawless-looking skin that stars like Kim Kardashian and Hailey Bieber have.

But when the results came in, the top spot for the most searched celebrity skincare routine went to someone unexpected.

The Skinara May 2026 report analyzed 25 different celebrities known for high-interest skincare routines.

The “total online interest” was defined as the combined level of public curiosity and media attention around each celebrity’s skincare routine.

It includes two metrics: the estimated monthly Google search count for each celebrity’s skincare routine and the number of times media outlets covered that celebrity’s skincare or skincare routine.

Experts at Skinara explained that the data most likely shows the “curiosity” that social media users have about celebrity skincare routines and does not necessarily translate to “consistent behavior.”

“High search volume means people are interested in learning about a celebrity’s routine, but it does not prove that they are actually following it every day,” a representative for Skinara told Bored Panda.

“Many people may search because they admire the celebrity’s appearance, want product ideas, or are curious about expensive or unusual skincare habits,” they continued.

While these routines are racking up millions of searches, the skincare experts behind the study warned that they may be setting the bar a little too high for some people.

“Most people following these celebrities do not have the same lifestyle, budget, or access to estheticians, professional treatments, makeup artists, lighting, editing, and expensive skincare products,” they said.

They also highlighted a noticeable gap between celebrity-endorsed routines and what dermatologists would typically recommend.

Skinara explained that celebrity routines can include “good skincare habits, but they may also be more “generic” and sometimes “more expensive or product-heavy than what a dermatologist would usually recommend.”

“Dermatologists typically focus on routines that are tailored to a person’s skin profile and specific concerns,” they added. In contrast, celebrity routines may feature luxury products, sponsored items, or treatments that may not be suitable or accessible to other people.”

Here are the top 5 celebrity skincare routines ranked by total online interest:

What to Look for When Booking a Facial in London

With so many options available, choosing the right facialist requires a considered approach. It is always worth checking whether a consultation is offered before treatment, as the best practitioners will assess your skin in detail before recommending anything.

If you have specific concerns such as hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, sensitivity or rosacea, look for a specialist with proven experience in that area. Waiting lists should not be seen as a drawback. In many cases, they are a strong indicator of quality and demand.

Celebrity Skincare Expert’s ‘Genius’ Lip Balm Hack Could Save You Hundreds Per Year

James Vivian, a Melbourne-based dermal therapist known for sharing skincare tips on Instagram, in a March 15 video claimed that lip balms have the potential to serve more than their marketed purpose.

The expert said that lip balms can replace anti-aging products that target a specific, delicate area of the face by providing the same hydrating benefits at a more economical price.

Many on the internet corroborated the claim, with one saying they had been using lip balms in the way the skin expert shared for decades and that it made them look like they were in their “40s instead of 70s.”

Another user who tried the trick after Vivian’s video also said it “worked wonderfully.”

James Vivian advocated the use of lip balms as under-eye creams

“As a 42-year-old man who hasn’t spent much time in the sun, really, the area of aging that I’m seeing most on my face is around my eyes,” Vivian said in his video.

The skin around the eyes is one of the thinnest on the body, making it particularly prone to dryness, creasing, and premature aging.

Keeping this area hydrated could help minimize the damage, Vivian said, before sharing that he uses no fancy product to achieve the results.

He instead said he swears by using his lip balm to soothe and rejuvenate his under-eyes.

Lip balms are packed with occlusives and emollients — ingredients designed to lock in moisture — which is why Vivian believes they can double as a quick, budget-friendly eye treatment.

Vivian, however, warned against using balms “that fire up the lips” around the eyes.

“The really spicy ones with stimulating ingredients for circulation and plumping, the kind of bee-sting products, I’d keep that away from eye areas,” he said.

He also noted that it’s not a good idea to apply lip balms under makeup, as the thick texture of the product can disrupt concealer and cause creasing.

Jennifer Lopez’s makeup artist, Scott Barnes, encouraged using lip balms under makeup

In a May 2024 video, Barnes claimed one of his most reliable makeup hacks is to use Aquaphor (a balm stick by a company called Eucerin) on his clients’ eyes before proceeding with concealer.

The technique prevents concealers from creasing, caking, or breaking down, especially when someone is filming a music video or a movie that goes on for long hours.

Barnes asked his followers to try the hack and let him know if it worked for them.

The hack was soon tested by Glam Girl Gabi, a renowned beauty influencer and a licensed hairstylist and makeup artist.

“I’m going to try the trick all the freaking way. I’m doing the classic bronzy J.LO smoky eye,” Gabi claimed.

Pointing to the fine lines under her eyes, Gabi said, “I really do have an issue with my concealer creasing.”

After applying the lip balm under her eyes, she proceeded to do a full face of makeup, including concealer, foundation, setting powder, and more.

Gabi looked impressed with how her concealer set under her eyes, thanks to the lip balm towards the end.

“I have tried every d**n hack. I’ve tried every single thing. My under-eyes have never looked better,” she said.

Hours after first doing her makeup, Gabi gave her viewers a video check of whether her eye makeup remained in place.

“They look so much better than they normally look after a few hours. Life-changing, I tell ya,” she shared.

In a separate video, James Vivian warned against spraying perfume directly on the skin

Highlighting people’s habit of spraying fragrances right on their neck, Vivian said it could have long-term consequences.

He explained that applying perfume to the skin can trigger a condition known as Poikiloderma of Civatte.

It is a sun-induced skin condition in which the affected area develops reddish-brown pigmentation, mottled discoloration, and thinning of the skin.

While it is not harmful, it is notoriously difficult to treat once it develops.

Laser treatments, along with diligent sun protection, can help improve appearance, but Vivian stressed prevention is far better than cure.

Image credits: Cultura Creative/Adobe Stock (Not the actual photo)

Many perfumes contain photosensitizing ingredients (citrus oils, oakmoss, and certain synthetics like musk ambrette), which can make the skin more sensitive to UV rays.

When applied to sun-exposed areas like the neck, these ingredients can magnify the effects of sun exposure, accelerating pigmentation changes and even breaking capillaries over time.

Vivian advised using scents on clothes, hair, or covered skin, like under the collarbone, to protect oneself against stubborn pigmentation issues later in life.

“I swear to God, I came up with this on my own one day,” a netizen said

Celebrity Skin Decoded: Want To Have Flawless Skin Like Alia Bhatt-Deepika Padukone? Aisshwarya Panddit Shares Non-Negotiable Daily Skincare Habits| Aisshwarya Panddit Interview With Filmibeat

Celebrity skincare tips: Want to have flawless skin like Alia Bhatt and Deepika Padukone? While we gush over the beauty regimes and skin of our favourite tinsel town divas, are we doing what it takes to have the perfect skin? It’s time to decode Celebrity skincare.

Celebrity Cosmetic Doctor Aisshwarya Panddit, in an exclusive conversation with Filmibeat Chief Copy Editor Abhishek Ranjit, revealed the three non-negotiable daily skincare habits that are a must for camera-ready skin. Aisshwarya, who is the Founder of AuraEdge Aesthetic & Wellness, shared clinical insights into aesthetic maintenance.

What do people mean when they say ‘I wish to have skin like Bollywood divas’? This is the question often asked but rarely answered. As we interacted with the celebrity cosmetic doctor, we bombarded her with several questions. Read on to know as they might turn out to be helpful if you’re looking to have the perfect skin like your favourite celeb.

Here are excerpts from the interview-

1. When people say they want ‘skin like a Bollywood celebrity,’ what are they actually referring to from a clinical perspective?

When someone says they want skin like a Bollywood celebrity, they are usually not referring to perfection. Clinically, what they are noticing is uniformity.

From a medical standpoint, celebrity skin typically reflects three key factors: even pigmentation, refined texture, and structural integrity. The skin appears luminous because the barrier is intact, inflammation is controlled, and collagen support is maintained. There is minimal congestion, very little post-inflammatory pigmentation, and no chronic redness.

Under studio lighting and high definition cameras, even the smallest irregularities become visible. So what people interpret as ‘flawless’ is often the result of meticulous maintenance of skin tone, pore refinement, hydration balance, and controlled muscle movement that prevents deep lines from forming prematurely.

It is rarely about heavy intervention. It is about consistency and strategic, medically guided upkeep.

2. Is flawless celebrity skin purely genetic, or is there structured skincare and aesthetic maintenance behind it?

Genetics absolutely play a role in baseline skin type and ageing patterns. However, what the public sees on screen is not genetics alone.

There is almost always a structured skincare protocol, disciplined lifestyle habits, and periodic professional maintenance involved. High profile individuals understand that their face is part of their profession. Just like physical training or vocal training, skin health is maintained with intention.

In my practice, this often includes customised skincare suited to their skin biology, preventive treatments to support collagen and elasticity, pigment control when required, and inflammation management especially in high stress lifestyles.

What distinguishes them is not extravagance. It is regularity. They do not wait for visible damage before seeking intervention. They invest in preservation rather than correction.

3. What are the most common misconceptions people have about celebrity skin and cosmetic treatments?

One of the biggest misconceptions is that celebrity skin is either entirely natural or entirely artificial. In reality, it sits somewhere in between.

Another misconception is that more procedures equal better results. In fact, over treatment is one of the fastest ways to lose natural facial harmony. Ethical aesthetic medicine is subtle. If someone looks dramatically altered, it is rarely the standard approach among responsible practitioners.

There is also a belief that fillers are preventive. They are not. Fillers are corrective tools and must be used judiciously. Preventive strategies focus more on skin quality, collagen support, muscle balance, and inflammation control.

Finally, many people underestimate the role of lighting, makeup artistry, and post production. What we see on screen is curated. Skin in real life has texture. That is normal and healthy.

4. How important is preventive skincare in your practice, especially for younger clients influenced by celebrity beauty standards?

Preventive skincare is central to my philosophy.

Younger clients today are highly influenced by social media and celebrity culture. I see many individuals in their early twenties who feel pressured to look airbrushed. My role is to educate them that healthy skin ages well when respected early.

Prevention in your 20s is about sunscreen discipline, acne control, barrier protection, and avoiding unnecessary invasive procedures. In your 30s, it becomes about collagen stimulation, controlled muscle relaxation where indicated, and pigment management.

I always emphasise that prevention should not be visible. The goal is to maintain natural structure and expression while slowing cumulative damage. When done responsibly, preventive aesthetics is aligned with wellness and confidence, not vanity.

5. What are three non-negotiable daily skincare habits you recommend for maintaining healthy, camera-ready skin?

First, broad spectrum sunscreen every single day. Indian climates involve high UV exposure year round, and pigmentation is one of the most common concerns I treat. Sunscreen is not optional.

Second, barrier focused skincare. This means a gentle cleanser, appropriate moisturisation, and avoiding overuse of exfoliants. An intact barrier reflects light better and appears naturally radiant.

Third, consistency. Skin responds to routine. Frequently changing products or following trends disrupts balance. Healthy skin is built over months and years, not days.

Additionally, hydration, sleep quality, and stress regulation cannot be ignored. Chronic stress shows up as dullness, breakouts, and premature ageing.

6. As we approach summer, what are the most common skin concerns you see, and how can individuals protect their skin from pigmentation, tanning, and dehydration?

In Indian summers, I commonly see pigmentation flare ups, tanning, acne exacerbation due to humidity, and dehydration from excessive sun exposure.

Protection begins with reapplication of sunscreen every two to three hours when outdoors. Lightweight, non comedogenic formulations are ideal for humid climates. Wide brim hats and physical barriers are often underestimated but extremely effective.

Hydration must be both topical and internal. Gel based moisturisers with humectants help maintain water balance without clogging pores. Excessive exfoliation during summer often worsens pigmentation and sensitivity, so it should be moderated.

For individuals prone to melasma or post inflammatory pigmentation, early medical guidance is important. Pigment once deepened is harder to reverse than to prevent.

7. During winter, many people experience dryness and barrier damage. What changes should be made to skincare routines to maintain hydration and glow?

Winter shifts the skin towards dryness and transepidermal water loss. I often see increased sensitivity, flaking, and dullness during this season.

Skincare routines should become more nourishing. Cream based cleansers, richer moisturisers with ceramides, and barrier repair formulations are beneficial. Over exfoliation should be reduced significantly.

Humidifiers in indoor environments can help maintain moisture balance. Lip and under eye care become more important during colder months.

If someone is undergoing aesthetic treatments, timing and skin preparation must be adjusted seasonally to minimise irritation and optimise healing.

Seasonal adaptability is key. Skin is dynamic, and routines should evolve with climate.

8. With increasing exposure to social media filters and beauty trends, how can individuals balance inspiration from celebrities with realistic, healthy skin goals?

Filters have dramatically distorted perception of normal skin texture. Even high-definition cameras do not eliminate pores or natural lines.

I encourage my patients to view celebrity beauty as inspiration, not a template. Each face has unique anatomy, proportions, and ageing patterns. The goal should never be to replicate another person’s features.

Responsible aesthetic practice begins with assessment and honesty. Sometimes the most ethical advice is to decline a treatment request.

Healthy skin goals should focus on clarity, comfort, and confidence rather than perfection. When we prioritise long term skin health over instant transformation, results are more sustainable and emotionally satisfying.

Ageing is natural. Ageing well is intentional. And that intention must be guided by medical integrity, not trends.

The skincare spotlight is shifting away from overcrowded bathroom shelves and to something far more familiar: traditional home remedies that have stood the test of time.

Turmeric and besan are used for gentle cleansing and glowing skin.

In 2025, celebrity skincare is undergoing a quiet but meaningful shift. Glossy, multi-step routines packed with actives are making space for something far more intuitive: ingredient-led care rooted in simplicity. As conversations around skin barrier health, sustainability, and over-processing grow louder, many celebrities are choosing to pare back and return to time-tested rituals.

Among the many celebrities, Rakul Preet Singh stands firmly at the forefront of this movement. Known for her disciplined fitness lifestyle and consistently radiant skin, the actor credits her glow not to excess, but to familiar kitchen staples that nourish the skin gently and effectively. This renewed interest is not about nostalgia but about intention. Food-grade ingredients, minimal processing, and seasonal care are now being recognised as powerful tools for maintaining skin balance. Celebrities across industries have openly spoken about turning to kitchen staples to restore hydration, calm irritation, and support a natural glow.

Why Traditional Ingredients Are Gaining Credibility

According to holistic beauty expert and aromatherapy pioneer Dr. Blossom Kochhar, this return to basics is a necessary recalibration rather than a fleeting trend. “Our grandmothers relied on food-grade ingredients for skincare because they are fresh, effective, and free from unnecessary chemicals. When used correctly, they work beautifully with the skin’s natural rhythm,” she explains. As consumers become more ingredient-literate, the appeal of simple, recognisable components continues to grow.

Banana, Honey, And The Art Of Skin Nourishment

Among the many natural remedies resurfacing in celebrity routines, banana-based face masks have gained particular attention for their hydrating properties. Rakul has often spoken about using banana, honey, and natural oils to combat dryness and fatigue caused by long shooting schedules. A ripe banana mashed with a teaspoon of vegetable oil and honey forms a deeply nourishing mask that improves elasticity and restores softness when used weekly.

Other celebrities, especially those balancing outdoor shoots and frequent travel, have also shared their preference for hydration-led masks that feed the skin rather than stimulate it aggressively.

Winter Skincare And Probiotic Masks

Seasonal skincare has become a key focus in 2025, with winter demanding extra attention. Yoghurt-based face masks, which are blended with honey, milk powder, and small amounts of banana, are increasingly favoured for their probiotic and moisture-binding benefits. “This recipe works beautifully because it combines probiotics, natural humectants, and gentle nourishment,” says Dr. Kochhar. Used once a week, it helps counter dryness caused by cold air and indoor heating.

Cleansing Without Compromising The Skin Barrier

Cleansing and exfoliation, often overdone in modern routines, are being reimagined through gentler practices. Traditional besan-based scrubs made with multani mitti and sandalwood powder are making a return for their ability to cleanse without stripping natural oils. Used mindfully, they help improve circulation and keep pores clear. Instead of daily soaps, Dr. Kochhar recommends gram flour mixed with milk or rice water. “This method cleanses the skin while maintaining its pH balance, making it especially suitable for sensitive or acne-prone skin,” she notes.

Brightening, Moderation, And Lesser-Known Rituals

Turmeric remains a popular choice for brightening, but restraint is essential. A balanced paste using a pinch of turmeric, milk powder, lemon juice and honey can improve skin tone when used occasionally. “Turmeric is powerful, but it must be used in the right proportion to avoid irritation,” advises Dr. Kochhar.

Another lesser-known remedy involves black and white cumin seeds ground with fresh cream, applied twice a week to soothe the skin and improve texture.

Celebrity skincare in 2025 reflects a broader cultural shift towards restraint, awareness and respect for the skin’s natural processes. By embracing home remedies rooted in tradition and supported by expert insight, beauty routines are becoming more mindful and sustainable. In an age of endless innovation, the most enduring skincare philosophy may simply be about returning to what has always worked – consistently, gently, and with intention.

Namrata Soni on modern skincare trends

10-step Routine Does Not Work: Celebrity Makeup Artist Namrata Soni’s Hot Take on Modern Skincare Trends

Celebrity makeup artist Namrata Soni sparked a vital conversation on modern-day beauty standards, stressing that India’s weather conditions, lifestyles, and skin types may have made the much-followed “10-step skincare routine” unsuitable for many people.
In a conversation with ANI, Namrata, while reflecting on the industry’s evolving expectations, also mentioned the rise of “botox and filters”.
“We live in a country where the 10-step skincare routine does not work because we have a lot of humidity. So that means after step one itself, you’re perspiring. Imagine you’re putting that on, then you’re sweating, then you’re putting on another. So you’re like literally putting sweat between each layer of your skin. It’s crazy. Just keep it simple. Cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen, and eye cream at night. That’s all you need,” Namrata said.
Noting that heavy filter culture has created pressure on people to constantly appear flawless, Namrata added, “We live in a world of Botox and fillers and surgeries. It’s so easy with lasers and CO2 to have that kind of skin today.”
She emphasised how Indians with a lot of elasticity and melatonin in their skin don’t face the quick wrath of ageing, which she explained requires women to start a proper skincare routine from their mid-20s.
“Mid-20s is when you start a skincare routine. I mean, people have started at 16 and 14, which I don’t understand. I don’t understand girls going to Sephora and buying skincare at 14 and 16. But I would say like 23, 24. And it does not have to be a crazy routine. It just could be an amazing moisturiser meant for your skin type and a lip balm, and a sunscreen,” she said.
A renowned makeup artist, Namrata Soni, is known for working alongside several Bollywood celebrities like Sonakshi Sinha, Rani Mukerji, Sonam Kapoor, Twinkle Khanna, and others.
In the most recent, Namrata also created the stunning bridal look for Netra Mantena.

Netra, the daughter of Orlando-based billionaires Padmaja and Rama Raju Mantena, got married to Superorder co-founder Vamsi Gadiraju in a grand and star-studded ceremony in Udaipur.
Known for her signature soft-glam aesthetic and meticulous attention to detail, Soni crafted a red lehenga look that perfectly complemented the grandeur of the royal setting while also keeping Netra’s natural elegance at the forefront. (ANI)

Makeup forecast 2026: Minimal and natural looks will rule, say celebrity makeup artists

Makeup forecast 2026: Minimal and natural looks will rule, say celebrity makeup artists

Every season and year brings a fresh wave of creativity in the world of makeup. But there’s one thing constant: makeup is not only about looking good, but feeling good from within. Year 2025 was about a fascinating blend of minimalist beauty and bold colour statements. The question is what follows next year? At the recently-concluded Nykaaland, team HT Shop Now caught up with celebrity makeup artists Daniel Bauer and Namrata Soni, to discuss the trends worth looking forward to

Year 2026 is going to be all about minimal makeup, expert says(Instagram)

Minimalist, natural makeup looks may rule

According to Namrata Soni, semi-matte skin – “basically very cloudy, gorgeous natural skin” – is here to stay.

Daniel Bauer, who has styled celebrities like Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and Anushka Sharma, says, “I don’t see a lot of highlighting and contouring happening next year. I think that should go! In fact, I wish it should go.”

At Nykalaand, while Daniel showcased bold makeup styles, Namrata Soni, best known for styling Sonam Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, and Isha Ambani, was all about bridal glow.

A makeup trend that should make a comeback

If there’s one makeup trend that should make a comeback, Namrata Soni wishes it is dark, beautiful eyes should definitely make a comeback. “I think eyeshadows should definitely come back in trend. People have veered away from eyeshadows, and a good eyeshadow, powder eyeshadow, can really amp up your look. So I hope that trend comes back”, says Soni.

Most loved makeup technique

Bauer loves to mix a lot of things together. “I like mixing contouring, highlighter, foundation, all together to create a new look. It’s always a little bit better, a little bit more blended”, says Bauer.

Three makeup products to create a glam look

If there were only three makeup products to create a glam look, it would be a kajal, eyeliner, and mascara for Bauer. While for Soni, it would be red lipstick, black eyeliner, and a beautiful contour and blush.
